[00:00:36]I congratulate his Excellency Prime Minister for his leadership.

[00:00:42]Timor-Leste has been able to become a full member of ASEAN and therefore completing our enlargement of ASEAN membership uh started from last year.

[00:00:55]But this year is a very special moment because uh Excellency just attended the 48th ASEAN Summit where Excellency made very important contribution to the discussions of the leaders.

[00:01:11]And uh this is the first time in ASEAN that we amended ASEAN Charter to allow Timor-Leste to come in.

[00:01:18]Uh this is very historic.

[00:01:20]But of course we discussed uh also the uh desire the interest Timor-Leste to become the chair of ASEAN in 2029 uh after uh become the full member of ASEAN because alphabetical alphabetically uh right after the Philippines will be Singapore next year 2027.

[00:01:47]And then Thailand in 2028 and the next T will be TL will be 2029. This is alphabetical order that we have.

[00:01:57]But we have confidence in Timor-Leste under the able leadership of Excellency Prime Minister.

[00:02:03]And Timor-Leste has made significant progress and success uh in becoming a part of the ASEAN family.

[00:02:12]And all ASEAN member states have been expressing full support uh for Timor-Leste.

[00:02:19]And my working visit here is to strengthen the relations between the Secretariat and Timor-Leste which we are very much proud of Timor-Leste.

[00:02:31]And we believe that Timor-Leste will become a part of the ASEAN single market production base.

[00:02:38]Uh which of course right now we are working we are on path to become a single market production base. Because Timor-Leste is not just 1.5, 1.6 million market size.

[00:02:48]But Timor-Leste is being part of the almost 700 million uh market size. And this is very significant area.

[00:02:55]And we look forward to an increasing uh more investment uh more tourism, more trade, more connectivity which of course Timor-Leste will be able to enjoy in the future.

[00:03:09]Of course from now uh and moving forward.

[00:03:12]But uh I believe we are of course also I congratulate Excellency Prime Minister on the 24th anniversary of the independence days of Timor-Leste. It is a great nation here, you have great people here.
