McConnell Bombshell SHAKES MAGA movement...
Added:I don't know anything about McConnell's health. I I know zero. I'm totally in the dark. And uh you know, I certainly wish him well in his fan life. Um I I do think that uh a certain point you have an obligation to your constituents on the country to tell them, >> "Yeah, you do have an obligation." And that is Senator Josh Holly, a Republican from Missouri, who was one of many who finally commented on the situation with Mitch McConnell yesterday. Okay. And I'm going to show you a couple of the others because Holly is really the only one that I found who is willing to say anything of note that McConnell and his team need to be transparent with the American people and the people of Kentucky about where the hell he is. And I'm as frustrated as the rest of you.
Every day we think we're going to get some update about this and we don't find out. Is Mitch McConnell dead? Is he brain dead on a ventilator as we've heard several times before. Is he coming back to work? They said he was coming back to work last week. That never happened. If he could take a phone call with Scott Jennings, why is he not taking a phone call from a reporter? Why is he not shooting a very simple video showing that he's alive and well? I don't know. Everything about this is super weird. And I applaud Josh Holly.
I'll give him a modicum of credit for being willing to talk about it and say that what's happening is wrong. But he's certainly doing a better job than the other senator in Kentucky, Ran Paul, who literally ran away from reporters yesterday when asked about Mitch McConnell's health. Watch this clip.
Senator, can you tell us what you think about McConnell's absence? Do you think he needs to put out a video instead of just a photo?
What's your position on the term limits issue? Do you think the McConnell issue says anything about term limits?
>> See, guys, it's just ridiculous. They don't have anything for us. And I think this just highlights one of my biggest complaints about American government today. And by the way, that includes a lot of Democrats, too. They think they don't owe the American people transparency. They think they don't owe us the time of day. They act as if it's a burden for reporters or everyday Americans to ask basic simple questions like, "Where the hell is the senior senator from Kentucky who's been missing for a month?" That's a reasonable question. What are we on? Day 32, day 33 here, and we're just all moving along like everything's okay. We're in the middle of a war right now. An illegal war, no less. The debt the deficit are skyrocketing. The economy is a mess. Our president is a fascist nut job and Kucky's down one senator right now and nobody seems to care, not even Ran Paul.
And I'm going to show you the other half of this clip because the same reporter caught up to Rand Paul and he did it again. He ran away again refusing to answer whether or not there should be term limits or age limits or any kind of reform to make sure that this stops happening.
>> Hey, Senator, some are saying there should be age limits for members of Congress given what's going on with McConnell. Where do you stand on that?
>> I love heaven.
nothing. They don't have anything for us. And that's actually the quintessential hallmark, I think, of the Republican party today. They don't have anything for us on anything. They have nothing for us on Mitch McConnell's health. They have nothing for us on Donald Trump's corruption. They have nothing for us on how we're going to end the war and lower gas prices. They have nothing for us on housing and the state of the economy and the job market, AI, robotics, technology, healthcare. You pick an issue. Education in America today. They have no answer for anything.
And that ought to just irritate the out of you. And a big part of the reason that we can't get anything done beyond the fact that at least one United States senator isn't showing up to work. God knows how many others there might be in Congress that aren't showing up to work that we don't know about right now.
Given the fact that it keeps happening, this is not the first time that we've had a member of Congress just mysteriously disappear. The conversation about term limits and age limits, I think, matters a great deal because we do need fresh blood in Congress to solve the issues and lower the gap between the average age of the American people, which is 38, and the average age of a United States member of Congress, which is 68, a 30-year gap, and a reporter got up to Senator Shelley Caputo and asked her this question. You should see her answer because it's absolutely ridiculous. And I'll break it down.
Senator, do you think there needs to be a mandatory retirement age or just an age limit for lawmakers of people discussing this?
>> What about term limits? People are discussing it in the context of McConnell being out for so long.
>> You know, I think all people age differently and uh I think we see that in families and businesses and certainly every phase of our lives. Uh I think so.
No, my answer is no. I don't think we need to.
>> No term limits either.
>> No.
>> And are you confident in McConnell coming back soon or do you think he's put out enough information?
>> I mean his what he said was he's sick.
Uh he had uh you know something that uh has caused him to miss votes. He plans to be back. He's talked to members.
Let's have respect for him.
his help to let him heal in Quebec.
>> Have you been able to talk to him?
>> No, I was supposed to talk to him last week and I couldn't do it. So, I hope this >> Thanks, Senator.
>> I just Wait. Okay, so she was supposed to talk to Mitch McConnell last week, but she couldn't do it. I think you should have made that a priority given the fact that one of your colleagues has been missing for about a month now. I mean, these people are ridiculous. Like, we all know that they're full of crap.
Let's just be honest about that for a second. She says yes, he's coming back.
I don't think anybody really believes that Mitch McConnell is going to come back. They're pretty clearly playing a game here trying to stretch this out so that there won't be a special election in Kentucky to defend the seat this year, which looks awfully bad for Republicans based on the polling that we're seeing right now. This is a game that they are playing. And of course, by the way, that the senator doesn't think there should be term limits and age limits. She's 72 years old. And I'm not questioning her mental faculties or her physical health or anything like that. I think there are plenty of 60, 70, and even 80 year olds who are very valuable to society. It's not an agism thing. But at the end of the day, if we are going to have this much lifespan, then we need to make sure that there are clear ways to remove a member of Congress who is no longer fit to do the job. And this has happened so many different times.
Senator Diane Feinstein on the Democratic party side, now Mitch McConnell. We had K Granger disappear from Congress last year. We had Tom Keane disappear for several months this year. By the way, Tom Keane, who was hospitalized for depression. That's a real thing. Okay, let's assume that the story he's telling is true. But it didn't stop him from introducing legislation. And it didn't stop him from insider trading and making nearly $300,000 while he was gone. On your taxpayer dime, he got paid to do that, to insider trade and manipulate the market when he was in a hospital missing votes. That's just disturbing to me.
This is not how a functioning healthy society and democracy should work. It's just not. There is such a gap between anything getting done and any bit of functionality here. This is also to me it's it's not dissimilar from the dysfunction when it comes to sexual assault and the treatment of women by the United States Congress. Right now they are still in this moment they are covering up multiple instances of harassment by staffers and they're paying off those staffers to keep them quiet using taxpayer dollars and refusing to be transparent about which members of Congress have been accused of what and when and how. And so they're using the whole system to protect themselves. So of course, Senator Caputo doesn't think that there should be age limits or term limits. They don't want any regulation or control on themselves.
That's why Congress still hasn't banned insider trading, by the way. They want to be able to profiter. It's why Mike Johnson, just like a month or so ago, was saying, "Well, you need to be able to insider trade and and all of that because we have families that we have to take care of." And I would be fine, frankly, to pay members of Congress more money while taking this away from them.
I want them to be able to sometimes they have to maintain two residencies. It's a hard job. It's long hours. I'm fine with that. And at the end of the day, this is just there's so many reasons for our members of Congress to not do the work of the American people. Whether it's our campaign finance laws, it's lobbyists, it's it's foreign interference in our elections, it's this crap. They're hanging on for too long. They're not accomplishing anything. We need wholesale reform. And to that point, McConnell's actually violating Senate rules right now. Let me show you this.
This is from Shawn Davis on X. reminder that McConnell, who is literally awol from the Senate, is currently in violation of Senate rules. Under paragraph 2 of rule six of the standing rules of the Senate, quote, "No senator shall absent himself from the service of the Senate without leave rather than communicating through secret phone calls or anonymous, etc. They are he has not communicated a leave. He has not told the people of Kentucky. He's not told his fellow members of Congress where he is right now. He's just absconded. He's AWOL. He's like a member of the military that just disappeared right before the battle. is wrong. And if there was a functioning United States Senate that would actually police itself, then they would expel him and they would get a replacement so that Kentucky could have full representation. And I'm not listen, God knows, I have no idea if we could actually appoint a Democrat for that seat. I hope Andy Basher tries. It sounds like he's going to the governor of Kentucky. I don't know if we could win a special election. It would be tough. KY's a very red state, even in a year that's this favorable for Democrats right now, given how pissed off they are about Trump. But god damn it. It it just it it can't we can't keep playing these games, guys. We can't keep playing these games. Just be down a senator. I mean, the president of the United States added a 50% tariff on Canada, blaming them for the wildfires, which are ruining the air quality here in Chicago. The tariffs aren't going to do anything with that.
He's a madman. And the United States Congress is supposed to be a check on his power. But we effectively in this moment do not have a Congress because Republicans have basically bowed down to their king. And you know, I didn't love Mitch McConnell, but he was one of the few that would stand up to Trump. So maybe that's part of the reason they don't seem that alarmed that he's gone.
They're happy to have one less thorn in their side. But this is it's just it's it's maddening and insane to me that we're okay with this happening and that we're still not getting any real information. I read all of your guys' comments in my last video. There were a lot of people who were frustrated at the repetitive nature of these videos. Guys, I don't want to shoot them this way. I have no more information. I'm trying to cover this every day. The best information that I have, I'm as frustrated as you guys are. This is nutso to me. And folks, I'm going to keep staying on this, okay? I'm going to provide you the best information that I can. I'm going to try not to be too salacious with it. But I appreciate every single one of you stay in this fight and keep helping us share these videos so that people know that right now they are hiding the health of a United States senator. Is he dead? We don't know. Is he brain dead? We don't know. We just know that something's wrong. Okay? There's something fishy and wrong about the story that they're telling us. I frankly don't believe we'll ever see him again. And I appreciate your support. Make sure that you subscribe to the channel down below.
