[00:00:06]So, here in this video, we are going to discuss the gunshot important questions of the subject English of semester two.

[00:00:15]If you are pursuing BSc, BBA, BCom, BA, BSW, any stream under Osmania University, this video will be helpful for you to understand the important questions of the English subject. So, basically, English is a general subject for all the groups under Osmania University, ma. So, as your syllabus has been changed from academic year 2025 to 2026, here in this video, what to study, how to study, everything detailedly I will explain, ma. So, don't skip the video and watch till the end. Along with me, you also make sure you write the whatever the things I'm saying, whatever the lessons you are having, what you need to learn, everything I will explain in a detailed way. Just listen the video and let me know your opinion compulsory in the comment section so that I'll try to continue the further explanation videos of this subject, okay? So, English syllabus, coming back to the syllabus, as your syllabus has been changing from 2026 onwards. So, basically, total five units you are having, ma. So, first you are having this unit. So, unit number one, poetry, prose, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation, LSRW, writing, and skills. So, this part will be common for everything, okay? For each unit, this part is common. So, what is the prose you are having, what is the poetry you are having? Means, poetry you are having The Highwayman, prose you are having The Blue Light, okay? These two lessons you are having.

[00:01:52]These two lessons, out of these two lessons, prepare any one lesson for part B.

[00:01:59]Not for part A, okay? Prose and poetry only useful for part B. Remaining grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, whatever you are having like this, this all will be useful for part A, okay? So, out of these two units, two lessons, both are easy only. The Highwayman is easy, Blue Light is easy. Whatever you feel easy, whatever you feel easy to learn, prepare that only. If you feel The Highwayman is easy, go with Highwayman. If you feel The Blue Light lesson is easy, go with The Blue Light lesson only, okay? Anyway, I will upload the explanation videos, okay? Next, unit number seven, my unit number two, actually, okay? So, unit number two, poetry you are having Mending Wall, prose you are having How It Feels to Be Colored Me. Out of these two lessons also, both are easy lessons, okay?

[00:02:48]Remaining part, grammar, vocabulary, whatever you are having, this all comes for part A. Okay, out of these two prose and poetry, prepare any one, okay? How It Feels to Be Colored Me is little bit easy according to my advice, okay? So, if you feel Mending Wall is easy, you can go with that. Any one lesson is more than enough, that too summary, okay? And coming back to the third unit, third unit you are having Praise Song for My Mother and second one Swan Song, okay?

[00:03:18]Both are easy. My advice is Praise Song for My Mother is most easiest compared to the Swan Song, okay? If you feel Swan Song is easy, means you can go with that, okay? If you are preparing one, means you can completely skip one part, okay? Next, unit number four you are having Your Old Father William and The Romance of a Busy Broker. Out of these two lessons also, prepare one lesson, whichever you feel comfortable and easy, okay? Remaining part, grammar, vocabulary, prepositions, abbreviations, these are all will come for part A.

[00:03:53]Okay. Unit number five, last unit, A World Made by Atoms is one of the first thing. And second one, Letter to Lord Chesterfield. Okay?

[00:04:03]So, part B though, this is how you need to learn. See my part B consists of 60 marks, no? To score this 60 marks, you need to learn only five summaries. Okay?

[00:04:15]Means each unit you need to learn one summary. See here, in each unit you are having prose, poetry, grammar, vocabulary. This poetry and prose only will come in part B. This grammar, vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation, LSRW writing skills will come for part A. Okay? So, one thing you remember, as you all having some knowledge because you people already wrote semester one, no? English is not something like a subject, okay? Means it is like a part of the subject where you are increasing your skills. So, here in this subject we will not able to tell that this question will come for part B.

[00:04:57]It is not like that. It is like a general common topics you need to learn.

[00:05:01]Okay? So, see here, duration will be 3 hours, as you all know. 80 marks paper, 32 is the passing marks, okay? So, in part A they will ask first question to eighth question. Means eight questions they will give. Out of these eight questions you need to attempt only five questions. Each question carries four marks. So, 5 into 4 is 20 marks. So, part A consisting of 20 marks. That to pure grammar only. Okay? Now, come back to the part B. Okay, this is not part A.

[00:05:34]This is part B. So, part B from ninth question to 13th question it will be there, ma. In each question you will have the internal choice. And each question carries 12 marks. Okay? So, that is poetry and prose anyone you learn from each unit, you know, that you need to write it over here. Okay? So, see here. This is the question paper design as officially Department of English under Osmania University has officially released for semester two and semester one, also. So, that is what just now we have discussed. You can see here.

[00:06:05]Part A, first, second, third, fourth. 1 2 3 4 bits will come from grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and pronunciation.

[00:06:13]5 6 7 8 will come from LSRW writing skills. Okay? Done? So, I will do a separate long video for grammar part A.

[00:06:23]If you could watch that video, either it is 1 hour or 2 hours of the video, if you could watch that video, also, complete 20 marks you can able to score.

[00:06:32]Even if you are not having materials, even if you are not having PDFs, also.

[00:06:37]Okay? So, definitely I will do uh the easiest explanation of the grammar. Only exercises uh questions only they will give in the question paper, okay? Not out of syllabus. Now, come back to the part B. Ninth question A will come from The Highwayman. B will come from The Blue Light. If you are preparing The Blue Light means you need to attempt ninth B.

[00:06:58]Same like 10th A, 10th B, 11th A, 11th B, 12th A, 12th B, 13th A, 13th B. Like that you will having according to whatever the lesson you preferring to learn. According to that you need to answer the questions, okay? Part A, prepare only exercise grammar whatever the you are having in the materials. If you are not having materials, I will send you the PDF, English grammar PDF, or English summaries PDF of materials in our Telegram group for free of cost, okay? So, whatever the exercises questions you are having, try to prepare that exercises question. Now, come back to the part B. Part B purely summaries only you need to attempt, ma. Any question they might be asking, you need to write the summaries. When you're writing the summaries, you need to uh understand the summary format also. Like how you are presenting your answers is also very important, okay? For 12 marks, three sides of the page must and should, okay? Three sides is nothing about front is first side. Like this, if your booklet is there means, this is one side, this is second side, and another page one side is third side. Like that, three sides, not three pages. If you could elaborate more means, you can.

[00:08:13]Okay? And this is all about the video, ma. 3 hours, you will have so much time to attempt part A, part B, extra also you can attempt it in the English exam, okay? Some of the students will walk out from the exams after 1 and 1/2 hour or 2 hours. Don't do like that. Even if you completed your answers, but you are having still time, try to write the extra.
