paying stay at home moms a salary
Added:All right, so we just collect the information. We create a registration form for all the stay-at-home moms here in town.
How do we validate that they're stay-at-home moms? How do we validate that they they Same way that they would claim a child on taxes.
Um You you you you prove that you have dependents and that you are the primary caregiver at home while a spouse works. I don't think people are going to be willing or happy to give over more information than needed.
Creating a documentation list of all the stay-at-home moms in town just seems like you're collecting data.
Nobody has to do it.
No stay-at-home mom has to give me their information.
They just have to give me their information if they want to get paid uh for the hours of being a mom during the week.
Okay.
You do realize I'm only I'm only questioning you and bringing these points up because we need to be ahead of any pushback.
And we need to be able to see things from all perspectives before going about something.
We do want to keep your approval rating above way above 50% so um Yeah.
How is my approval I I know I shouldn't check every 5 seconds, but how is it?
Well, the approval rating form went live yesterday, I think. So, it doesn't hit the Patreon members until a week from now.
So, we won't get any votes for a week from now.
Okay.
Just curious. How long was Gabby queen?
What is my time to beat?
In a way.
>> Gabby was queen from June 15th to July 17th.
Um you would have to remain queen for over a month to beat her reign.
Obviously, her reign will be one of the shortest. Um but yeah.
You would have to remain queen for a month or more.
>> Got it.
I'm excited with nerves.
I have so much I want to do, but my big initiative is paying stay-at-home moms.
Um if you're pregnant, you already get free health care here in town. So.
>> The only issue also with this paying stay-at-home moms thing is um the funding.
Where are we going to get the funding for this?
>> Well, there there are less women in Seraphina town.
Not all of them are stay-at-home moms.
And if you have a part-time job, you can't collect the stay-at-home mom income. It's only if you're a full-time stay-at-home mom as of today.
So, I mean, there aren't that many stay-at-home moms here in town. It shouldn't cost us that much.
>> How much are we paying them? Uh minimum wage or >> No, it can't be minimum wage. That's an insult.
It has to be higher than the minimum wage, at least a couple dollars higher.
>> All right, but again, where are we getting the funding for this?
>> More mothers will More I think more women will opt to be a stay-at-home mom.
So if we can pay them more than what they would be paying for daycare or we pay them more than what they would be earning at work, um it incentivizes women to be stay-at-home moms.
So, um we can shut down some of the town-run daycares because there won't be so many children in those daycares.
>> Going to be causing some jobs there and shutting down daycares, um I mean, that's probably not a good look. And also, that's going to take a while.
>> Mr. Yellow.
I don't care how hard it is.
And I I do think that there are some women who would prefer to be home with their child than put their child in daycare. I'm not saying we need to close the state a bunch of state-run daycares. I'm just saying maybe we cut a little bit of funding and transfer it to the stay-at-home moms. I don't think anyone have anyone would have an issue with that. I mean, maybe yeah, but >> If we're removing funding for the state-run daycares, uh I mean, the town-run daycares then jobs are going to be lost, benefits are going to be lost, and those people are going to be upset.
>> There's going to be more jobs created through this program. People who have to audit whether or not these women are telling the truth about being a stay-at-home mom. Um there's going to be payroll people.
There's going to be more jobs created that those in the daycare system and other people who lose that may lose their job through this can can move into that program.
I don't like that I'm like overly explaining this to a defense because I feel like it comes off as like I'm defending it.
But this is a good program for people in town.
You know what I mean?
I want to help the moms have an income.
It's a big issue for women when they have to rely on their partner's income when they too are busting their butt at home.
Okay.
All right.
We will make it work.
Let's um Have you spoke with your family since taking the the crown?
No.
I haven't been home yet. I just wanted to adjust.
Give my just I'm excited to be queen.
You know?
I have to tell my husband that he can't move in because my daughter doesn't want him to move in and I don't want to go home.
I don't want to face that right now. I want to fix this town. I want to I want to give back to the people that voted for me.
I want to make Serafina town a place people want to be again and create an excitement.
There are a lot of disgruntled people who have been so loyal to Serafina town and now they have power and I want them to feel like they don't even need to use that power because they love the job that I'm doing.
>> But you can't neglect your family.
And as your advisor, I know I'm just here to advise you as queen, but I'm also here to advise you as a human being.
>> Right, but let's keep things separate.
I need you to advise me as queen.
I don't need anyone to advise me in my personal life.
But I appreciate it.
