Mark Levin “Nobody Can Comprehend What’s About To Happen In Iran…”

[00:00:00]I've to say, really, Mark Levin is one of those few people out there that can just say things, particularly around geopolitics, so plainly and so clearly.

[00:00:11]And right now, there's all kinds of concerns about the Iran war. People talking about how Trump is basically thinking, you know, yes, the MOU failed, but this is just so complicated, and and he's just trying to diffuse things.

[00:00:25]Maybe that's one angle. He's worried about the economic fallout of, you know, if if if Iran, uh, basically stops the the Strait of Hormuz or stops the flow of oil, um, and so he's worried about that could devastate the global economy.

[00:00:39]And, you know, balancing that with trying to stop Iran from rebuilding, reacquiring nukes, all that kind of thing. And plenty of people out there saying, "Look, this just has to be managed. It has to be They they need to go back to the diplomacy table." And Mark Levin reminding us so, uh, powerfully, being one of those voices that's making it clear, there cannot be any movement from the imperative, from the objective of destroying this regime because, no matter what the cost, if this regime is allowed to rebuild, it will go back to trying to cause terror and seek a nuke, whether acquiring one, purchasing one, or just, uh, have building it themselves, and they will use it.

[00:01:28]And what what is worse than, and, you know, global nuclear war? It's just so clear-cut. And I want to explain to you and show you Mark Levin's arguments here cuz I think they need to be heard. And then I'll give you some, uh, further comments. [00:01:50]>> President Reagan said the following. We in America have learned bitter lessons from two world wars.

[00:01:57]It is better to be here ready to protect the peace than to take blind shelter across the sea, rushing to respond only after freedom is lost.

[00:02:08]We've learned that isolationism never was and never will be an acceptable response to tyrannical governments with an expansionist intent.

[00:02:17]>> Many isolationists opposed Reagan's foreign policy. Reagan rejected their criticism. In fact, he condemned it.

[00:02:23]Reagan rejected containment and detente.

[00:02:26]He saw it did not work. He sought to defeat the Soviet Union and its spread of communism, and he did so because he rightly believed that the Soviet Union was a grave threat to our country and our interests.

[00:02:40]So, he pushed back on multiple fronts and in multiple ways.

[00:02:44]He pushed back against many of the same opponents Donald Trump has right now.

[00:02:48]The Democrats, the media, the isolationists.

[00:02:51]President Reagan armed anti-communist freedom fighters against the Soviet Union through what was called the Reagan Doctrine, utilizing covert CIA operations, military training, and billions of dollars in weaponry.

[00:03:07]The administration's primary effort spanned several key regions.

[00:03:11]Afghanistan, the CIA secretly supplied the Mujahideen with billions of dollars in weapons, most notably shoulder-fired FIM-92 Stinger anti-aircraft missiles.

[00:03:22]And these weapons successfully neutralized Soviet air superiority, particularly targeting MI-24 Hind gunships, which changed the tide of the war and forced the Soviet withdrawal in 1989. Nicaragua, the US funded, trained, and armed the Contras to fight and destabilize the Marxist Sandinista government. Funding was covertly funded through CIA operations. And I know people will talk about Iran-Contra and so forth and so on. But, that was done to take out the communists in Nicaragua and Angola in Africa. The administration provided covert military support including Stinger missiles to the UNITA rebels fighting against the Soviet and Cuban-backed Marxist government. In Poland and many of the Eastern European countries, in addition to military aid for proxy wars, the CIA engaged in an extensive covert operation to supply the underground Solidarity labor movement with printing equipment, communication gear, and financial support destabilizing the Soviet-backed communist regime. And I could go on.

[00:04:29]Reagan rejected peaceful coexistence because he understood that communism was neither peaceful nor did it seek coexistence.

[00:04:40]It is about controlling countries, then continents, then the world. That's the ideology. The entire basis for the Cold War, Reagan argued, was faulted. It would lead to the defeat of the West and democracy over time. He said, "Communism cannot be contained. It must be defeated." And thanks to Reagan and his great partner, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher of England, Eastern Europe and the captive nations are free today. 300 million people were liberated. Some of our closest allies today were former Soviet puppet states.

[00:05:19]The Iranian regime also is a government based on an ideology of expansionism, totalitarianism, and is a grave threat to the West, to the Middle East, Israel and the Arab states, and Europe.

[00:05:37]But, mostly to the United States of America, our country. President Trump is the only president to recognize this and actually do something about it.

[00:05:47]Something big and heroic. But like the Soviet Union, the regime cannot be contained. In fact, its ideological fundamentalism is based on a religious fundamentalism, and it exists to conquer and destroy, not coexist.

[00:06:05]The Iranian regime cannot be successfully negotiated with, bought off with billions in funds and resources, or paper deals and agreements.

[00:06:14]The memorandum of understanding was never going to work. Never. No deal is ever going to work because of their ideology, not because of some secret influence campaign by the Israelis. What an outrageous smear.

[00:06:30]But because of the enemy, the Iranians.

[00:06:34]47 years of ripping up deals. 47 years of prolonged negotiations.

[00:06:39]It's called knowledge and rationality.

[00:06:43]And once you realize what we are dealing with, the only course is to defeat it.

[00:06:48]That's right.

[00:06:49]Defeat it. Not just militarily, but you have to pull it up by the roots. You have to destroy it.

[00:06:57]The isolationists among us, in and out of the administration, are very dangerous, albeit relatively a small group of ideologues of a different sort.

[00:07:08]They're not prudential. They're not rational. They insist that we stand down while our enemies are on the move. And like the Marxists, all they have are labels and slogans and smears. And like the Marxists, they attack our own country. They accuse our country of supporting forever wars. They accuse our country of being a warmonger and filled with warmongers.

[00:07:32]If we do not adopt aspects of the Reagan doctrine and incorporate them into the Trump foreign policy in dealing with Iran, we will not defeat that regime.

[00:07:43]And that regime will build nuclear weapons and intercontinental missiles.

[00:07:49]Not now, perhaps, but the next day, the next year, in 5 years.

[00:07:54]That's right.

[00:07:55]And they will use them.

[00:07:58]Because that's their ideology.

[00:08:00]People haven't read what these people say, what their scholars say, what Khomeini said in his little book, his little Mein Kampf, Islamic Government.

[00:08:09]What he says right here. This is their Bible, if you will. Unlike the old Soviet Union or today's Russia or Communist China, the ideology of the Iranian Islamist regime is based on the belief that Allah compels the annihilation of the West.

[00:08:27]And that dying in service of Allah is martyrdom.

[00:08:32]Mutual assured destruction is not a deterrent.

[00:08:36]So, how do we eliminate the regime?

[00:08:39]Well, there's some things we haven't tried for some reason.

[00:08:43]First, rather than pushing away Israel, we didn't push away Thatcher, we didn't push away Churchill. Rather than pushing away Israel and Netanyahu, we should embrace their military. We should embrace their intelligence expertise in the region, as we did early in this war.

[00:08:59]Regardless of what the Arab states and Turkey and Pakistan think or what they want, it is in our national security interest to end the Iranian regime as fast as we can, period. Just as Reagan worked with Thatcher, we must continue to work with Netanyahu. He is a strength.

[00:09:19]He is a strength.

[00:09:21]Second, our focus should include training, arming, and assisting Iranian opposition groups, as I have said for months, to fight the regime from within that country. The regime fears this most, more than they fear us, which is why it has executed tens of thousands of Iranians and continues to execute anyone who dares to even speak against them.

[00:09:45]Unless and until we seriously address the internal security apparatus, which we cannot do at 35,000 and 40,000 ft with bombers and jet fighters, that is namely the Iranian Republican Guard Corps, the regime will not be defeated.

[00:10:06]The people of Iran are an enormous asset and liberation movement waiting to be supported.

[00:10:13]These are brave people. They number in the millions and many of the families there have every reason to take retribution on this regime.

[00:10:24]Anyone who advises the president that this should not or cannot be done, in my view, should be replaced with military and intelligence leaders who can and will get this done.

[00:10:38]This is the way we're going to defeat the regime.

[00:10:41]Not MOUs, not deals, not statements that, well, there are moderates and they regret their last 47 years. You know what that tells me? A complete lack of understanding of what we're dealing with.

[00:10:55]And I am incredibly proud that our president is taking it to the regime, that he's leading this righteous and noble war for peace against terrorism, despite the isolationists, despite the Democrat Party, despite the quislings in Europe.

[00:11:10]The Arab monarchs and the Middle East dictators should be told that we will do what we must do, whether they like it or not. Either join us or get out of the way.

[00:11:20]In the end, they will benefit greatly from what we are doing.

[00:11:25]And for those who out there saying, "Israel's all by itself.

[00:11:30]It's isolated.

[00:11:33]That they went forever wars.

[00:11:37]These are horrible horrible slanders and lives against that country and our allies. 9 million people 7 million of whom are Jewish, surrounded by a quarter of a billion individuals, many of whom want to destroy them.

[00:11:53]This type of propaganda is to me utterly unacceptable. There's a great piece in Real Clear Politics is Israel actually more isolated than ever by Rich Goldberg and Roger Scruton. Brilliant men, experts.

[00:12:06]And they point out Israel has new alliances with, strong alliances with, diplomatic alliances with, and now military alliances with Argentina Bolivia Chile, Colombia, the Conservative Party of Canada, the British Tories, Slovenia Germany India's Modi. In fact, military delegations have been sent to Israel to buy equipment to gather intelligence from India and Germany, from Canada, Britain, France, Morocco, Finland, Greece, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Estonia, Japan, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia all came to Israel to learn from its military battlefield lessons and innovations.

[00:12:58]Even as some of its political leaders blast Israel in public they work with them in private. American conservatives should be buoyed by Israel's rising stock among conservatives worldwide. And polling suggests support remains rock solid in the United States, despite the propaganda you're hearing from some.

[00:13:18]Recent survey conducted by the Reagan Institute found 80% of MAGA Republicans think Israel's security matters to the United States security and prosperity, including 63% of those under 30. Over 70% of mega Republicans also support sending weapons to Israel, while 60% of Democrats oppose arming Israel. And then that vote last week about cutting off aid to Israel, every Republican but that reprobate Massie voted no, we don't support that.

[00:13:49]Half the Democrats said yes, we do support it. But that in part is due to this growing hideous anti-Semitism in the Democrat Party, and one day they're going to pay a price for that.

[00:14:01]Because Americans are not anti-Semitic.

[00:14:03]Not red-blooded patriotic Americans, no way.

[00:14:07]>> So I think Mark Levin is crystal clear and he's absolutely right. That number one, containment does not work. Israel learned that with Hamas in Gaza. They tried for over a decade containment.

[00:14:18]Look what happened. Uh we tried that prior to World War II.

[00:14:22]Just contain Germany, appease, blah blah, diplomacy. See, I have a letter in my hand of peace, Neville Chamberlain said. Look what happened. Same thing here. Containment cannot work. As tricky as this is, we can't just say, well, you know, it's just going to cost so much uh economic fallout that we just have to walk away. That is delaying a problem, but we've learned all too well that containment in the end comes back to bite you. And then he says some specific, I think some really important points about how that can be done.

[00:14:50]Number one, start embracing your closest allies.

[00:14:53]Enough with this stupid debate in America about is Israel bad for us or that.

[00:14:57]It's very clear that Israel is the most essential ally and they share a common enemy.

[00:15:03]And Iran's common enemy is America and Israel. And they want to deal with Israel first and then America. And there is so much to gain from joint military and intelligence cooperation. Secondly, I think yeah, doing all you can to support internal opposition. There was a very disturbing story that uh Israel was planning on uh uh arming Kurdish forces to go in and overtake take over the the the Iranian regime.

[00:15:30]And uh um J.D. Vance supposedly leaked it to Erdogan. That's just a report. I can't confirm the specifics. It's a report out there. If that's the case, that is deeply alarming.

[00:15:41]Uh and either way, I think it makes a huge amount of sense of empower the opposition them to take over and and help them, especially if it's So, it's not your troops having to do this, but the people that you know, other people.

[00:15:52]By the way, even if even if it does mean having to uh use Israel's own troops, America's, whatever.

[00:16:01]And people say that's just completely unthinkable. Well, again, what is the alternative?

[00:16:06]Surely the idea of Iran rebuilding getting nukes, that's even more unthinkable.

[00:16:11]And as he concludes, diplomacy with this fundamentalist evil regime is never a good idea.

[00:16:19]But specifically here, they need to be, as he said, pulled up by the roots rather than managed through diplomacy because this is not a regime that wants is acting like a rational actor.

[00:16:32]They want the apocalypse. They want the afterlife.

[00:16:35]And that is governing their behavior.

[00:16:38]And uh if that's not understood, then well, everything flows from that.

[00:16:44]And so, that's why we're so keen on this channel to keep dismantling the lies and the myths that we're hearing even from people in high office like J.D. Vance.

[00:16:52]They you know, ultimately we want diplomacy. I know ultimately we both want the best for each you know, we both want the best for our countries. No, that is not the right way.
