In Indian democratic systems, coalition governments are formed when no single party secures a majority, requiring multiple political parties to unite and share power. The oath-taking ceremony, administered by the Governor, formalizes the assumption of office by the Chief Minister and cabinet ministers, who must take both an oath of office and an oath of secrecy. This process involves careful negotiation among coalition partners, including minority parties like the Muslim League, to ensure balanced representation and political stability. The ceremony symbolizes the transfer of power and the beginning of a new government's term, with significant political implications for the state's governance and future policies.

Foreign speech. Foreign speech. Foreign speech.
for Sunday. Joseph for of there PCC president of Keralum also somebody who won from Peravur in Cano defeating somebody seen as extremely powerful LDF leader Shalaja teacher former health minister of Keralm and on the on the left hand side your screen you see Vidi Satishan this was before the earth taking you also see Benoy you you also see Mr. Bagel and couple of other Congress leaders including Reani, Malikar, Jun K and the deputies DK Shivakumar and uh also Malik also uh Maloo Bharti and several other people.
This is Vir Satishan there giving a hug to Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi and Priaka Gandhi both have made it uh for this wedding and ceremony. Congress present in full form there. This is also the Congress's way of saying that Keralamm is extremely important for its affairs and for its national projection. This is a small state but it has also given good dividends to the first family. Remember in 2019 when Rahul Gandhi lost his election from Amit versus Ward seat in Keralum that retained that helped him retain his MP position. Vidi Satishan there meeting greeting opposition leaders as well including Rajiv Chandra Shakhar and Binoi Viswam off the left you have RSP member NK Premachandran also RSP is part of the government now.
In fact you'll also see one minister from RSP getting sworn in later.
We have Kajji joining us. case Mr. Saji first thoughts on Romesh Shanala as the home minister and also Mr. Konali Kouti being sworn in is the Muslim League going to be any different this time sir given that Muslim League has supported Vidi Satishan but it's also cautious that its support should not be weaponized isn't it?
>> Definitely as I rightly pointed out earlier the national situation is giving some compulsions to Indonesian Muslim and the situation 10 years ago is not the thing. There is must be some caution some kind of responsibility on the part of the Indian Muslim League. In the case of Punji he proven his college as an industry minister of Kerala because he was part of the FK ministry. He was part of the woman ministry and his experience and his capability that will definitely contribute to the performance of this government also.
Mr. S let's talk about this man taking oath there K Mlaran you know son of Karunakaran somebody who won from Vatiur Kawa he went to cover his constituency you know it seemed quite apparent and evident that he would be winning the seat although a lot of people said that you know he'll win from here and then next time he'll contest from some other place but he has played an important role this time isn't it as also a former PCC president somebody like Mr. K Murli how would you see him becoming a minister in Satishan's camp you know cabinet is he going to be is there a camp that Mr. Satishan has or is he largely seen as somebody who does not belong to any camp.
As you rightly pointed out is a real fighter and in the case of it in the recent years the most of the people showed a preference for the BJP and BJP considered it as a strong emerging place for them but only because of the personality and image and the convictions of who earlier represented cau he returned to Ka and he won the confidence of people and he's a proven fighter. the political history of as you said he's the son of chief minister Karunagar the most powerful congress chief minister of kerala and over the years there were Indian power struggles within the congress because of because mid was a faction leader he directly intervened he created many dramatic or ugly ts of political history in >> s in his own family we did see that split right because the sister padma went and joined the BJ BJP and Bati Kawo he was facing a difficult battle because the BJP had fielded former IPS officer Shrile Kha and then he also had someone like you know the mayor bro of you know was been a random mayor from the LDF. So it was not an easy battle for him but he is part of the cabinet now and also five ministers from Muslim League. The other uh you know allies also include Kerala Congress factions of Jacob and Joseph.
You also have the RSP joining but there are going to be 22 uh ministers Mr. Saji you know the BJP's constant dig is that the 22 MLAs legislators of the IUML are more powerful than the 63 legislators of the Congress party. Uh is that uh criticism is that dig even justified?
I am not agreeing with religion exception because fundamentally it is not a communal outfit. It is a minority community party. It has Hindu representatives in different bodies in many local majority district. It has clear harmony.
It never saw any kind of terrorist activities, any kind of riots or clashes between communities. So the Christians, Hindus and Muslims are living amicably in Malapuram and is playing a very good role as a good >> Absolutely. So there's a lot of caution that is also exercised. Ashin over to you. What is happening there? Tell us what is the mood like?
It's a jam-packed stadium and at least 50 to 60,000 people have come over here.
Even outside the stadium, it's completely uh you know it's jam-packed and you can as you can see just see around people though the swearing in ceremonies right now going on. Even now there are people who have uh who are stuck over there. Many of them not able to get inside. Many of them who are outside also trying it hard to be around. Many pe at least two three times. some some people fainted also they were also taken out. So this is the mood on the ground. In fact, it's a very jubilean mood because the Congress is coming back to power after a hiatus of 10 years and therefore uh it's an important phase for the Congress party to revive back in a state like Kerala where traditionally it has been a stronghold and IUML a partnership which has been with the Congress since 1977 has been a one of the most strongest partnership ever probably you can say in the history of South India because no two other parties have been together for so long and that is where I Despite so many offer that was given even by the CP >> one of the good things that happened Ashwin today is also the presence of Penai Vijan former chief minister of Kerala you also see Benoy Viswam of the CPI and also AM Sam of the LDF V to you over to you what's happening there what are your big takeaways the oath has been taken of the chief minister what do you think is going to happen next and in terms of the big takeaways from the oath taking in terms of its optics and politics what do you think Ver's phone is uh >> yes so essentially what uh >> uh Vasuda what I can just tell you is that that VD Satishan will now will have to move through these uh very strong leaders who have backings from uh the RSP the CMP all are supporters of Vidi Satishan. In the cabinet there are many people who are majority of the people has been uh supporters of Kes Venu Gopal and therefore this this decisions has to be done with consensus and that is what he he had also hinted while Vid Satishan was speaking uh when CM Vid Satish was speaking to us yesterday he said he feels sad that some of the people who really deserve to be in the cabinet he unfortunately could not take them but uh this is how the Congress High commanders that decision is final and therefore it's a very important uh uh important time v you know those pictures of of Casey Renu Gopal and Vid Satishan together on that stage if we can play those pictures I think that's going to be the defining picture of Kerala I mean whether it's going to be a picture that's going to define how two senior Congress leaders uh have decided to work together uh you know or is it going to be like the picture that we've seen in Karnataka of DK Shiv Kumar and Saddamea constantly propping coming up. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
As we've just pointed out, you've got no d of experience in the cabinet. You've got people like Muridar and you've got Romesh Chanala. You've got the weight of the Congress high command behind BD Satishan and he's obviously the face of this election as far as the UDF is concerned. So you know but extremely important and interesting times Ashwin to navigate. You were talking about the the challenges financially as far as the state is concerned in terms of fulfilling promises. Now after this oath ceremony I believe they will go to the governor's house. There will be a customary tea uh party that will be there. The new era officially begins as far as the congress is concerned in Keralam after 10 years. What this means to the state of Keralum, we will know in the coming
