But now you know, V.D. Satheesan, the new Kerala CM says there is it is not mandatory to sing Vande Mataram in assembly sessions. You know, there is no such order. It was just a direction from the central government and it can be followed and it is a choice of the state government whether to follow it or not. But the order of the central government clearly states that it is mandatory and and it is necessary that in all government programs including the assembly sessions of Vande Mataram has to be followed.
