3 new big treesAdded:
Hey guys, I'm out for a drive and I just spotted a crazy rock wall on the side of the road. I just found a pull off and there's a creek down here and a big old popppler tree. So, let's go scope it out.
This tree is on a crazy steep bank, but it's a huge tulip popppler.
Let's see if I can get up here higher.
Guys, this is such a steep bank. I don't even know how to film this. But like, okay, this is the best I can do.
See that? I've never seen this one before. And it's really big, so that makes it cool.
A huge ginormous sycamore tree which is pretty small.
Oh man, check out this wall, guys.
It's so big.
Whoever built this wall did an amazing job. Look at the craftsmanship on this.
It's so big. It must have taken forever to build. Um, and it's still here.
I don't know what kind of stone this is.
It's not diabase. There's like I don't know. I don't even know what this is.
So, um it's not that late. It is light out, but I'm kind of tucked in like a little um like valley where the sunlight is not hitting. So, I'm kind of chasing sunlight right now. It's all dark down in there. I want to go to where there's some sun. Also, some really nice um beach trees up in this patch of woods.
Well, it's kind of exciting because I've never been to this patch of woods before. I've driven past it and have been intrigued. Um this is my first time here, so I don't really know what to expect. I'm trying really, really hard to avoid no trespassing signs. Um, but don't forget guys, there will be um an absence of no trespassing signs in heaven. So, I'm holding out for that. I mean, that's my theory anyways. That's what I think is going to happen.
This is rather stunning, though.
It's so exciting to see something new.
That's a good one.
Still really smooth.
Got a really nice northern red oak that I've never seen before.
Got lots of pretty um witch hazel bushes.
There's a lot of really nice black birch in here.
The showstopper is these really nice American beach trees that are not carved on and still have smooth bark that have not succumbed yet to the um the bark disease or the leaf disease.
They will pretty soon because check out those leaves.
They look pretty crink crinkly.
There's that tulip pplar again, guys. It's ginormous.
hoping to scope out a new patch of woods, but um this is what a lot of the woods look like because nobody clears all the invasives.
This is what happens, guys. Check out the bark on this huge white ash tree.
It's crazy.
Oh, check it out. There's a little spring, guys.
I found one more amazing tree I want to show you. This is a big old chestnut oak tree. It's absolutely ginormous and it's three for one.
Hey guys, don't go anywhere.
That is another new one.
for me.
All right, guys. Look who's hiding up in the sycamore tree right there. You see him?
It's Mr. Blue heron.
He was just fishing a minute ago and I scared him away.
Anyways, I just ended up at one of my usual spots because um I couldn't really find any good public land with any big trees. So, I figured I'd just sit and watch the sunset at the creek.
And it's working out pretty good.
Remember how I told you guys that the killed deer are creek walkers?
Well, there's one right now. I don't if you can see him boopping around.
I don't know what he's doing, but he's hanging out in the creek.
I got one more tree that I want to show you uh before we head out. I've showed it to you before, but it's just such a stunning um red oak tree. just has like the gnarliest bark and it's really fluted on the bottom.
This is a phenomenal example of a red oak tree.
That is a bad a tree.
I don't know what these are, but they call they um come from an oak tree, and I've always called them an oak ball.
Um, if you know what it is, let me know.
They're really, really cool.
There's the inside.
There's a lot of trout out right now.
Check out how tall these old teasils are.
They're so cool. Anyways, um I need to head out. It's getting kind of late, so thank you so much for joining me as always. And um you have a wonderful, fabulous evening. Stay golden, guys. Oh my gosh, guys. I almost forgot that I um went out recently and checked on mail.
Um and there was a package. Uh very exciting from Darren. So, I just wanted to thank Darren really quick. Uh, I opened up my package and I got sent me a rock pick um that I will be taking and using at the coal mines to collect things like cubic pyate and um crystals.
So, that's very very exciting. Um, and then these reusable bags, Chico bag.
See these little reusable bags? There's two of them. Um, and then he also sent said that he sent me um dog wood seeds, which is really cool. I've never tried growing a dog wood. Um, I've always wanted a dog wood, so thank you so so much, Darren. I will be keeping this in my backpack when I go to places like the coal mines and um possibly to test out like big big big pieces of Jasper to check well and Flint um to check on the quality and see if it's um pieces that I want. So shout out to Darren. Thank you so so much. of your package.
