[00:05:14]To begin, allow me to deliver my opening remarks.

[00:05:21]Your Royal Highness, colleagues, at the outset, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Philippines as ASEAN Chair for the excellent arrangement for today's meeting.

[00:05:37]I am also very pleased to welcome my co-chair, Secretary Rubio, and his delegation.

[00:05:45]Let me also extend Cambodia's warmest congratulation to the United States on the 250th anniversary of its independence.

[00:05:56]We wish the United States and its people continued peace, progress, and prosperity in the years ahead.

[00:06:05]Over the past five decades, ASEAN-US relation have continued to grow from strength to strength, with our cooperation now covering all three pillars of the ASEAN community.

[00:06:19]Since the United States become an ASEAN dialogue partner in 1977, our relationship has advanced to a strategic partnership in 2015 and a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2022.

[00:06:35]These important milestones reflect how far our partnership has come, as well as our shared determination to build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future.

[00:06:51]This commitment is was reaffirmed by our leaders in a joint vision statement adopted last year.

[00:07:01]Next year, we will celebrate the 50-year anniversary of as well as the fifth of our comprehensive strategic partnership.

[00:07:15]These occasion offer us a timely opportunity not only to reflect on what we have achieved together so far, but also to set a clear and ambitious direction for the next chapter of our partnership.

[00:07:31]At a time of profound geopolitical and geo-economic shifts, it political changes, and increasingly complex transnational challenges, close cooperation between ASEAN and the United States is more important than ever.
