[00:00:02]The only thing they get to judge their speed is the RPM gauge, and they don't need anything else. So, drivers memorize the exact RPM and gear for the pit lane speed, which is pretty much as precise as having a speedometer anyway. And according to drivers, it would be too easy to judge with a speedo. There's also the psychological side. As one former driver famously said, "The last thing you want to know at 200 mph is that you're going 200 mph." So even something as little as a speedometer is considered as unnecessary data that could distract the drivers.
