South Norfolk Has Some of the Lowest Burglary Rates in Britain

[00:00:00]We we're talking positively this morning. Let's bring bring Ben Goldstone back into it, the Labour MP for South Norfolk. Do does this reflect what what your constituents are telling you, Ben?

[00:00:08]Do Do they Do they feel safe in South Norfolk in terms of of burglary levels?

[00:00:12]>> They do. And I think it just to echo what's been said, this is down to two factors. And it is we have a very good police force within Norfolk. And the thing I want to give a massive shout-out and praise is my neighborhood beat officers. Um having people that are named that you can go to, that you can approach, that you see on the street as well, it's the one thing that my constituents have wanted for a very long time. And now to have it does make a difference in deterrence, but also in just making people feel more you know, at ease within their own communities.

[00:00:44]But the other thing is it is the neighborhood watch teams, is those community village support teams and everything like that. It does build that cohesion within our society, which means that things such as burglary and other crimes which are it is the ones that are really hate, but we have they called low-level crimes. Those ones are tackled very very effectively because people know what's going on and they look out for each other.
