Diplomatic dialogue serves as the primary mechanism for preventing escalation during international crises, as demonstrated by Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico's warning that the Romania drone incident should prompt renewed EU-Russia dialogue rather than inflammatory rhetoric, emphasizing that only diplomatic engagement can prevent broader conflicts.

FICO'S WARNING: Slovakia PM Fires Shot At EU Over Russia After Romania Drone Shock | Times Now WorldAdded:
Good Saturday evening, dear friends. So, they are going to recall Robert Kaliňák for building a huge hospital in Prešov, and the building inspector discovered poor work by the builders during its construction, which will delay us for a few weeks. This is an endlessly embarrassing opposition comedy.
Opposition kids who didn't push straw through straw, for which they handed us the worst public finances in the Union in 1923.
They also want to disrupt the exhibition of a modern hospital. All this in the spirit of the doctrine that the opposition is supposed to harm the government and Slovakia.
Robert Kaliňák, already as Minister of the Interior, built the extremely successful St. Michael's Hospital in Bratislava. He is behind an entire network of client centers.
As Minister of Defense, he has launched an unprecedented arms production, significantly helping the Slovak economy.
And since I consider the construction and reconstruction of hospitals to be a prime ministerial topic and I'm dedicated to it, I am convinced that the Prešov A hospital will be unique in terms of the speed of its construction.
Judge for yourself. The first concreting began in the spring of last year, and the building will be handed over in the fall of next year. The hospital may be in trial operation in the spring of 2028, i.e. 3 years after the first concrete was poured. So, what should be done to prevent success?
We need to prevent construction and dismiss the minister.
The opposition is actually capable of delaying the provision of quality health care in a modern hospital if it would help them politically. We are victims of such destructive and Slovakia harmful policies in other areas as well.
Matovič's nominee, the chairman of the Public Procurement Office, calmly oversees the antics of his office, which cannot be called anything other than an effort to prevent the construction of the last section of the highway near Ružomberok at all costs.
The worse, the better.
At the next coalition council, I will reopen the issue of merging the Public Procurement Office with the Anti-monopoly Office into one institution.
Anti-Slovak and anti-government media, seeing the powerlessness of the opposition, are filling the media space with vulgar activities of Matovič or Hlina.
Just so that there is no reason to deal with the real work of the government.
I admit that after this week, I am already a bit down because I have completed an extremely demanding program, both in Bratislava and in Eastern Slovakia.
You can't even imagine much of the government's work, considering how it is smothered or devalued by the media.
I only recall the attempt of the Aktuality portal to disparage my meeting with 150 students of the University of Economics in Košice.
It was an extremely stimulating meeting based on voluntary participation.
I'm giving the Slovak and anti-government media a pat on the back when they see a whole long series of meetings with students.
Meetings that are decent and where different opinions are respected.
This simply doesn't play into their hands.
They need aggression, violent behavior, rudeness, attacks on the government.
According to the current students, they had to attend the meeting, otherwise they would have a problem with some exam.
It was nonsense like water in a wicker basket because there was no attendance list at our meeting and no one could verify who was or was not at at lecture.
I usually ask this question quite normally. From whom else but the Prime Minister can students get a detailed description and analysis of the most serious European agent?
Portal Aktuality probably wanted to use this lie to balance the correction it had to publish after I sent lawyers to them. Namely, they accused me of committing a crime against my country on purpose and of wanting to throw Slovakia over to Russia and Hungary.
You may be scratching your head now wondering what nonsense this is.
Well, such false accusations are routinely published and the media expect us not to react given our extremely low sensitivity level. Under pressure from lawyers, Aktuality had to publish a correction that all these false accusations are false.
Dear friends, in addition to Robert Kaliňák, the opposition and their media are also focusing on our Tibor Gašpar for being accused in a fabricated case of embezzlement, which is not supposed to involve corruption or any other economic crime.
All kinds of public opinion polls are being fabricated against Tibor. They want to break him and provoke him as Matovič tried to do.
They are incredibly irritated that Tibor still keeps a cool head and is patient even though he doesn't have to.
Can you imagine that he was illegally detained for more than a year? That they treated him badly? That they didn't deliver his family's mail for Christmas, but instead delivered him a provocative letter from another defendant to throw a bow?
They transported him all over Slovakia with a balaclava on his head and headphones in his ears, tied up like cattle to break him. The presumption of innocence applies to her all the more.
It is strange that a person who is still innocent, who is clearly being prosecuted illegally, who has been in custody for a year, who was mistreated by the police with the consent of the prosecutors, is to resign from the position of deputy chairman of the National Council.
But such a Lipsic, who was sentenced to death for killing a pedestrian at a crossing, was appointed a special prosecutor by the Gaspar executioners.
This is already unfortunate.
Let's remember how the story of Dusan Kovacevic, the former special prosecutor, ended. This story was supposed to be an ace in the hands of the anti-government media and the opposition. The original sentence of long-term imprisonment was overturned as unlawful. The case was returned to the specialized criminal court for a new decision. However, 3 days ago, this court dismissed the indictment and returned the entire case back to the investigators.
And today, we are no longer discussing Dusan Kovacevic, because it is obvious that the entire case against him was fabricated and the trial was manipulated. But above all, we are discussing the judge of the specialized criminal court, Pamela Zalescova, the partner of the journalist from the daily newspaper N Todova, because there are serious suspicions that she grossly violated the law when deciding about Dusan Kovacevic.
And I personally signed the criminal complaint against judge Zalescova.
And I reject the attempt to label my legitimate actions as intimidation of judges.
How do judges have the right to break the law, illegally send people to prison for 14 years, and at the same time enjoy immunity from any responsibility for their hyenaism? On the contrary, we also have other adepts with the advice of judges to file criminal charges and initiatives to initiate disciplinary proceedings against them. Dear friends, there is no doubt that the entire current media and opposition circus serves not only the strategy of the worse, the better, but that it is, I repeat, primarily an attempt to cover up the scandal on the scandal of the Šimečka family with the theft of public resources and their misuse for private purposes.
And the media is still covering up the 150,000 euro execution against Michal Šimečka's family, which was initiated directly by the European Commission and which at the end of the day may jeopardize European funds for Slovakia.
I cannot believe that someone can distance themselves from their own mother like this.
Purely for political gain.
You need a strong stomach for this. And this also applies to Šimečka the elder who, as if nothing had happened, travels around Slovak pubs and cultural centers as a traveling entertainer, defending progressive Slovakia and his son, and rambling on about how to save Slovak democracy.
I wonder about the Gen newspaper that it allows Šimečka the elder to discredit itself like this.
I wonder about Šimečka the elder that he does not sell his share in the N newspaper if he really has it and does not pay off his wife with debt to protect her.
Dear friends, I've been consistently focusing on domestic issues all week. We had a successful government meeting. I spoke at several forums.
The coalition council was held. I believe that I contributed to resolving the withdrawal of the Slovak National Party, where the nominee is the Minister of the Environment and Tomáš Taraba.
I appreciate the perspective on fundamental issues that we demonstrated at the meeting with the President and the Speaker of Parliament. At the inauguration of the government in Haniska pri Košiciach, I was very pleased by the speech of a representative of the Volvo car company, which is preparing to start producing electric cars in the near future. He had to go to the hospital in Košice with acute health problems, and right at the inauguration of the government, as a foreigner, he praised the Slovak health care system. That is exactly what I am saying.
Not everything is perfect here, but we cannot accept the media and opposition image that we are a black hole where nothing works.
Despite the negative image, it is true that we provide a wide range of health care services for all residents. Such a wide range that is unimaginable in other EU countries. Yesterday, I gave a definitive instruction for the legislative processing of measures to improve the business environment and pro-growth measures, which have not yet been added to the state budget. We will discuss this legislation on Wednesday in the government, where three parties will meet to discuss it beforehand.
On Friday, I have to travel to the EU enlargement summit, and on Saturday, as I have announced several times in Normandy, I will commemorate the opening of the second front in 1944.
In this context, I would like to thank the mayor of Michalovce, Mr. Dufinec, for his cooperation in the restoration of the central military belt of the Red Army in his city.
Dear friends, we also consider the protection of our constitution to be a domestic issue. I cannot accept that there are efforts in Slovakia to ignore the content of the latest amendments to the constitution, where we needed the cooperation of government and opposition deputies. I consider it a great success that we have included in the Slovak Constitution the definition of marriage as a unique union of a man and a woman, the existence of only two sexes, man and woman, >> [clears throat] >> and the superiority of Slovak law over international law in matters of national identity. And I am proud that the driving force behind these changes was the Slovak Social Democracy direction.
It is a confirmation that we are not Brussels Social Democracy, that we are Slovak Social Democracy, and that we are fully aware of the historical sources and roots on which we stand as Slovaks.
You know very well that the European Commission hates sovereign positions and bravely berates us for these innovative initiatives or barriers against progressivism, as I called them on Devín.
And adding fuel to the fire are Slovak homosexual couples living abroad and requesting recognition of their marriage by registering it in the Slovak Registry Office, knowing that Slovak law does not recognize same-sex marriage. Under normal circumstances, nothing would need to be done because the definition of marriage in the Constitution is completely clear and obvious. But we do not live in normal times. Therefore, in order to protect the constitutional regulation of marriage, it will be necessary, probably in an extremely short time, to adopt a legal regulation preventing any adventures and attempts to recognize in Slovakia a marriage that cannot be recognized as a marriage according to the Constitution. It has nothing to do with practical life. We respect sexual minorities. No one bothers them.
But our duty is above all to respect and protect the Constitution of the Slovak Republic.
I don't know if we will manage it in time, but it would be beneficial if we could fulfill the task of protecting the constitution of the Slovak Republic in its definition of marriage by the national holiday of the Slovak Republic and the method.
We will commemorate this holiday with dignity again on July 5th in Devín.
Finally, a drone flew over Romania.
I hope you all remember my warnings about what a drone that has strayed intentionally or unintentionally can cause.
It is World War III, I warn. I warn against strong statements, strong talk about a war between the Union and Russia. Such talk can only be made by totally irresponsible people who think that war is some kind of computer game.
On the contrary, this incident, about which we know nothing at all, should lead to an enormous effort to open a dialogue between the EU and the RF.
That only dialogue can prevent a total disaster.
Please, let's realize the value of a peaceful life.
Tomorrow, we will enjoy a peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable Sunday with families, with friends, and that we will not have to run to shelters from which there is often no return.
I wish you a beautiful, peaceful Sunday, dear friends.
And let's start thinking together how government officials who flatter Brussels would behave in these times of crisis. And those who are today the mortal enemies of Russia or China. You know very well what I am talking about.
Peace above all.
