Nosey Progress Report No. 38
Added:Hello everybody. Welcome to progress report number 38.
I've been working on building out Nosy's face off of the head frame. Uh this has entailed the creation of two eye sockets and associated supports as well as the armature and supports for eyelids. So this has all been installed. The eyelids are functional and pitchable. will be connected to hydraulic pressure shortly once that's all implemented throughout the frame.
Nosy's eyes are also currently in development. They are right now made of 2-in in diameter uh solid nylon precision bearings. So, those will be um the bases for Nosy's cosmetic visible eyes where the thermals will be installed on the upper pallet right around the cheek area.
But the main cosmetic eyes will fit securely into the designated sockets and be protected and expressive via the eyelids. The ocular support has been finalized. The extensions coming down, the more detaily bits, they've also been welded on. With that said, further supports and details to the front of the face will be added um throughout these next few reports. Nosy's upper pallet has also been improved upon and further stabilized as it will be the base structure for most of Nosy's um electrical components in its head, including the eye um and ocular systems will be mounted in part on top of Nosy's upper pallet. So, on this nice shelf inside of Nosy's face, Nosy's head is relatively lightweight um compared to other parts of its body. So, Nosy is more stable, and the head is more maneuverable and um lightweight, mobile.
That's what we're going for. I've been referencing my drawings throughout this entire process. So, the design and I guess schematics that I'm going off of are my own reference uh art. The supporting bracket between the two ladder sections and the middle of the face has also been added and bolted into into place, adding additional structural integrity. And here is what Nosy's head may look like from the top down. A perspective not many will ever see.
>> The ears and mouth are also entering uh creation. They have been um on the back burner for a little bit until I would be able to complete the face a little bit more than I had been. But now that we are in that uh spot, I have welded on the joints for the ears to be and mouth to be. They are 516s in uh width um and will be the rotating uh adjustable joints for the mouth and ear arms. The ears will be approximately uh 1 ft each in each segment. So there'll be two segments of ear um on either side of Nosy's head and each one will be 1 foot in length, 2 feet in total. Right?
So once that's done, the head will be larger than it is now and the ears will be more of a pro a prominent characteristic of the nosy rabbit character. Um the feature should be visible and it should be very clear what this is. So once that's done, you'll know I will be reporting on it uh shortly and hopefully installing a um temporary uh proportion comparison onto the nosy uh body frame just to see the head relative to where it will be um when it is attached with the completed chest, bust, and supporting arm for the neck. All of that will be shown to you once it's made. The mouth will be supported via uh pneumatic pressure underneath pushing forward outwards of the face supporting a jaw in a completely um level position. This jaw can be manipulated out of that level position only to be forced back into it via the pneumatic pressure when activated. That is how Nosy's mouth functionality will generally work. I don't want to go into too many specifics about the functionality and more um practical elements of Nosy. I don't think those need to be circulating um on the internet. What I am able to talk about I will be talking about. As of documenting this, all of Nosy's face is made of So, I am able to successfully run a complete um electrical charge through Nosy's head via device um in any position to uh weld and add on to it.
So, the charge is able to ground um all of Dosey's head at once, which creates a more um convenient and fast-paced building environment where I'm not needing to ground separate parts of the face at a time in order to slowly make progress on different sections. I'm able to tackle the full build at once, which is allowing me to really um be able to execute my full vision on the face and on what Nosy's head will eventually come to look like. Um I cannot emphasize enough how optimistic I am about how this will eventually come together.
Okay, with that said, I would like to wish everybody a good rest of their day.
Um, a good evening if that is uh what time of day it is for you already and a potential or eventual happy sleep and good night. So hopefully the rest of your day is good and I will see you all uh very very soon. Bye-bye.
