>> What's up? You got to give him a little more something something than that.
What's up everyone?
All right. As you guys can see, I am over here taking some measurements.
These drums are not ours, but we are having one that is custom made to fit a specific reason, specific spot. So, let's go go in and check it out. All right, everyone. You know, we have the drum filter right there that is running temper rarely. And someone had said something on one of the videos, why are you putting these filters on your tanks when you're supposed to be selling the drum filters? And that is a very good point. Well, the reason is I do believe in the drums 100%.
and they are, you know, the great greatest thing that has come in the aquarium industry in a very long time.
But I'm not going to run a central drum and then a drum on every single tank. So what we're doing is we are putting the sponge boxes on the actual tank and out here >> temporarily. We we are having a very large uh drum filter that's made that can sit on top of this sump here. And it's going to be basically two of those uh 3,200 of our filters outside. You're going to have two drums that that can handle 20,000 gallons of water a piece, which is absolute insanity.
Okay, so basically this is this is the main overview of it. There's our pipe right there. It comes in from the 4,000 which gets pumped over. Excuse me, Josh.
Um, that's the the main pipe coming back. And what we want to do is bring that down as low as possible. So, we want these bio balls like these things to be cut in half and then put down lower so that our sump sitting on top of it is now down lower and we can draw more off of there and turn up that pump going to that tank. Um, and the lower we can get our sump or I'm sorry, our drum filter, uh, like see that one's really low. That's coming off of them tanks.
There's head pressure of them coming over and pushing up to here. But if we have them up higher, it's going to be less head pressure. So, we want these as low as possible. So, we're trying to figure out how to redesign our sump system because we love to trickle through pass through system cuz, you know, when the power goes out, they don't die for, you know, 2 3 days. But if you have them underwater and you got air coming up through and the power goes out, they'll die within three, four hours. So, uh, that's what our problem we're having now with what we're trying to design.
>> All right, I think I got it. So, it'll be a hybrid approach between what you said and what I just came up with. We can sink these step down in further >> as long as we bring the plate holding the bio balls up a milk crate higher cuz it's sitting on a milk crate now. Well, this is filled from bottom to top with bio balls. So, it don't don't matter if they're submerged.
>> We're going to put half of them into here.
>> Well, I have more to fill this up.
>> Well, we don't want to submerge bio balls. They don't work like that. They work with air and and water.
>> Continue on with the subject. Not a full size milk crate. If we get the half size milk crates, it can go go in, you know, six inches more. Cuz if you take the water level where it is now and add a milk crate on top of it, you only add 6 in of bio balls. That's not going to be enough.
Yeah. No, you're wrong there.

Yeah, but I'm saying a milk crate not from the water level from where the the bottom plate is held up now holding the bio balls. We set the, you know, some sort of plate in between there, the height of a milk crate, and bring it from that plate now up 12 inches. That's where the new plate holding the bio balls will be. And then we set this down on the ground, and then it'll be the same amount underwater.
You can split the bio balls up to where they're completely even. If we so wanted to, you can run a airstone underneath each bay and just run it from the air that's already running the actually get my >> to it and make them run. But we'll have enough headroom right now. I believe I have enough sitting on top right now to put that drum up on top of here running it.
>> Okay.
>> Um, >> so I think we're we're good. We just >> Well, you got to understand, hold up.
From that pipe, that pipe coming out, it's not going to be at that height.
That's this 800gallon tub is overflowing and that's 3 in down from the top and it's overflowing out that pipe and then it comes in this pipe here which is like 6 in higher >> than that pipe.
>> Yeah, >> that'll be our intake.
>> I'm getting numb.
>> Yeah, we just want at the end of the cycle you're going to have that drum going to get clogged with dirt. clogged with dirt and it's going to keep raising the water level until it hits that float and goes back down.
>> So, at its fullness, you still want it to be beneath your intake, >> right? Have to come here.
Also, we don't necessarily need to set the drum filter on top of here. We can set it behind on a platform that's 8 in down, 10 in down. So you have the head pressure from the pipe kind of coming in and it is flowing into here getting the most amount of bio.
>> We might even be able to keep the no crates as they are and still do that. So >> okay, >> I think we should just go go forward or order that drum and get it in for production cuz it's going to take like 2 months to get here.
>> Okay. Well, that gives us enough time to redo this whole sump.
>> Yep. I'm actually starting this tomorrow.
>> Okay. So, I'm bringing in that that pull hooking it up. Then we got to get this in there. Get the temporary >> No, this one goes out. We got to get that one in there.
>> I knew what you meant.
>> Um, but I mean, if I really wanted to, I can get this one set up in the dry and take all the charge over and have that one easier to carry.
>> But it potato, we got it all set up.
We're going to be running on this uh temporary pool sump with that drum filter right there. And then my plan after the new drum filter comes in, we have no use for for that drum. We can put it on that 4,000, it's really not being used to its potential. Where it can be used to its full potential is the KON, >> right?
>> That thing can handle 10,000 gallons of water per hour. Okay.
>> So, we >> let's get the particulates out of the toy pine >> essentially lose the uh filter boxes and bypass the wet wetland if we want to. We can >> I would the outlet into them.
>> I would just use the two washer the way they are and take the pump from the overflow and turn it up to its fullest and run right to the the drum filter.
Right. Right. you know, back in. We can bypass the wetland filter, put a small pump on that from the bottom of the water over to the wetland and just run it through it.
>> Yeah. Well, >> or do the same on the drum filter, a big pump in the water, run it to the drum directly back, leave everything else the way it is until it clears up.
>> Yeah. Well, that's my my plan. After we're done with this, it's going to go out to the quant.
>> Cool.
>> So, should be good.

>> Do you guys see him?
turn back towards me. You guys seen how easy this tank dank was getting. You can see on camera every time it needed a water change. It has been five days since I put this filter box on and it is keeping it crystal clear. So, I'm going to run that for about two 3 weeks and then we're going to start pulling off these FX filters.
Now, in doing all that, we had to stop and take a break. We got FX5 things that go over the fish tank to hold these down in because that tape kept, you know, they they'd pull out of the tape and then all of a sudden be splashing up top here. So, then I've got one clamp to the board and it goes down in about a foot and I've got this one going in this one.
It goes in down and and goes this way.
So, they're clamped on now. I no longer have to rely on the tape holding it up.
And uh I'm going to go get a zip tie and zip tie all the way around both of these to that board and tighten that up. And uh maybe another type of clamp, but I'm going to put it on with screws. So, we got that fixed. No more splashing, no more leaking down here on the bottom.
So, that's we spent the day today planning and doing things to figure out how to get this sump done and how we're going to get the new filtration in there. I already know how I'm going to do the plants. We're going to cut it all off all the way around. All this going that way and all this plants up here is going to die.
So, we're going to lift it out by there's a inch and a half styrofoam and then every 6 in is plants going through and then uh roots about 2T down. We're going to lift that whole thing out and put it into this, you know, sump once we get it fixed. So, we're actually we're going to have to take it out of there and put it into this pool because we got to place this sump back against the wall now. So, we're going to have a lot of work to do there. But that stuff can't be on our way. We have to get this whole 800gallon tub out of here, the sock table, all that stuff. It's all got to go. So, the plants will regrow. We'll be fine with that.

We're going to try and get this done in as fastest way possible.
Like, you know, start it and maybe two weeks later be done. But, uh, I just wanted you guys to know we got the back deck back to normal. We got the side of the house back to normal. We got Oh, I got a little bit more work to do out there. I got to take down that blue tent yet and move the trailer back to the backyard. Stuff like that. But, uh, we're getting I got the kitchen back to normal and the dining room and then Oh. Oh, I didn't even show you all the stuff I just picked up for Allora. Her birthday was 2 days ago and I got her a bunch of Legos and a bicycle and all that. We put the bicycle together and it's in Joshy's trunk now. He's taking that home. I should have taken video of that and showed you. But let me take you downstairs and show all Laura's new um Barbie stuff.
Okay, so now I get to reclaim my dining room except for the trains. That's the next project to start. And then I'll have my dining room table back.
I need if anybody close by needs a Hoyer lift. Everybody keeps telling me put them up and say I don't want to sell them. I don't need them. So, I'm keeping one just in case we need one. And I'm going to give the other one away. So, if anybody needs it, please let me know.
