Added:[clears throat] >> Good morning. Good morning. Good morning, my family, friends, my gems, and my jewels. Let's make sure this is on.
Okay. Good morning.
Y'all, [clears throat] it's Friday. Hey, it's Friday. Hey, it's Friday, Friday, Friday, Friday, Friday.
Hey, it's Friday.
It's Friday. Hey, it's Friday, Friday, Friday, Friday, fun day. Hey, hey, hey.
Yes, honey.
>> [snorts] >> It is Friday.
>> [laughter] >> All my great people.
And it is time to go to work.
And I'm going to be late.
And I don't care.
Just don't care.
Oh, hello, Jada.
What's up, girl? Guess what?
>> [laughter] >> It's Friday. Hey, it's Friday.
Hey, it's Friday, Friday, Friday, Friday, Friday. Hey, hey, hey, hey.
>> [laughter] >> Yes. Oh my god.
I'm so glad it's Friday.
>> [snorts] >> Look what I just went and bought.
Went to Walmart, got some strawberries.
They're going to do a ice cream social with the bigger kids tomorrow today.
So, they only have a they only do like stuff for the >> [snorts] >> the older kids, but sometimes they do they include us.
But they said if we have uh she got enough ice cream, but they don't have enough toppings for the our little people.
Look.
I said, "Say less, sis."
Say less.
So, all I need I'm not put I thought about it, right?
I thought about it. I went into Walmart knowing I was going to it was going to it might put me late.
I'm like, "Let me just go get some crushed cookies or something, you know, little crushed cookies to put on."
So, they could put on their ice cream or some chocolate. I had some zero sugar drizzle chocolate at home. I didn't bring it. I forgot.
As I was walking around Walmart, I was pondering.
I was like, "These kids ain't going to appreciate that stuff on their ice cream if they even eat the ice cream?"
>> [laughter] A half of them going to be like, "Ooh, it's too cold."
At least two of them I already know.
The ice cream is going to be too cold.
They might take a couple sips and that's it.
>> [snorts] >> So, honey, I made a conscious decision.
For one, let's try to get from behind this truck cuz I ain't got time for that. I'm already late.
Go I'm running behind. Let's put it like that.
I made a conscious decision that we not getting ready get them kids none of that stuff. We going cut up some We going to cut up some strawberries.
Grab two two or three bananas, all depends on how many kids we have, from upstairs.
And I'm going to let them chop them up.
I'm going to let them have fun chopping up their own fruit.
And then I'm going to tell I'm going to tell Tamika just let me know ahead of time before you come downstairs.
Before you come So, that way it'll be a project for them. Get used They have some little plastic plastic knives.
>> [snorts] >> They can cut their own stuff up. Just let them sit there. If If they eat it, they eat it. It don't matter. It's theirs.
And then she come in with ice cream in little bowls. They only going to get like little a little bit.
And they can put it on their ice cream or they don't have to.
I was like, I will not add any extra sugar to my already hyper ADHD ADHD kids in my classroom. Yeah, it ain't going to happen.
And [snorts] my autistic kids, they don't need no extra Why is this person It is not school time.
You do not have to drive it down 25 miles an hour, ma'am or sir.
But anyway, I digress.
Yeah.
>> [laughter] >> So, yeah, we not going to redo that. We I get it.
Them kids going to get some fruit. And I need some fruit, too. I don't They gave me some bana- The girl chatter Who is that? Came in.
Hello.
I got to read like Let me see if I can So So more Samora?
Good morning. Morning.
Hello. Like the bananas. Yeah, like a banana split. That's all they need.
>> [snorts] >> That's all I need, too. I don't need no chocolate. My eyes is is starting to clear up. They was They was a little foggy for a while. That's because I knew my sugar was probably up. That happens when my sugar is up.
And I I can tell. It's like, why everything looking a little blurry?
But But yeah, it's it's they clearing up cuz I stopped I got up I stopped eating that sugar.
So, but what I was about to say, they came around last night at the ninth hour when it was almost time to go home during snack time and offered me, the teachers ice cream.
Did I decline? Heck no. Give me some ice cream. Give me two cherries. Put some M&M's on top.
And put some of that hard chocolate.
That chocolate over there that had to make it hard.
Honey, and my stomach been paying for it ever since.
They've been paying for it ever since.
I'm I'm about to I'm about to go in here and thank them.
>> [laughter] >> I'm about to go in here and thank them for their ice cream.
>> [laughter] >> I've been taking Lactaid pills for ever since I got home yesterday.
And for whatever reason, I still still a little gassy.
>> [laughter] >> working.
>> [snorts] >> Yes, mine does that, too.
I can be I see Yeah, oh yeah, your eyes.
Mhm.
It They feel like, you know, it'd be like a little blurry, like >> [snorts] >> it's like not all the way clear.
And I was like, "Oh, that's the sugar."
And I got to go see my doctor at the end of the month.
She'll be like, I don't think I got to get a I don't think I got to get a blood test cuz I had one this year already. So, she's not going to do a 3-month blood test, I don't think.
They just prick my finger every time I go in.
>> [sighs] >> I'm I take the medicine, you know what I'm saying, but but you can still it's still just because you take the medicine, that don't mean that you can eat a lot of sugar. So, it was a it was a short period where I was eating a lot of candy.
I was eating a lot of pasta. That stuff that turns into sugar.
And I wasn't eating as many vegetables coming into this doggone daycare cuz they feed them kids that stuff for lunch.
So.
Give me a Red Bull.
I ain't getting I'm not stopping to get nobody no Red nothing.
That stuff bad for your heart.
Anyway.
It was a message on on my thing.
Yeah.
So I um forgot what I was saying.
>> [laughter] [gasps] >> Oh, that was crazy.
I was like, yeah, so I forgot what I was saying. But anyway, today is going to be a good day. Um you know why? Cuz I'm taking them kids outside. Yesterday they did not go outside.
We was doing our Father's Day gift.
Our Father's Day things where we made clay.
I love >> [clears throat and cough] >> This was the first time I did this. Out of flour, salt, and water.
And we made clay.
And they um they put their handprint in it.
And um then we had to bake it. They had to uh our cook baked it in the baking pan for 3 hours on on a 20-minute 20-minute um not 20-minute 200° temperature for 3 hours. I was like, damn.
And we baked baked the hell out of >> [cough and clears throat] >> And and then when it came when it came out, >> [snorts] >> I took it was blue. I I added blue food coloring in in the um in the flour as it when I was mix mixing it.
>> [snorts] >> And the kids helped mix it and stuff like that.
And um so it it came out blue. It came out a couple shades of blue, you know. It was pretty though.
And so, what I did was when it got done, when it when we brought it up and they names is at the bottom. I put they name at the bottom on there with a black marker before it went into the oven, so it stayed. It was that was good.
It didn't expand either. It just got hard.
And I took yellow green paint and I painted the finger part, the imprint of the finger parts. And that was so cute. And then, um, Leah wrote something on the back, a message to the fathers. And then she put a red heart in the middle of the palm. See, I can't do that kind of stuff because it'd be all different colors all different kind of sizes.
So, I left that to her.
I usually leave that to Brenda.
So, it was so cute. It was cute. And then she also made a card.
She made a card for them. And, um, so, that's they Father's Day gift. That is so nice.
I should have got some chocolate in some little bags and put them a few pieces of chocolate in the bag and gave it to them, but I didn't have to spend a cent on the Father's Day gifts.
>> [laughter] >> Cuz, honey, let me tell you, I was getting ready to go buy them buy go to the Dollar Tree and go buy mugs for a $1.75. I was like, "Girl, ain't nothing a dollar no more. It ain't even a $1.25 no more. It's like a $1.75 in the Dollar General. I mean, um, not Dollar General, but Dollar Tree. I'm like, "Well, when is y'all going to change y'all name?" That's what I want to know.
When are y'all going to change y'all name? Because ain't nothing in that doggone store a dollar no more.
>> [laughter] >> I'm trying to make sure I'm straight.
This Why are you parking over here?
Y'all parents parking is over there.
I'm about to park in water. Dang it.
Oh well, [sighs and gasps] we in here.
I never use my back camera.
We here.
>> [sighs] >> We are here.

I'm at work against my better judgment.
>> [snorts] >> It is June 10th, people.
Next year I will not be working on this day. Absolutely [snorts] not.
