Again, former Republican Mesa County Clerk, Tina Peters, will be out of prison June 1st after the governor commutes her sentence. It's one of nine commutations he announced today as well as 35 pardons. Peters' attorney, John Case, asked me for Polis' announcement saying all he had heard are rumors when I reached out to him to see if we could talk. So, he may not have known about this. Democratic Attorney General Phil Weiser, whose office handled the appeals case, called the commutation mind-boggling and wrong. We'll have more reactions to this news throughout the afternoon.
