Successful relocation back home requires careful financial planning, including building multiple income streams and investments, fulfilling family responsibilities like children's education and mortgage obligations, establishing a clear purpose to avoid boredom, and taking time to learn from others' experiences to make wise decisions rather than rushing the process.

The Real Reason I Haven't Moved Back Home Yet
Added:Hello beautiful people. Welcome back to the channel. You know, many people have been reaching out to me. People are asking me, "Oh, Maria, why are you still in the UK? Why are you still in uh in abroad? Why you haven't relocated back home? I thought you said you want to relocate back home." And the reason why they are asking me these questions why I'm still in in abroad because recently I posted a video where I shared about my exit planing to relocate back home and also in this channel I'm encouraging African diasporans to relocate back home. Um looking at um retirement planning looking at um how you can succeed to relocate back home. So because I'm still here in the UK, so people get confused why I am still here.
So today I am going to share with you maybe just five valid reasons why I am still here in the UK. So the number one reason is I don't want to return broke back home because I have watched a lot of videos of people who have relocated back home with confidence. Some people have built mansions, big beautiful houses, but just in the space of 6 months, one year, all their savings, all the money they went with will just dry up or finish up and then sometimes even to maintain their lifestyle, they find it very difficult.
Sometimes they can't afford even simple lifestyle. So basically when you look at that you can't just move back home just like that. You need to plan well at least you need to have a house. You need to have an investment that can bring cash flow and also if possible is just create multiple streams of income just in case if one investment doesn't work out maybe another one will work out for you. So by creating multiple source of income I think that would be a very successful planning. So that is one of the reasons why I'm delaying my relocation back home. And the number two reasons as well is I just wanted to build slowly. For example, in this channel, I've already shared with you my event center that will be like my investment. But due to the funding, the lack of funding, we have to prepare ourself building the event center gradually, slowly, stages by stages. I know it will take a longer time for us to finish the event center due to the lack of funding, but that is another way of building a financial freedom and is very safer because you got to be in control on how your building project is progressing. And the number three reason why I'm still here in the UK, why I am delaying my relocation back home is family responsibilities.
Don't forget that if you're living in abroad, you still have your family. You still have your priorities. If you have younger childrens who are still going to school, you still need to give them that that opportunity for them to finish their schooling. If they are in secondary school, you need to give them that opportunity for them to complete their education. Then you can now think of how you can move back home. And also don't forget if you have a mortgage to pay for here, you have to pay for your mortgage and you have to work very hard in order for you to pay for that mortgage. And what about your job as well? Don't forget you're still in a in the workforce. You have to you don't just get up like that in your workforce and then go. You need to put management plan in place. How you going to um finish off with your work? If there's any pensions arrangement, all those things you need to consider consider those things before you can move back home. So that's one of the reason why I'm still delaying because I'm still on the workforce and also I still have a a mortgage to pay for and you can't just quit your job just like that and say oh you're retiring back home. What about your pension? So what about the hard work? Because I've been here for the past 21 years. What about all those work I've done so far since living in the UK and I can't afford to um forfeit all those pension or benefits from working.
So this is another reason why I'm delaying to return back home just to put plan in place to plan very very well before the day will come. And the number four reasons why I'm still delaying moving back home is I needed a purpose to relocate back home. Like for example, when you're here in abroad, you know you have a routine life. You are going to work and then at the end of the month you are expecting something coming to your to your bank account which is your salary. You know there's a routine there going to work on a everyday basis. It depends how your work pattern is. But now let me just say for example okay I decided to relocate back home and I am back home now and then I woke up early in the morning and then I start asking myself what then what will be the day like what am I going to be doing what's the purpose what is the purpose of me being here in Africa because retirement without a purpose if you decided to re to relocate back home you don't have a purpose It can be very very boring. It's a boredom. And I've seen so many people who have relocated or who have retired without a purpose. They ended up going back to the workforce. And that is what I am trying to avoid. Me seeing myself if I retired coming back to the workforce. H no no no no no. That's not an environment I want I want to go back to. if I decided to retired, it's not an environment I'm going back to. Because when you retired and then you now decided to go back to the to the workforce, then you are looking at your your end end of life. [laughter] You're looking at a countdown of your end of life. So that is an area I wanted to avoid. So this is why I am planning gradually like I said I've already shared my purpose of what I am going to what I will be doing for the day and even when I'm there is another purpose I will be doing just besides the event center like I'm growing my own food those are the things I will keep on because it's already on the back of my mind like being self-sufficient busy in the garden keep myself busy on a daily basis why I'm still having investment that will be generating cash flow for us.
Now let us look at the number five reasons why I am still delaying my relocation back home. I just wanted a piece of mind not pressuring myself or trying to please everybody or trying to impress anyone. I just wanted peaceful living. So when you rush things, there's always a tendencies for making mistakes.
But when you do things gradually, you put things in place in the right order.
You start gradually by looking at your um family as well because don't forget you have your family.
You have to come into in agreement when to move, when will be the right time. So you can't just get up and say I'm moving back home. You have to always remember that you have responsibilities here in abroad. So you have to be in line with your family to make a decision that okay, this is the date that we are moving. We know that we've got everything planned because this is our journey. This is our journey and we want to move back home feeling at peace.
Feeling like everything has been fulfilled before then you can now say if I'm back home you know you won't have any regret of relocating back home because you've already put things in place and systems are already working for you. So when you're there, you know you're not starting a fresh. You are there now to continue what has already been building for you. You know, I have learned a lot from people who have relocated back home. Especially those who who delay the process for relocation back home. Delaying the process for going back home is it doesn't make you being like you are afraid to go back home. Sometimes delaying your move back home is a wisdom because it will give you a length of time to make wise decision because when you're delaying the process to go back home, it makes you think logically. It makes you become very wise. It makes you think of all decisions. Sometimes you even um watch other people who have relocated back home all their success. You learn from there. that will make you make better decisions because moving back home is one of the biggest decisions that you will ever make in your life. So don't rush it. When you delay the process of going back home, you will have the chance to see a lot of people who have done it right and also a lot of people who have made some mistakes. then you will learn from those mistakes and see how you can make a better decision for your relocation planning. So when people are asking me why I am still here in the UK, why I haven't relocated back home like I said on my videos, well I am not rushing. I want to prepare very well and when the time comes then I will know that I am ready to go. like I posted on this video where I shared the 10 signs that shows that you are actually ready to move back home. So even on the 10 signs on this video, it already shows that we are closer for moving back home because we've almost achieved all these 10 signs. So we are getting closer to move back home. The dream is still there but we are not rushing it. So we are planning stages by stages because we wanted to be part of those people who have relocated back home and they are successful right now. So we want to be part of those numbers. I always have this belief which I continue to talk about in this channel that it is better for you to prepared before you relocate back home rather than you going back home too early without you being prepared. So that is my motto for today.
So thank you so much for watching and please don't forget to like, subscribe and share this video to someone who might benefit on today's topic. So I will see you on the next video. Take care now. Cuz knowing you was my love, loving you was my choice.
But having you in my [music] life is the biggest blessing.
I couldn't have it any other [music] way.
Not a single different day. [music] Every breath, every second, you're my [music] biggest blessing.
