[00:01:07]In the letter released on Monday Mafa accused Chiwenga of being the central force being behind ongoing constitutional maneuvers allegedly aimed at extending President Emmerson Mnangagwa's rule beyond 2028. The time for subtlety is over. Mafa wrote.

[00:01:32]Mafa added that Chiwenga's continued presence in government has fueled fears of a military backed succession struggle within ZANU-PF creating justification for what critics have termed the Cup 3 constitutional amendment efforts.

[00:01:47]According to the letter Chiwenga allegedly declined to assume the presidency during the 2017 military intervention due Due pressure from regional leaders opting instead to become vice president with expectations of eventually succeeding Mnangagwa. Mafa claimed the political landscape has since shifted.

Meanwhile, the Mthwakazi Liberation Front has joined other opposition voices condemning the ZANU-PF initiated constitutional amendment number three bill, describing it as a poison that will worsen the country's already fragile state.

[00:03:42]MLF spokesperson, Crispin Iyani, criticized the proposed amendment saying it seeks to extend President Mnangagwa's stay in power without a fresh mandate from the people. It accused Zanu-PF officials being the bill of manipulating constitutional processes for political survival and personal gain. [00:08:14]And they were trying as hard as possible after setting up a journalist office in Mozambique to disseminate information about the war that was true because they knew the narrative that is going to come from Ian Smith's government is not going to be favorable for them.
