[00:01:24]You know, people that's what's happening at the moment is to give people a little bit of hope.

[00:01:28]>> I will stick to the manifesto. I will be bold and I will uh be uh true uh to what it says but there are big changes uh that I can implement coming from that manifesto. It is about a new political model. It is about a new economic model for the country. Uh if somebody can command the majority of the MPs in the House of Commons, obviously uh they then have the legitimacy to lead things forward and I will lead forward consistent with the manifesto uh which also talked about change.

[00:02:01]And I now want to work on the platform that Keir Starmer has left to deliver that change. A massive change in our politics. That's what number 10 North is about, taking the power out of Westminster and Whitehall into every postcode in the land. And from there building a new economy. Self included, my generation of politicians hasn't been good enough.

[00:02:26]Things have been in flux for a long time now. We all have to be better. And that's my message. We have to change the way we do politics, turn the country around. You know, nobody can be happy with the fact that we're seeing all of this turbulence. And I'm conscious that I'm the sixth person to walk up Downing Street in the last decade. That isn't good enough. We need to be better. We will be better. Those will be my first calls.

[00:02:54]And I'll be making very clear later today to President Zelenskyy that, you know, there is no change. I will be with him 100% as Keir Starmer has been. And Keir has done really quite an incredible job in not just backing Ukraine, but being there in a personal way. And I will be absolutely there for him in the same way. I've worked with President Zelenskyy will be left in no doubt whatsoever that Britain's support is steadfast. It is resolute. It will be there for him.

[00:03:29]And I will be there for him personally, too. People will see I am clear about what I want to do. I know what I think the country needs. I am ready to lead.

[00:03:40]And I'm ready to make a difference.

[00:03:43]>> Well, it's obviously a big thing, isn't it, to to step up in this in this way.

[00:03:49]But I think you I've got to have a degree of of that if you weren't you wouldn't be you wouldn't be human.

[00:03:58]But, you know, I've been in politics a long time. I do bring a lot of experience to this particularly from the ground up as mayor of Greater Manchester. I think that will make a difference in the way that I go about this role. So, of course the nerves are there, but you know, I'm also confident in what I'm doing in what I'm about and as I say I'm ready.

[00:04:24]>> Prime Minister Starmer, you come to Ukraine with a message that while you are departing office the UK's past eye is support for Ukraine will endure. But, how can you be sure? And if I may President Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Starmer and President Macron have been two of Ukraine's greatest allies. Prime Minister Starmer leaves office next week. President Macron leaves office next year. How worried are you for Ukraine about their departures? And what is your message to Prime Minister Starmer's successor back in the UK?

[00:05:07]Let me start because I say very clearly the UK's support for Ukraine will not waiver.

[00:05:15]And I say that with real confidence because it has not waivered since the outbreak of this conflict.

[00:05:23]There has been cross-party unity on this. There's been unity within parties.

[00:05:28]And there is a resolve of the British people.

[00:05:32]It is really significant that now in the fifth year of this conflict the Ukrainian flag still flies above Downing Street. It still flies across churches and town halls across the country and individual gardens because the British people understand what is being called for here.

[00:05:51]Our freedom and democracy, values that we will never take for granted. And therefore, we know that this fight is our fight.

[00:05:59]We know that this fight already has impacted on the United Kingdom both economically with the cost of living, but also through state-backed action that's been taken on our streets and in our communities to attack our people.

[00:06:13]And that's why there's such huge resolve. Um that is resolve within the Labour Party, within the Labour government, never wavering, but is resolved across the House of Commons. And in my last appearance in the House of Commons yesterday, that resolve was on show as all parties united to say once again that we will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes. So, I'm very confident in saying the resolve and the support of the United Kingdom for Ukraine will not waver. We will stand with you, brave Ukrainian people, for as long as it takes and long after.

[00:06:56]>> Thank you so much. So, first of all, of course of course um during the war, we built strong relations, personal.

[00:07:07]And it is very important when we have such personal strong relations. In the past, you know our characters, our people. Sometimes we say on chemistry.

[00:07:17]Yeah, and of course personal war in the in basis on on the attitude of nations to each other.

[00:07:27]You know, everything is about people.

[00:07:30]The people respect, love. People want to hate or to kick. It is all about it.

[00:07:38]So, we live now with the friends in UK, like strong friends, not even like we are strong, very strong friends and partners.

[00:07:52]And of course, our relations, personal relations are strong like between friends and partners between me, here, Emmanuel Macron, and that's why this the circle of people and with others we build we always and with some others uh leaders in Europe and in the world.

[00:08:15]And because of such relations we build such if I can use uh new diplomatic relations. Yes, when we can call each other, when we write, when we don't need too much people to organize the meeting or I mean with all respect to all our teams.

[00:08:37]We really need you very much for the work of France. We really need we we count on your support. And uh but but in any way we I mean more more free in our relations. It gives a lot of faith that anytime you can call and help. And if I know between us if I know that tomorrow I mean it's not about tomorrow the day yes I mean Yeah. That we will have some problems with some things and we need for some operations, some strong shadows or something like this. Yeah, so I can call but wait for brunch time. Again, with all respect to brunch time because it's important platform where there are 50 countries. I mean this is great idea for brunch time. So we have such relation.

[00:09:26]And when you ask what about us? Of course I'm a friend.

[00:09:31]Changes, of course we are afraid because we we we are in the world each day. But again, the priority is the relation between nations, between trust people.

[00:09:43]And I'm sure that these relations will not change. Or, we have to do our best not to lose such very good relations.

[00:09:57]That's why and that's why Kalis on the winning, which was which was organized under the leadership under the leadership of UK and France. And then Germany yes became closer. Again, and during pre-war it came closer. It's all again about that relations, about about people, too.

[00:10:23]I hope that we will not lose, never lose strong relations with the United Kingdom during and after the war.
