[00:00:04]Really, really expensive. The infamous Littoral Combat Ship, a fast modular do-everything warship designed to support shallow water nearshore missions, was estimated to cost $220 million per hull.

[00:00:21]That's a lot of money, sure, but not outrageous all things considered when you look at everything else. But then, obviously, came the mountain of mechanical issues, propulsion problems, immature mission systems, and a general lack of survivability against anything more than a strongly worded letter, driving costs upwards of $600 million.
