How Radical AI Built an Autonomous Lab in Record Time with Off-the-Shelf PrecisionAjouté :
I'm Jonathan Runquist. I'm a mechanical engineer developing the world's most advanced material science lab. We give AI the ability to perform experiments by automating equipment that was never meant to be automated. We use standard lab equipment and connect their workflows using tools like Zaber. This is our oxidation station where we heat samples up to 1,500° C in a controlled atmosphere. We needed high-performing actuators to be able to survive taking the samples in and out of the furnace without getting damaged.
Zaber's online tools allowed us to find, design, and integrate the right equipment when designing this station.
Their hardware and software is so easy to integrate cuz their software is so consistent between product lines that we can easily copy and paste to other stations.
