In political parties, prolonged uncertainty about leadership positions can significantly impact governance and administration, as unresolved leadership issues create confusion among party officers and hinder effective decision-making. When party leaders consider stepping down, it often signals aspirations for higher positions, such as Chief Minister, and requires the party high command to take firm decisions to maintain organizational stability and governance effectiveness.

Karnataka Congress | Congress Leader KN Rajanna Claims DK Shivakumar Sent Resignation Months AgoAdded:
Congress senior leader K.N. Rajanna has made [music] a big claim. He has said KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar sent resignation months ago. And he goes on to say that as per my knowledge, DKS [music] three to four months back might have sent his resignation to the party high command. Says dragging party issues for long [music] is not good. Decision should not be dragged. Enough is enough.
These are according to the Congress leader words of DKS. Come to conclusion soon. These issues are affecting the governance and the party. [music] The officers are not on set due to this confusion as well. The high command should take firm decision. I stand firm [music] with Siddaramaiah. He if he is asked to step down, then I want G.
Parameshwara to become the chief minister. I'm going to go across [music] to Ritu for more on this. Uh but before that, let's take a listen in to what the Congress leader clearly said when [music] he says that DKS sent his resignation three to four months ago.
What are you making out with these kind of developments in the party now?
It is all good in the interest of the state governance as well as the party.
Because many of the things has to be discussed with the top leadership of the high command.
And Siddaramaiah ji wants to take some guidance and some advice from the Rahul ji to run the government as well as you see we are right now we are ready to face this local body election. Next there is a Rajya Sabha election and council elections. And then ZP and Taluk Panchayat, Gram Panchayat elections, all those elections are impending before the party as well as the government also.
So all those things has to be uh done very early. So for that reason he might have consulted all those things with Rahul ji. At the same time you see now only this calendar of events is published for council as well as the Rajya Sabha.
So, for that elections, we have to select the candidates. Even that is also a major issue and a very important, very timely also.
So, second is regarding the cabinet reshuffle.
So, he wanted to take the advice of Rahul ji about the cabinet reshuffle.
So, these are all the important issues and the change of uh uh party president also. It is also there.
All right, let's go across to Ritu who held that interview with that Congress leader K.N. Rajanna. Uh Ritu, clearly the Congress leader making those claims that DKS sent resignation 3 to 4 months ago. Do you think the high command is now come under some kind of a pressure to perhaps resolve this issue, this friction, [music] DKS's aspirations of becoming the Chief Minister of Karnataka after the 2.5-year power-sharing agreement?
You see, what's interesting when we go by K.N. Rajanna's mood as such, what with what he's really claimed, no matter whether the high command is in mood to clear this whole issue or not. But but with this, you know, the statement that's given by K.N. Rajanna, it becomes quite clear about the mood of D.K.
Shivakumar who in fact, if at all this is this is really happened as he K.N.
Rajanna is claiming that as per his knowledge couple of months back only that the KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar has I know sent his papers or for that matter has conveyed to the party high command as well about the KPCC position that he really wants to step down because his a message then of course would become clear to the high command that he really is aspiring to become the Chief Minister's position. If not the Chief Minister's position, probably he does not want to be the KPCC uh president as well. Now, that's the reason you see post that if you interestingly see the kind of developments that we have seen in the past in Karnataka as well. That's when we saw Satish Jarkiholi's name coming into picture and we then saw him, you know, in writing to Delhi. Not just that, you see interestingly that >> us, Ritu. Stay with us. Stay with us.
We're getting you some breaking news again. Rahul Gandhi and K.C. Venugopal have left the meeting and as [music] we speak, they're heading to meet Sonia Gandhi. Remember, this comes after Siddaramaiah and Rahul Gandhi held that meeting for 45 minutes and then the leaders broke off for lunch. Earlier in the day, they also held a joint meeting [music] with K.C. Venugopal, Rahul Gandhi, Surjewala. They held a joint meeting with the Karnataka [music] Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Deputy Chief Minister D.K.S. But as we speak, after marathon of meeting which started since 11:00 a.m. [music] today, at this point of time, Rahul Gandhi and K.C.
Venugopal have left the meeting which he had with Siddaramaiah for 45 minutes and they're heading to meet Sonia Gandhi. Remember, the second round of meeting is also one-on-one meeting of Rahul Gandhi with D.K.S. [music] All this at a time when there's slew of issues being discussed within the Congress high command. Number one, the Rajya Sabha seats, who will get and also the 2.5 year rotational power-sharing agreement that was made [music] between D.K.S. and Siddaramaiah at this point of time. But after a marathon of meetings, [music] joint meetings, separate meetings, one-on-one meetings with D.K.S. Siddhu, Rahul Gandhi along with K.C. Venugopal is now all set to meet Sonia [music] Gandhi. Major questions remain. Has the high command now finally decided on who will be the Chief Minister of Karnataka?
