[00:00:14]This wind inflates a massive teardrop-shaped bubble around us called the heliosphere.

And the sun's magnetic field is carried by the solar wind, creating a sort of magnetic web that entangles and deflects up to 90% of this intense interstellar radiation before it even reaches Earth. Interstellar radiation is just a like a cosmic rain of subatomic particles, mostly protons, traveling [music] at nearly the speed of light.
