European nations are increasingly questioning the effectiveness of Western-led coalitions for Ukraine, with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis dismissing both the Coalition of the Willing and European anti-ballistic missile initiatives as declarations producing 'zero' results, while Bulgaria has withdrawn from the coalition arguing that continued military assistance prolongs rather than resolves the conflict, and Hungary and Slovakia have similarly resisted additional weapons and funding commitments, revealing significant cracks in Europe's unified Ukraine policy.

‘All Bark, No Bite’: NATO Nation Breaks Ranks Over Ukraine, Opposes Coalition | Big Boost For Putin?
Added:Another European leader is openly questioning whether the West's growing list of Ukraine [music] coalitions produces anything beyond declarations, summits, [music] and political theater.
Czech Prime Minister Andre Babes has dismissed both the so-called coalition of the willing and a newlyannounced European anti-bballistic missile initiative, arguing that Prague has little reason to join another grouping [music] that exists largely on paper.
Asked whether the Czech Republic [music] would participate in the missile coalition, Bobish reportedly described it as another declaration from which nothing will come out.
He was even more direct about [music] the coalition of the willing, the British and French-led group discussing security guarantees and a possible [music] multinational force for Ukraine after any ceasefire. It never produced [music] anything, just politicians talking, Bobish said, adding that the result of Czech participation had been zero.
10 countries including Ukraine, [music] Britain, France, and Germany recently announced plans to develop a common defense architecture against ballistic missiles. However, the initiative remains at an early stage with major questions surrounding its financing, production capacity, [music] and command structure.
Bobish has also rejected sending Czech soldiers to Ukraine. His government says Prague's ammunition initiative may continue only if other participating countries finance [music] it, a clear departure from the strongly pro Keev policies pursued by his predecessor.
The Czech leader is not alone. Bulgaria has withdrawn [music] from the coalition of the willing, arguing that continued military assistance [music] will prolong the conflict instead of ending it.
Hungary has consistently refused to supply weapons while Slovakia has resisted additional funding commitments.
>> I personally received an invitation from President Macarron to join the coalition of the willing, but I do not think Bulgaria belongs there because we are not participating in a coalition that insists on continued financial and military aid for Ukraine.
We do not provide such because I believe the solution to this conflict is not in prolonging it with military means but in a strong diplomatic mission that will finally put an end to the escalation.
Everyone is invited to join this coalition but I met colleagues who did not join the coalition of the willing yet were at the dinner and the reception hosted by the president of France. All decisions concerning our collective security are made in a different format and in a different place. We have seen many proposals and ideas so far. These matters are decided within the European Union and within NATO where Bulgaria has its own weight and active presence.
Bulgaria openly stated its reservations regarding these individuals and its firm readiness to veto the entire package if they were not removed from the list. you saw that they were removed from the list and for the first time Bulgaria is openly asserting its national interest and uh for the first time we see that there is nothing scary about a country defending its national interest in a collective format because the European Union is strong when [music] its member states are strong and they can only be strong when they defend their interest and This behavior [music] is respected by all other partners.
So, Bulgaria is now defending its voice for a stronger Europe of stronger member states.
Moscow has repeatedly [music] warned that any NATO forces deployed inside Ukraine, even following a ceasefire, would be treated as legitimate military targets. Russia says the western coalition is preparing [music] for continued confrontation rather than building the conditions for a negotiated settlement.
Unfortunately, she is not strange. Uh this is uh this is not a dream. These are truly absolutely uh real plans that are being hatched uh uh in the countries of the European Union and they are being hatched including uh within NATO and uh indeed it is truly a matter of as has been repeatedly stated including at the highest level that uh such concrete plans to deploy foreign contingent contingents of NATO countries to the territory of Ukraine exist. They these plans are supposedly ready and furthermore these will become part of the security guarantees for Ukraine. For us, this is absolutely unacceptable. Uh um we cannot allow such actions and in fact uh the special military operation is being conducted precisely so that uh no uh North Atlantic Treaty Organization troops are present on the territory of Ukraine.
Bobish's message is therefore not that Europe should remain defenseless.
It is that grand announcements, expensive summits, and vaguely defined coalitions cannot [music] substitute for either a credible defense strategy or serious diplomacy.
And as more central European governments [music] question an open-ended commitment to Keev, the cracks inside Europe's Ukraine [music] policy are becoming increasingly difficult to conceal.
News never stops. [music] The world keeps turning and every turn tells a story. Wars, elections, geopolitics, [music] Davids versus Goliaths.
