[00:00:01]There are some countries that are often forgotten. You will never hear them on TV or on the news like Burundi.

[00:00:08]Burundi is under a severe shortage of fuel, food, and also water.

[00:00:18]They don't have clean water.

[00:00:20]And this is caused by the war which is going on in Congo.

[00:00:25]The refugees that are coming from Congo and also the border that is closed between Burundi and Rwanda.

[00:00:34]And also Tanzania, there are some Burundian refugees who live in Tanzania that Tanzania is repatriating to Burundi. They say they don't want them to remain in Tanzania again, so they are sending back to Burundi. So, Burundi is a small country with 14 million, but is very small and landlocked country with a small land, so they don't have enough resources to take care of this large population. The Congolese and also its own population because some Congolese are fleeing the war which is going on in Congo between Rwanda and Congo.

[00:01:14]There are some rebels backed by Rwanda who want to claim the eastern part of Congo, and Burundi is not happy with that. Burundi decided to send some troops in the eastern Congo to help Congo fight, but these uh soldiers were not effective enough to stop the advancement of these uh Rwandan backed uh rebels, but we heard that uh in the military, there are some ranks in the military in the uh Burundian military which uh was not happy about this decision, and uh we heard of a the explosion near the capital Burundi at a military uh camp where 13 people died because of an explosion. And we heard that they angry about the deployment of some soldier in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The one then and Rwanda and Burundi is still closed to because uh Burundi accuses uh Rwanda of supporting a rebel group which is based in eastern Congo uh which often attacks Burundi Bujumbura uh to destabilize the government in power in order to take power. So, the border has been closed for many years now. So, Rwanda and Burundi are not in good relations.

[00:02:32]And uh the only country which had good relations with Burundi was Congo and Congo is in a situation of war where Rwanda is uh attacking Congo and killing its citizens and pushing the uh citizen of Congo to flee to Burundi.
