The video effectively humanizes the clinical coldness of genetic testing, turning a dry medical report into a relatable narrative of relief. However, it also exemplifies the modern trend of commodifying private diagnostic milestones for lifestyle engagement.

Added:Cuz we did get our results back a few days ago.
>> [music] [music] >> Hi, can I get you a single espresso or double espresso?
>> Yes, a single espresso.
>> There you go. Thank you.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> I really enjoyed [clears throat] running in a scenic place.
This is something that we both really like to do at home.
So, it's really good exercise. But, we run around I think we filmed it actually last time we did it. We did it in London. No, we didn't film it. But, we went round um Buckingham Palace and did a run around that area um in London.
And then it just makes it just so much nicer, because you're taking in the sights.
I mean, well, it did get a bit busy at one point, so it slows you down a little bit, but it's just so pretty. I must say, it's actually gorgeous.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> This is what I have to deal with. So, I've just been in the sun for 1 hour.
1 hour.
We are back from our run. We did a bit of sunbathing, [music] read some of my book, and now we are on our way to different part of Marseille.
This one is a bit more in the coast.
I'll leave the address in the description, but more or less everything that we've done today has been recommended to us by ChatGPT. I just I know that I always go on about how much I love ChatGPT, but it recommended that amazing run. It said that we go start there and then go around it and end up where the markets were and it literally was the perfect distance. And we said, "Oh, we're near the park." And it said, "I recommend not running near the park."
And it was so right cuz we would have just literally I could have drove carriage right in and it would have just been in like an industrial estate. So, it was spot on there. And then it suggested a few different restaurants for us to go to, but they were fully booked. So, this was like maybe the third or fourth restaurant, but I'll also add in the descriptions to where the restaurants recommended. They all looked amazing. I I basically said I wanted like a seafood sea view gorgeous fresh food seafood restaurant and it's just this one called Ocean Basket, I think it's called. Um so, yeah.
Hopefully, it's good, but ChatGPT has not let me down so far this trip.
Also, if you like any of the outfits that I'm wearing this trip, then everything will be linked in the description. And also, our last Virgin Voyage cruise we went to Greece will also be in the description if you want to watch more about what actually is on the ship and a bit more detail in how it all works and then what you get included.
>> [music] >> We have gone for croquettes, salmon tartare, chicken Caesar salad with roasted chicken, and what was salmon tartare? I've already said that, yeah.
So, there was one more thing.
Oh, gnocchi. Truffle gnocchi. And I've got a glass of white wine. I have got a nice cube in there which is definitely frowned upon >> [music] >> in Italy.
Ooh.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> What do you think so far?
What do you think so far?
>> [music] >> We are now in supermarket.
Is there anything there?
It's a French supermarket.
Ice creams.
>> [music] >> We're in the taxi now. We're on the way to the cruise.
What time is it?
>> 4:00.
>> 4:00. The cruise leaves at 5:00.
So, we've got 30 minutes. And he's just realized he's done 20,000 steps.
20,000. We made it!
It is so gorgeous when we are sailing.
I'm going to go sit on the balcony right now. Read a little bit of my book, and then we've got the [music] Mexican restaurant tonight. This is book five in the Briar series, which is Off-Campus.
So, I can't remember if I've updated on this, but basically I've read all of the books so far and loved them. They've been such an easy read. I have tried to start reading Throne of Glass, but I just cannot get into it. I'm going to I'm not going to give up on it, but I think I just need a light read, which is why I've loved reading these recently.
And this one is like all of the characters are together, so it's a perfect holiday read.
This is [music] what I'm wearing to dinner. We're going to the Mexican restaurant tonight. This set is from Wonder Doll and it's in this like knitted I don't know if you can see.
It's in this like knitted material, but it's got this like 3D print on top. Don't mind the mess behind me. Um but I really love it in this orange color. So, like it's very holiday [clears throat] vibe. Love it.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> We got the chicken enchilada and some prawn.
We are back. We're back in the room.
Look at what we won.
But, I say we. Anthony won. 100, 200, 350 dollars. But, this is a really positive >> [music] >> sign that we that luck is on our side.
So, tomorrow when we get our karyotyping results it's going to be good news because we're on a winning streak.
And I actually been reading a lot [music] of people's um comments that they've left on my last video about fertility. And I feel like a lot of them like I've made some really valid points about um like me feeling like I really need to control the situation and trying to gather some form of like yeah, structure and routine into the scenario that we're in with infertility, but it's just not really possible.
Um and that I should just try and relax more and that it go with the flow, which I do agree with in some extent, which is obviously why we've just escaped and spending time together and it's just so important to do that. And traveling and doing and experiencing new things together.
And we've had some insane holidays over the last 10 years. And I do feel like that is the best time to like reconnect and just feel really good together and experience new things. So, I do agree that taking some time to relax and not be stressed is super important for fertility. But however, at the same time, some of those comments have said I should just kind of go with the flow, which in an ideal world, you know, I would love to, but as I'm 36 and 5'7, and I said this in my last video, I don't want to get to 40 and then have the regret and think, "Why did I not spend the last few years trying to speed things up or trying to get answers?" Um and I've heard so many people previously message me saying they've had multiple miscarriages.
And then they found out later on what the cause was, whereas I, with my logical thinking, wanted to try and rule out as many things so that then that stops those possibilities from happening. Obviously, it can still happen. Obviously, we can, you know, you can't stop a miscarriage or um not being able to get pregnant. But if I can try and find out things that can help and stop that from happening, then why would I why would I not? But >> [sighs] >> like I say, I do completely agree with the idea of relaxing more and just being more in the moment, um which we've we've definitely done. We've had the best day. It's been so jam-packed.
So, we went for the run, went for breakfast, went for the run, went to Masai Market, went to went to sunbathe, came back, had dinner at the beach, came back, had a nap. The nap was 10 out of 10.
I I just love sleeping on holiday. I don't know about you, but sleeping on holiday. I think I've had like 10 hours sleep today.
And then we got ready, went out and had such a gorgeous evening at the Mexican restaurant, finished it off at the casino. Now it's midnight. I've just made myself hot chocolate.
And tomorrow's a new day. We will wake up. Right now we're traveling to Nice. And we don't really have any plans. We were going to get We were going to try and pre-book a beach club tomorrow, but um we decided to just go with the flow. So, that's the plan. And tomorrow night I can't remember what restaurant we've got, but hopefully tomorrow evening will be a celebratory meal.
>> I'm being positive today.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Good morning. We're just off to the gym for our second workout of the [music] week.
Starting the with chia seeds. And this one has got like a And then I've also got some overnight oats to try. These I think are one of my favorite. One thing we did yesterday is we got some honey from the local market, so we've got that to put on top of it because So, that's the honey.
I like my [music] natural honey, you know.
>> [music] >> We are ready. We're going to go [music] I think we said we're going to go to Monaco. We're going to get the tender, which I absolutely hate. This is our third cruise. So, we've been on the tender six times.
Basically, when the ship is at some ports, it [music] can't get close enough, so you have to get one of the emergency boats, which is called a tender, to shore, and it terrifies me.
It is so rocky and awful, but it's just one of those things. Like, even if we got a speedboat or something, it would be exactly the same. It's just that you're on a boat, and I hate it. But, we're going to have such a good day. So, then what I'm wearing, I got these shoes from Cider. They're like a kitten heel.
I really like them. They're super comfortable. And these shorts I actually got for Athens. They're [music] from Zara. They fit really well. I think they're like a nice length, as well.
They're a micro short, but they're not too short, and like the jumper I was wearing this morning, my buttock was hanging out. Then, this bikini is actually a thong bikini. I don't know who [music] I am, but it's in a white white top and thong bottom.
>> [music] >> That is from ASOS. I will link everything in the description. And then, this is from Amazon. So, I'm not going to I'm not going to pretend and take credit for this outfit. I saw it on Pinterest, and [music] I just absolutely love the idea of little white shorts with a bralette top and then a sheer top over the top of it. I think it looks really chic for South of France. And then, details are these Christian Dior earrings Anthony got me [music] a few years ago, which I absolutely love, and I'm always so scared to wear in case I lose them. My Abbott Lyon watch and bracelet, my new Aura ring. This is Aura ring five, my engagement ring. And then, I was going to put another necklace on, but I've just got my my uh brand new one that I wear every day, and cuz I think sometimes less is more, especially with like a statement earring like this.
Like, it's this big CD. I don't want anything I think sometimes when you wear too many like designer items at once, it just looks tacky in my opinion.
Um I like it to look understated. So, I really like this look. I'm glad it came together. This is what I wanted to create in my head. Um and I'm excited to spend the day in South of France with Anthony.
It's really freaking me out that we don't know where we're going now because I like to have everything planned and I've been looking at loads of different beach clubs because we left it too late.
Lots of them are booked up, so we're just going to head to Monaco cuz we've been before and we went to the square and we really enjoyed it and all the shops there. So, then we're going to go to Monaco. It's only 30 minutes away and and then we'll just find a beach club there and decide what to do. Also, no test results just yet. I think I'm going to turn my phone off for today and just embrace and enjoy the day and then check later on if we've got anything through. Um but I'm pretty sure it won't be today that we find out about the carrier typing.
>> [music] >> I've got a quick outfit change into this top because I was actually dying in the mesh. It looks great, but it's actually like getting clothes in holes cuz it's so hot. We're at this really cute little French restaurant here the near where the [music] ship is.
I've ordered some mussels. I feel like we've really gone with the French >> [snorts] >> food over being here. We're both just saying we'd really like to actually come and spend some time in France and bring Max and Yeah, just I really like France. I think that we I feel like we've never actually done like a proper trip to France other than to Paris and um day trips, so that's on our agenda for next year, maybe.
I've we've mussels coming. I've got steak frites coming. And she's got pizza.
We need to get her something to eat yet.
And the waiter was so French. I just loved it. We're given a bag of bread. We love that. Throw it on the table.
They're like fried mussels. I never had that before.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Basically, because we just ate so much for dinner for for lunch, sorry. We decided to just have lunch for dinner and cancel our Italian reservation because we're not that hungry, but I just want loads of vegetables.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> So here we go. Fresh zucchini with king prawns and courgette.
Hello. I have not picked up my camera for quite few days now. As you saw, we went to the Amalfi Coast and had the most insane day and we've just been like we've just been living in the moment. It's been amazing just to switch off and this is what we both needed so much without realizing just with the cruise, it's so good because you're in a different place every day so you just there's no time to think about anything that's going on in your life.
You just kind of like switch off and just so present in the moment where you are and so much to do and so much to explore and being in Italy on that boat, I just felt so much gratitude and we were just so relaxed and it was just one of the most magical days of our life. It was honestly an incredible experience. If you've never been to Italy before, honestly, it is the most breathtaking place. Just insane.
Um but like I said, I haven't put the camera up because we've kind of just been enjoying ourselves in the moment because we did get our results back a few days ago and it's all positive. So from that, because it has been such good news, we've just completely enjoyed every moment and just yeah, enjoyed being together as a couple and it's just been insane. So the results have come back that neither of us have any chromosomal issues. So moving forward, we probably don't need to have PGT-A, which we're really positive about. Um it has, I guess, just been bad luck. Obviously, there's other things that we spoke about in the last video with the MTHFR gene, my B12, my homocysteine, iron, all those things that we need to get under control. But it is looking like things are moving in the positive direction.
I don't know if I updated you in the last video as well, but um I was waiting again for this next hysteroscopy, but this one is going to be a surgical one. So when I had the last treatment in the last video, they said, "Oh, we'll rush you through and you'll be able to get seen quite quickly." Then I rang about a week ago, or maybe two weeks ago when I when I had my little breakdown in the last video, and they said it was looking like it was going to be October before they could see me. But I've been ringing relentlessly trying to get an update or if I need to go private or anything that's going to kind of speed things up.
And then two days before we left, I spoke to the hospital's receptionist and she's got me in literally like next week, I think it is.
So from the last video where everything was going in the downward spiral, since then, just getting it all out and trying to be more optimistic, everything's turned around and everything's just so much more positive now. So when we get back, I'm going to have my surgical hysteroscopy. And I think after that, you have to maybe wait two to three months to get everything to recover and heal, but it's looking like we'll be able to try naturally again soon, which I'm just so happy about. Oh, we decided to go through the IVF route.
Um, we haven't fully decided yet, but the fact that there's no genetic issue, like that was going to be such a big thing because of all of the different things you have to do and all the different avenues you have to go down if you do have a genetic um if you do have a if you do have a chromosomal issue either of you. So, it's just such a relief and thank you so much for all of your kind messages.
Honestly, it's been insane. Even on this trip I've met so many people who've come up to me and said, "Oh, Emily, I really love following your page and we're going through a similar thing." So, I just love connecting with people who also know the struggle or even anybody who's, you know, given me gorgeous story of a happy ending or someone they know and it's it's worked for them. So, yeah, thank you so much for everybody being so positive and sharing your stories and being with me on on this journey. We are now about to go >> [snorts] >> for a run in Sicily. We just pulled up into Palermo and this is going to be our second run of the week. It is currently 32°. Don't know how well this run's going to go, but we're going to give it our best shot. But, thank you so much for watching this video if you made it this far and I will see you in the next one, which will be a little bit more of an update on home life and I cannot wait to get home to my garden. We just spoke to Anthony's mom and she's been watering all my plants. She said there's some serious growth happened in the garden while we've been away and I just can't wait to get home and I think being here has been insane to go around South of South of France and the coast of Italy and like try different recipes and one thing I'm really wanting to do over the next couple of weeks is create a healthy recipe book. So, that is my goal and I'll be talking about that in the next video. So, thank you so much for watching and I'll see you guys very soon.
