Phoenix Flies Like a Pro! Just One Day After Returning Home

[00:00:00]One exciting afternoon for Phoenix, just one day after returning to the nest following her accidental fledge on July 2nd, Phoenix showed just how much she had learned. Her afternoon flight was smooth, confident, and controlled, looking more comfortable in the air than she had a short time earlier. [music] It's amazing how quickly eaglets develop once they begin flying. With every flight, Phoenix is building strength, coordination, and confidence, and today she looked increasingly at ease soaring around the nest area.

[00:01:38]As evening settled [music] in, Phoenix spent some time alone, calmly taking in her surroundings after an active afternoon. Then, just before dark, one of the adults returned to the [music] nest tree to be with her. It was a reassuring ending to the evening, with Phoenix no longer alone as the night fell. [music] From an unexpected early fledge to flying with such confidence only a day [music] later.
