Robot distance measurement systems like Limelight can achieve reasonable accuracy (within a few centimeters) even at angles, but physical disturbances such as shaking, rotating the device, or bending its aluminum mount will significantly reduce measurement precision.

How Robots Measure Distance #robotics #vision #limelight追加:
were to measure across the floor here, and up at about 143, and this is measuring about 143.7.
So, actually pretty darn accurate. And I measure about 129, and I'm getting about 128.2 on this one. I'm looking about 123, and I'm pushing out about 122.5.
Now, again, you're not going to get absolute accuracy, plus or minus 1 cm, but this is still pretty accurate even at angles, and that's good enough for most of the distances that we need. Now, if you are able to shake and rotate your limelight or bend the aluminum mount that it is on, that is also going to significantly change your accuracy.
