His political journey has mirrored Adikar's. His family was originally aligned with the Trinimal Congress. That is why he was a prime target. He was initially with the Trinimal Congress then switched along with Shuendo Adikari. His mother Hashidat was also a prominent local political figure. She also served as a functionary in a panchayat samiti later joined the BJP alongside her son and Adiari. So the families are also known to each other and they've had a similar political trajectory. In 2019 when Shuindu Adikari served as a minister in the West Bengal government, Ratat that is Chandraanath was also appointed as his assistant secretary in the water resources investigation and development department.

[00:01:44]And when Adikari defected from the Trinamul Congress to the BJP in December 2020, Chandraatraat remained a loyalist and continued to be his assistant managing critical administrative and political responsibilities including Shuendu Adikari's tenor as the leader of opposition. They've gone to their houses. No one is coming out. No one is speaking to media. No one is sharing anything. Everyone is so much afraid and scared of the present situation. And that is a fear psychosis which TMC has been creating since long in West Bengal. And that is which the citizens now don't want. But yesterday's incident has some or the other way let the psycho you know fear psychosis get a grip of the shopkeepers the locals who are living here. No one is speaking to us.
