"NJ CAUGHT Registering ILLEGAL Voters - NJ BLASTED for FILLING Rolls with Illegal Voters

[00:00:13]Now, y'all, yesterday in New Jersey, a bombshell report came out that the state had registered over 6,000 people who do not have the right to vote in the United States. They nevertheless registered them to vote, y'all. Now, this is causing waves. This is causing people across the country to say, "Well, how do we know that the number is only 6,000?"

[00:00:40]That that's just the number of people who who were found in this one investigation. What if there are far more people just in New Jersey?

[00:00:49]And, of course, New Jersey is just one of the 50 states in the United States of America. How do we know that there aren't hundreds of thousands or even millions of people who should not be registered to vote, who are nevertheless registered? And, of course, this goes along with what many, many people have thought and believed ever since 2020 in particular, that the United States voting system may need an overhaul, may need some legislative protections to save it from this type of situation happening. So, we're going to take a look at this New Jersey situation and also show you a similar situation that was uncovered recently in Illinois, y'all. So, we're going to get into all of this in a tight, quick video. Without further ado, y'all, let's go ahead and get into it.

[00:01:38]>> This breaking just a moment ago, New Jersey's Democratic Governor Mickey Sherrill says that some 6,000 non-US citizens were actually registered to vote in the state's motor vehicle system. Eric Shawn has some breaking details right here in the New York newsroom for us. Eric, what can you tell us?

[00:01:55]>> Yeah, Jillian, it turns out that thousands of non-citizens were added to New Jersey's voter rolls, and some even voted because of a computer glitch. But, now the state says it's trying to clean that up. New Jersey's Governor, Mikey Sherrill, says that a software error in the state's motor vehicle system led to about 6,600 people who are not citizens being registered as Garden State voters when they applied for a driver's license. She says even though the applicants answered no on the license and also state ID card application forms, well, the computer registered yes as citizens. She says it all happened under the previous administration of Democratic Governor Phil Murphy, and she's ordered the illegal voters be removed from the rolls.

[00:02:41]>> Now, the new governor of New Jersey, Mikey Sherrill, is saying that, "Hey, this is not my fault. I didn't do this.

[00:02:48]This all happened under my predecessor."

[00:02:51]And that may very well be true, y'all.

[00:02:53]But, nevertheless, it did happen, didn't it?

[00:02:57]>> that the vendor released software with such a glaring error. It's unacceptable that the MVC took a year to get this issue fixed, and it's unacceptable that no one in the previous administration brought this to light, demanded accountability, or took action when it happened years ago.

[00:03:16]>> Well, the investigation says it found less than 400 of those who were improperly registered actually did vote.

[00:03:22]And of those 400 they're registered in all the parties, they were Democrats, Republicans, and unaffiliated voters.

[00:03:29]They're registered over a 1-year period from June 2023 to 24, and elections held during that time, well, they included the state legislature, municipal contests, school board elections in 2023, as well as in 2024, the US Senate, congressional races, and the presidential election, which Kamala Harris won by more than a quarter of a million votes. And Sherrill herself was elected as governor last year, and she won by nearly half a million votes.

[00:03:58]>> It's weird, Eric, cuz I never heard of anything going wrong at the DMV before. Thanks.

[00:04:03][laughter] >> So, now commentators are coming out trying to explain how this situation happened. And also, how how might this not happen again? Now, remember, y'all, this is just one system in New Jersey by which people may become registered to vote. And New Jersey is just one of 50 states. I would have I would imagine that their share of the population of the United States is probably 2%? 3%?

[00:04:32]Maybe, max. So, you're talking about one state, one system in a whole big country that has over 300 million people.

[00:04:42]>> It looks like what happened here was a vendor who works for the New Jersey Motor Vehicles Agency created a technical glitch where the the person engaging with the Motor Vehicles Agency was completely honest and told them of their status. Of course, it's legal to get a license if you're a resident non-citizen in the United States. And that that technical glitch did not remove that person from the voter registration workflow where they might have been sent to to be registered to vote. And the total number of people that this occurred for during a one-year period was 6,600. That is that is about 0.1% of the total voter registration in New Jersey. And then less than 10% of those people actually voted, which is not surprising.

[00:05:28]They probably didn't even know they were registered in many cases. And that 400 people who might have voted illegally represented 0.009% of the people in New Jersey who voted in 2024, for instance. And just to put this in perspective, Kamala Harris defeated Donald Trump in New Jersey in 2024 by over 250,000 votes. So, I think Governor Sheryl is being transparent about this, has done the best she can to to determine exactly what happened.

[00:05:55]She's put the vendor in review, they're fixing the problem, but it's also true that they have the best tools available to fix this, remove the non-citizens from the list, and ensure it doesn't happen again.

[00:06:06]>> And don't forget, y'all, an Illinois lawmaker recently came out in the past several months and say that his state has a similar problem, and that people who are not supposed to be able to vote are also being registered to vote automatically or automatically sent these voter registration forms in Illinois.

[00:06:25]>> Hey everyone, this is Mark Glennon, Illinois Insider. I just left State Senator Steve McClure's office. I sat down with him to get his thoughts on why he voted no on the appointment of Cantero as the head of DHS here in Illinois. He was a vocal opposition to that appointment yesterday on the Senate floor. Of course, the Democrats pushed that appointment through. Here is why Senator McClure voted no on the appointment of Cantero as the head of DHS.

[00:06:50]>> For the discussion, Senator McClure.

[00:06:53]>> To the appointee.

[00:06:54]>> To the appointee.

[00:06:56]>> Thank you.

[00:06:58]Uh about a year and a half ago, uh we discovered that DHS was intentionally mailing everyone who was a non-citizen who was applying for benefits pre-filled out voter registration forms to go directly to their local county clerk. And I think as all of us know, the county clerk can no longer verify citizenship.

[00:07:18]And uh this is something that I've talked to DHS about behind the scenes now for over a year and a half. I recently had a discussion with the secretary before the confirmation hearing in the executive appointments committee.

[00:07:32]And I was assured that uh the secretary would look into this, this is very concerning, and the only response that I got at the hearing was that yes, I can confirm that that is taking place.

[00:07:43]So, we have a DHS that is mailing people who are not eligible to vote pre-filled out voter registration forms.

[00:07:53]So, they are registering to vote, I can only assume.

[00:07:56]>> Now, State Senator McClure says that there are a couple of problems with the way DHS has been going about sending out these pre-filled out voter registration forms to people who I I I mean, I think here in the country without permission, people who are definitely not citizens definitely should not be voting. State Senator McClure says there are a couple of problems with that, y'all. Can you Can you guess what that might be?

[00:08:22]Can you Can you guess what those might be?

[00:08:24]>> And that's bad for two reasons. It's bad for the immigrant because that is a cardinal sin. If you're applying to be a permanent resident or a citizen, you will never be a citizen, you will never be a permanent resident legally if you cast a vote as if you were already an American citizen. So, that's bad for the immigrant, and it's also, of course, bad for the security of our elections. The fact that the secretary insisted, I'm going to look into this. We're going to do And then, all we got was confirmation, which I already got a year and a half ago, that this is still going on.

[00:08:57]Um I was also told there'd be follow-ups after this, and uh this is going to be taken care of.

[00:09:03]This is a real problem. I mean, this is like really bad. So, I think at the very least, we should vote no, but uh there are some real issues here. And uh while the secretary is a very nice person, that agency is being run terribly right now, and the outstanding issues and legal issues are very concerning. So, for those reasons, I do urge a no vote.

[00:09:25]>> So, yeah, y'all, this does seem to be, you know, where there's smoke, there's fire. I remember the late, great Scott Adams, who I used to watch regularly, even though I didn't agree with everything he said, y'all. I I don't normally like to put that out there, but man, that guy would frustrate me sometimes. But I But I did find a lot of value in many of his takes and many of his frames. You know what I mean if you used to watch Scott Adams, and I did watch him pretty much daily. And he would always say, "So, you're telling me that of everything in the United States, almost every system is corrupted, but not the electoral system. Like Like we can't get anything right, right? We can't get people the food they need because somebody will steal the money.

[00:10:08]We can't get people the medical assistance they need because someone will steal the money or will overcharge or commit fraud. We can't do anything right." Oh, but the elec- But the electoral system, I mean, of course, that that's the only system that we have that's darn near perfect. Now, does that Now, does that ring true to you?
