[00:04:19]Harish, the Congress has always been uh caught in a quagmire over its alleged links to the SDPI. Nonetheless, even though we don't vouch for the authenticity of this leaked audio tape, it does expose, allegedly expose former Minister Zameer Ahmed uh Khan's links with the SDPI. What do you make of that interaction and how, you know, it's being used as an opportunity by the Congress's political rivals in the state?

[00:04:46]>> Well, uh this is now going to be a huge issue for Zameer Ahmed Khan's because we've seen, if you remember, during the Davangere by-polls uh which took place uh sometime uh late April, you had allegations by uh Congress leaders themselves that Zameer Ahmed Khan had given out anywhere around 3 to 10 crore rupees to SDPI candidate. That eventually resulted in the SDPI getting 18,000 votes. It's a party that barely got a couple of thousand votes in the 2023 Assembly election. There were allegations that the dissent within the Congress units in Davangere was uh fueled by Zameer Ahmed Khan and political secretary, the former political secretary of Siddaramaiah, Nazir Ahmed. Nazir Ahmed was sacked.

[00:05:30]Congress's minority chief, minority wing chief was also sacked. And then, there was speculation that Zameer Ahmed Khan would be dropped from the cabinet. But now, this video going viral gives further boost to those allegations. Uh as you rightly mentioned, this is uh CNN-News18 doesn't vouch for the authenticity of this audio clips, but this audio clip does put the mirror Ahmad Khan in the docks. Surprisingly, he tried to manage or at least he's managed to meet the Siddaramaiah this morning and he was a Siddaramaiah loyalist, but what we are picking up is Siddaramaiah himself now believes that this has damaged the party and the party should be taking action on all those people. That's why he let go of his political secretary. What will be the future of Zameer Ahmad Khan is the question. There are also indications coming in that this is more of a party insider hit job than the BJP or any other opposition parties triggering this. This looks like the minority infighting within the Congress party culminating in some of those leaders ensuring that Zameer Ahmad Khan doesn't land another cabinet berth.
