But this first topic, we're going to talk about how Tesla has finally released, has maybe finally admitted to a known issue that the brand new Tesla Model Y has had. I've heard it. I've heard it on both of our Tesla vehicles. I even heard it on our Laner vehicle today. And this might be the fix to make it a lot less uh less clunky. We'll give it that. So, we're going to get into that, plus a variety of topics. But before we do that, let's roll that intro really quick.

[00:02:09]We'll give you the full details. Uh, but more on that later. Tesla has finally maybe admitted to a known issue to the Tesla Model Y, the brand new Model Y, the Juniper Tesla Model Y, of a front suspension clunking noise that has been happening for a bit. I actually heard it on my launch series Model Y, and I heard it on our Model Y performance as well.

[00:02:30]It doesn't bother me as much, but if you are looking to buy a Model Y, this is something you need to be aware about. If you've already owned a Model Y, like a lot of you already have picked up one, you should also be aware of this. Shout out to Nick for posting this and finding this because this is actually pretty old. And I can't believe this got slipped through and has lasted because this was actually posted on May 8th, which is actually pretty funny to see here. It looks like Tesla has recently released service bulletins to address the common Juniper Model Y front suspension noises that have people have been complaining about. And this has been well documented in the forums and I guess Tesla, you know, you have to you have to leave it to Tesla because they do have to kind of like vet some of these different things and try and figure out what is the actual known issue and replace certain parts before they can release it companywide or nationwide so that people can actually fix it. But here's the condition. So you might be hearing this yourself. Certain Model Y vehicles may emit a rattling or knocking noise when driving over bumps or rough road. The condition can be improved by replacing the front upper control arm mounts, replacing the front damper assemblies, and removing the wiper bracket and pencil braces. This document is for vehicles that have already had the front upper control mounts replaced and the wipeway bracker pencil braces removed. So, this is if you don't know where this is coming from, it's actually for me I when I notice it, it's coming from like the left side, driver side, the front area, wheel area, and you'll hear it kind of make like this knocking noise like a kind of like that noise. It's It's very very subtle. You have to really listen to it and uh it doesn't necessarily bother bother me too much, but you can hear it. If like windows are up and volume and music is all the way down, then you might be able to hear it.

[00:04:09]Here's the second one, which is the replace suspension components. Quote, "Some Model Y vehicles may emit a rattling or knocking noises when driving over bumps or rough road. The condition can be improved by releasing the front armor control arm mounts, replacing the front damper assemblies, uh and removing the wiper bracket pencil braces. it seems like seem like the same between the two of them. But of course, there's different parts that are is the for for the correction here on how it actually is done here. So, if you've got this issue, how you can address it, it's pretty simple actually. If you feel like you have the issue, you can try and record a video and when you open that service ticket, you can actually put in the Tesla service bulletin number. So, this first one is SB2631003 and the second one is SB2531005.

[00:04:56]And that will help your advisor, that will help the technicians try and see because you got to think about there's so many different bulletins probably out there and a lot of different knowledge and if you help them point them in the right direction, then maybe they will be able to be able to get you set up and fix for your Tesla vehicle uh much quicker than uh before. And so certainly very interesting to see this. And so if you're looking to be upgrading from your older vehicle to this one, you should definitely be aware of some of these different things. All in all, the new Model Y is pretty much like very good.

[00:05:25]There's no other known issues, no big issues. Suspension, which I mean, they made the suspension a lot better. So, I'm okay with a little here and there, a little bit of noises if the suspension is just so much more comfortable like it has been over the older one. I mean, speaking of older ones, if you're looking to sell your older Tesla, your older electric vehicle, definitely check out Plug down below in the description.

So, it does feel like at certain times there is more noises that you can hear, but um you know, certainly it's just because it's a lot more quieter that we all are got like a better ear for listening uh to some of the different noises in there.

Thomas, I sent the service bulletin to Tesla service for my 2026 Model Y performance and they said they won't perform the fix because my VIN is not part of the affected VINs, but my car has the issue. Yeah, that's one of those things where what my advice would that for that would be is to go to Tesla service or open a ticket and try and record the noise on a video and then send that video to them. Then it's like what what can you do? There's nothing if if it's in proof then there's nothing that can be done. and then they have to fix your your vehicle. That's what I would do. Uh because you have to send them proof to be able to do you can't just say like oh like here's the Bolton.

[00:12:47]Can you fix it? You have to prove to them that there is an issue. Can Tesla actually deny to inspect and fix if a VIN is not listed on the effective VIN a part of Bolton? Okay. Yeah. Sorry. I guess I read your messages out of order.

[00:12:56]That's what I would do to make sure that uh they're you're perfectly set up. We got this fixed last week. Costco deals.

[00:13:05]That's my one concern. like if they do all these different replacement parts and then the clunking comes back because that would be no bueno for sure. Any major updates coming for the Model Y in late 2026 and early 2027? What are you hearing? Wade, I'm hearing absolutely nothing because Model Y has already been updated with the black headliner and the 16-in screen. So, I would imagine they're not going to do anything for another year or two. But, at the same time, Tesla does like doing like small things here and there that we might not actually see. uh on the back end. So maybe that's could be the case uh with that.

[00:13:41]Okay, so I know we we I know we got to 67 likes, but I feel like uh I'm not doing the a good service if uh we didn't give everybody a chance because we got Nightbot was launched a little bit later. [00:14:08]In this next topic, Rivian R2 deliveries have begun. Rivian just made an announcement and we've got more spottings of Rivian R2s being delivered to showrooms. So, you might be a happy camper if you're looking to get one of these. Rivian posted this uh June 9th is the big day. Funny 69 June 9th R2 officially launches. Order invitations begin. customer delivery start demo drives open at all Rivian spaces. This makes sense because yesterday we were seeing a lot of these Rivians being trucked to delivery spaces. So, they're probably getting uh ramped up to try and do some delivery uh demo deliveries or demo drives of the Rivian R2. So, I'm actually really excited to drive this vehicle. Not because of like the differences in the software or anything like that or autonomy versus full self driving. I just want to see is it actually more comfortable. And I have a hunch it actually will be more comfortable than a Model Y Juniper. Now don't get me wrong, I love my Model Y's and Junipers and performance or whichever. But uh if it's more comfortable, maybe maybe it might be a good contender. We can see lots of photos here. All the different colors.

[00:15:10]Very cool to see them. I mean, Rivian colors are definitely a really nice vibe uh with that off-road aspect. Uh for sure. So shout out to uh Jose and all the different people that posted about the Rivian R2. But here's a little bit of a synopsis. R2 orders on June 9th. In invites go to rolling batches starting on June 9th. R1 orders owners get accelerated timing. So if you own a Rivian already, then of course you're going to be able to get one a lot sooner. Demo drives start on June 9th.

[00:17:40]And this next topic, Starlink has now launched on American Airlines. This brings a lot of different American airlines uh to the list here that actually has Starlink. If you've not tried Starlink on the an your own flight, it is kind of a gamecher and it really makes you not want to try any other flights without stable fast internet service like Starlink. American Airlines announced it. It seems like it's coming in 2027, which maybe like next year, but still really cool to see.

[00:18:05]Some of the roll out has been a little bit slow, but there's a lot of different American airlines. American comes in coming to the play here at Southwest United and of course the full list Hawaiian Airlines and all these other different uh flight plans that you can get it on as well. But certainly really cool to see this and uh um of course the Delta is not on the list and neither is JetBlue because they went with Amazon's version. [00:21:04]In this next topic, Tesla full self driving actually slowed down for a police speed trap or maybe just slowed down for police. We've got video proof here. Very cool to see this actually documented in a handful of different places. is you can see there is a visible cop right here in the middle.

[00:21:21]Don't know if he's actually in a speed trap, but hey, this might mean like driving on full self driving. If you're on MadMax and the Tesla notices that they're a cop and it slows down, that could be a very, very, very cool feature. Here's a live video we can see here. Uh, this person G was going 74 miles an hour. And then upcoming here on the left side is going to be a police that's super well hidden. You can't even see it in any sort of way angle. So, I don't even know how the cameras actually saw it. You can see it's right there. a mysterious vehicle and the vehicle slowed down to 72 mph. Now, we don't know if this was a slowdown because of that construction sign there, but of course, we've got more proof as well.

[00:21:57]Homemar's catalog posted another video here in which he was probably speeding down some area and it was going about 78 79 mph and it slowed down to 76 75. Now, I don't know if this is actually police.

[00:22:09]This might be because of that vehicle pulling to the intersection and then full self-driving is like hey waiting like hey wait is this person going to cross or anything like that but still either way I'm down for the vehicle slowing down because none of us need more tickets uh than uh zero. So really cool to see this and let us know what your thoughts on it. Let us know what you're thinking.
