When a trading card reprint arrives, the market price typically drops initially as supply increases, but then gradually rises again as the limited supply is depleted and collectors recognize the scarcity, creating a predictable price cycle that can be tracked through sales volume and listing data.

THE OP13 REPRINTS ARE HERE... What This Means For Prices
Added:Hey guys, welcome back to another video.
In this video, we're going to be talking about OP13. Guys, the reprint is actually here now.
A couple of my stores locally have been getting very little amounts though. One store I knew only got five boxes, another store I got I knew only got one box, and then another store I know only got like five to 10 boxes. So, it seems like the reprint is very very small, at least to some of the the LGS's I know.
Let me know what you guys have experienced. And as far as I know, they got their box either today or last Friday. So, your local stores might have some as well. If you want to go check and see what they're selling it at. Some of some of mine I know are selling them for like 500 with the seal intact, and then another store is doing it for 250 without the seal, which is a really good deal.
If we look at TCGPlayer, another good indicator to know that a store is or a reprint has came is when TCGPlayer first off the price the market price will come down significantly. In this case, it's came down about 150 to 100 bucks cuz it was going for around like five 550 here recently or around 600. So, that's one good way to know. And then another good way to know is a a bunch of sellers have multiple boxes like NRG has 11, Hoover House has four. These are official stores. So, a lot of stores, a lot of new listings on here with with a decent amount of quantity. This seller has 17.
So, obviously some stores are getting more than others. But, we can see the market price is currently at $450, which I think it's not too bad. And often times what happens when a reprint comes is people expect the price to cry the price to crash. But, when it firstly originally the reprints come to market, that's when the price is usually at its lowest. And then as people start to buy them up, that's when the prices start to rise.
So, I think I think the lowest we'll see this is 400 to 450 right now. And then it'll just slowly go up over the next few weeks and months. If we look at the sale sales volume, looks like 36 boxes sold today, 62 sold yesterday, and 86 sold 2 days ago. So, a very healthy amount of sales. 125 sold on May 28th and 129 sold on May 29th, which is about a week ago as well. So, this might have been when other stores got some. So, a good amount of sales volume on this box still. Which is a great sign, but I'm honestly going to be looking to pick some of these up. I hopefully I can find them in person for like 450. If not, I'll have to order them online and pay some sales tax, but that's what my goal is. As we can see, obviously the red manga's prices aren't too affected. There's been no new listings of this card. The lowest is still 20,000 on that red manga Luffy.
5,300 on the Sabo. And then there's actually no listings, only one in Japanese on this Ace with no sales data there. So, it's it makes sense there's not a ton to market, but I would expect a lot of the alternate art cards maybe will start start to see those come down a little bit in price cuz I would expect that as people open packs more will come to market and then we'll probably see a lower price point than what we've seen the past few weeks. And then over time I think the price will come back up cuz that supply will start to run out and there's no more confirmed reprints of OP 13. This might be the last that we get of these boxes. We have the Shanks gold SP here going for 1,500 lowest listed.
And then one for 1,600 with eight listings there.
We have the Ace manga going for 1,300 with about 10 listings right there. And then we have the Shanks silver SP going for around 1,400 with only three listings, super low listings.
Only one seller here for 1,300 and then a PSA 10 for 1,750. So, this Shanks silver SP is in very very low supply. We have the Sabo manga here currently 12 listings all for around 775.
And then we have the Demon God pack, one of them listed here for around 489 with 14 listings of this card. Then it jumps up to 497 and 52520.
So there should be more Demon packs coming to market to as well. The Luffy wanted poster, which is pretty low. This one has came down from $475.
Currently lowest is 336 and 340 with 22 listings. And then we have the Luffy SP going only going for 335. What's that?
$574 at one point. So down like $240.
Lowest listed here is 335, 340, 340, and then 392, and then 400 with 21 listings.
So it'll be interesting to see how many come to market. Looks like the sales volume six sold from June 1st to the 5th, 12 sold that week, and then 10 sold, and then 15. So it'll be interesting to see how many more of these come to market. I can't imagine a ton will just cuz it doesn't seem like the reprint was super massive. So maybe we see a couple more listings, but overall I think once people realize this reprint isn't that big, some of these cards will start to bounce back up in price. After but I expect them to go down a little bit for like maybe the next week two three weeks. And then we should start to see a bounce back.
That's typically what happens, but you never know in this market.
We have the Ace SP here was going for 268. Now lowest listed is 131 with 28 listings. The Ben Beckman SP, this one was going for around 122, then came like half off at $60. Now looks like lowest listed is around 84 with 19 listings of that card. We have the Smoker SP. This one was at 96, came down to 64, and now it's back up a little bit closer to $80 with 23 listings there.
Really nice SP honestly. I like this card a lot. I might even think about picking this up cuz I do have the Sabo SP and I think this one looks pretty nice as well. Anyways, the Sabo SP has been bouncing back a little bit. This one was going for like 73, not too long ago. Looks like 16 copies sold from May 25th through the 31st.
So, more than these other weeks. Was going for 188 at one point. Now, lowest listed is currently 88, 89, 90. So, this card has actually been bouncing back.
So, maybe we haven't seen any of these come to market yet. 17 listings of the Sabo. We have the Luffy parallel. I hope this card comes down. If I see this in a window for around 50 to 70 uh hopefully like 60 uh I'm going to be picking this up cuz at one point this was 163, then came down to 73, and then has been rising up a little bit closer to 90. Hopefully with these new reprints, we see this card start to come down cuz it's only a parallel. So, this is a more common card that they'll see in boxes. Currently 35 listings all for around 89.
So, hopefully this comes down a little bit and that'll that'll be my window of opportunity to pick it up.
Next, we have the Luffy treasure rare.
This one was going for around 30 133, came down to 35, now it's back up a little bit to 70. Was it like 75 a few days ago? So, now it looks like lowest listed is closer to 71 with 27 listings.
We have the Lilith SP. This one was going for 93, came down to 65, now lowest listed is around 72 with 21 listings on that card.
I don't expect the SPs to change too much in price cuz those are still harder to pull. Less of those will come to market. But, the parallels and alternate arts, I expect those to come down a little bit. But, we could also see movement on SPs, too.
This one was going for 24 in March. It's just been steadily going up to around 56. Now, it's looks like it's pulled back a little bit around 52 with 41 listings there. We have the Ace, Sabo, and Luffy. This one was going for 40, came down to 30. Now, it's right in the middle at around 35 with 37 listings. We have the Boa Hancock. This one was going for around 47, dropped down to 13. So, like a fourth of the price of what it was. And and it came up to 24. now it's around that $21 price point with 77 listings. So, looks like more listings of this card have come to market and we could even see more.
Um, next we have the Ace uh, parallel card.
This one was going for around 73, uh, dropped down to 21 and now it's around $24 with 76 listings. So, we could see this card come down a little bit, uh, but it's already at like 20 to $25. I don't expect it to go to five or anything. Uh, maybe like down to $20 is what I would anticipate.
>> [snorts] >> Uh, we have the Sabo parallel. This one was going for 47 and now it's around 24.
It looks like lowest listed is around 27. Uh, with 46 listings. We have the Shanks alternate art.
This one was going for 19, came down to eight, now it's back up around 16 with 24 listings. So, pretty low supply on this alternate art card, uh, in my opinion. Next we have the Stussy alternate art.
This one was climbing up a little bit, but it looks like more have come to market here. Was going for 30, uh, came down to 14, then ran up to around 18.
Uh, now lowest listed is around 16 to $17 with 50 listings of this card. So, this is a card I I I would expect to come down a little bit. Uh, and then lastly we have the Gol D. Roger alternate art. This one was going for around $41, uh, then it's still been around $15. Uh, now lowest listed is like 17 with 66 listings there. Uh, so it'll be interesting to see where all these cards go. Uh, it'll be interesting to see like in months and years from now when we know this was the reprint, uh, we can look back and see, okay, what how did these cards perform? How did the booster box perform? Uh, and my guess is the booster box will uh, be cheap for maybe a week to three weeks and then after that point it will start to slowly go up, uh, once people realize that the supply isn't infinite. Uh, and it honestly could make dramatic changes, but we'll have to see how long that takes, uh, for the market. Uh, and it'll be interesting to see how these cards perform. Some of the alternate arts, uh, some of the SPs, uh, cuz now is basically the official reprint of OP013.
So, that's all I have for this video.
Let me know what you think about OP 13 reprints, if you've been able to pick any up, uh some of the cards you're looking at in this set, and that's all I have for this video. I'm out.
