These failures have resulted in delays in treatment, denial of care to patients with varied health care coverage and unexpected out- of-pocket cost at some some of their most vulnerable moments.

[00:01:59]In the statement, honorable speaker, the committee should address the following.

[00:02:03]The long-term measures being implemented to resolve the persistent technical glitches affecting the gadget systems in public hospitals across the country. the alternative mechanisms available to patients when the care digital systems fail, including manual processing protocols and the support measures in place to ensure that patients are not denied care of or subjected to unexpected out of pockets expenses. Number three, honorable speaker, the committee should also look at the plans to conduct a comprehensive audit of healthare digital systems in public hospitals across the country to identify vulnerabilities and assess their resilience. Number four, honorable speaker, the committee should also look at the specific information and digital systems and technologies currently used in public hospitals to manage patient eligibility claims processing and hospital reimbursement and provide the total number of reported cases of system failure over the past 12 months resulting in delayed or rened patient care. The committee should also look at the concrete measures being taken to prevent future system outages, strengthen the reliability of the digital infrastructure and simant the uninterrupted delivery of patient care.
