When a stock consolidates within a defined price channel without significant news catalysts, it typically remains range-bound until a catalyst emerges; traders should watch for breakouts above resistance levels or breakdowns below support zones, with volume serving as a key confirmation indicator for potential trend changes.

DVLT - The Night Watch: Chronicles Of The Ticker #121 - [The March to Nowhere] - [6/10/26]
Added:Was the rest today preparing for the next leg up or for new lows yet to come?
Find out on tonight's episode of The Night Watch.
>> [music] [music] >> Welcome back, Watchman. Let's analyze.
The banner was raised over a battlefield ripe with exhaustion.
Without news or corporate decrees to rally the ranks, the armies engaged in a march to nowhere that consumed millions of shares but gained no ground.
And yet, beneath the stagnant surface, the line of defense held firm, refusing to yield a new low to the encroaching darkness of the abyss.
The campaign began under the starry sky of pre-market, with the vanguard establishing its position at 40 and 1/2 cents.
For over an hour, chaos unfolded in the narrow corridor between 40 and 41 cents before the defensive line faltered.
As dawn was approaching, downward momentum from 40 and 1/2 dragged the price lower, forcing the first major stand of today's floor of 39 cents by the first light of morning.
An early counteroffensive was repelled at 40 cents, sending the bullish troops back to defend the 39 cent line for a second time.
One final weak advance was halted just above 39 and 1/2 cents during the hour before main fight, leading to a slight retreat.
The opening bell rang out across the battlefield with the market positioned just below 39 and 1/2, triggering a drop to the 39-cent floor once more.
Here, the defenders executed their third and strongest defensive bounce of the day.
A shattering assault up to the gates below 41 cents that was met with a decisive rejection.
Retreat found temporary footing at 39 and 1/2 cents, spurring a secondary charge that was again broken just below the 41-cent gates.
A late morning fall back to just under 39 and 1/2 cents held, but the advance that followed was easily contained at 40 and 1/2 just before noon.
Shortly after midday, the line fluctuated, finding brief support just under 40 cents before launching a third valiant but futile assault on the 41-cent fortress in the early afternoon.
The inevitable retreat stabilized at 39 and 1/2 cents by late afternoon, and one final desperate attempt to reclaim 40 cents was cut down shortly before the final bell, forcing a quiet surrender.
The day ended precisely where it began, flat at 39 and 1/2 cents on volume that was but a fraction of our historic average.
The day's intense maneuvers yielded not a single inch of new territory.
We remain entrenched, watching the enemy camp and waiting for reinforcements.
Let's move to the window and view the battlefield.
All right, we can see that structure hasn't changed here on the daily.
We got our little tiny green doji that we got today.
That went both everywhere and nowhere.
Uh Yesterday I said that we were going to look for today to close above 45, and now we're going to be looking for it to close above 43.
If this was indeed the bottom of this leg, then we'll get that close above 43 tomorrow. We're going to definitely need more than what 19 million shares of volume.
Uh This doji is pretty much telling us that the consolidation here let's let's let's zoom to the hourly then we can see the uh we can see this in a better light.
Uh Okay, so ever since our bottom yesterday we've been in this sort of little channel here between 38 eight and just under 41.
Now, either one of two things is going to happen from here.
Tomorrow we may consolidate a little bit more.
But when we're done with that we're either going to move up to test this 43 cent supply or we're going to drop back down and bump our heads on it and come to 38, 37 and a half, something like that.
Uh It really depends on whether we can get some sort of catalyst which I do wouldn't expect on a Thursday.
That would probably be more towards the Friday or over the weekend for next week.
And then we'll just have to see what happens.
So let's get rid of this.
And we can move to uh we dive a little deeper to the candle of the day.
Let's get rid of this channel.
And we actually have three candles today.
The uh Both of the ladies chose their uh made their choice.
Today, both of the lady of the watch chose this tall giraffe right here.
She said she was proud of how tall it was and how how how much it reached into the heavens.
And her little sister chose this baby giraffe, she said, because it was cute.
Well, you know, I don't think I would base any tools or of trading activity on how cute the candle is, but you know, she's going to pick that one, who am I to say any different?
Personally, my choice for the candle was this here that we got to dip down to uh 39.5.
And we got a pretty good rejection that led to the uh the high of the day up here.
This third test of the 40.407.
Uh there was pretty high volume in this candle, which was not uh it wasn't the highest volume.
I think I think this this candle up here was the highest volume candle, but this was the second highest.
And uh if we look here, we marked this little 5-minute zone, and uh we can see that it dipped right down into it and rejected, which is what it's supposed to do.
So, kudos to you three candles, little trio here.
And uh we can move to the foreign lands.
And we will start with SAG, where my order is sitting.
And after oh, what, 2 weeks of having my order here, it was finally filled this morning with a nice little dip into demand and that instant rejection out of it.
It did uh it did bounce back down to the entry point later in the day.
And I didn't get to I got my first profit target hit right after the in the after hour session.
So, I banked a little bit off of that.
But, it finished pretty strong in after hours. And I'm expecting it to come back up and hopefully hit the second profit target tomorrow.
We'll look at that in a little in the ledger in just a minute.
But, uh let's go ahead and look at some of these other targets. We got L A S E which is just about ready to hit this demand zone.
And I had uh I had this set up for 12:01 risk to reward. It should be a pretty good set up.
But, I haven't decided uh and I'll have up until you know, I I got a little bit of time to decide whether I'm going to take this with what I have left in my account balance right now. I don't think I am.
I'm not really sure.
It's been It's been dropping pretty hard.
And this is still a valid zone. But, there's this other one here below it that uh I would be looking for if I could get my full capital deployed on the trade.
You know, it could very well turn out that this one's going to be the one that that shoots up. But, right now I have my my That's where I have my capital tied up in Sage.
So, if anybody's watching L A S E, there is this demand zone right here at uh 2180 and 195.
Now, we can go to K E L is still in the $5 area.
And I'm I'm still looking for the sub $5 entry. This daily zone is the one that I'm I have my eyes on.
If it comes down here, I'll probably get an entry in on it.
But until then, I'm just going to watch and see what happens. If it comes back up here and breaks over this $6 mark, it's more than likely that it'll break through this previous high. And come up to, you know, seven plus.
We'll have to see where that goes.
Now, we have uh QTEC.
We don't have a zone on QTEC. There's no real spot for it to bounce from.
It did have this little area of consolidation here.
Which it's already bounced out of one, two times.
And it's came right back down. And each time was lower.
So, I I don't expect it to hold. It's probably going to break lower.
I don't really have a good spot for an entry on this one.
And we can go to Net Capital, which has these two zones here below it. It's still consolidating in this uh 90 cents dollar range right here.
So, I would expect it to drop below. And if it's going to rise, it's going to drop below and probably hit this one to take out whatever stops are set up below.
And then it'll bounce.
Or it'll just take off from here.
And come maybe hit somewhere up here before we do the dollar eighty area before it comes back down.
Uh what else do we have? ABEV. ABEV.
ABEV is still not filling this gap.
But it's not It's not moving up, either.
It's done a little consolidation. It had a dip right here. Which it probably took out some stops and then it came right back up.
And uh I'm not really sure what to expect this.
I don't have much of a technical signal until it finishes We have finished this filling this gap or comes up to try and fill this one up here.
DDS is in this demand zone right here.
And it uh I'm disappointed with this one. This one is uh I really thought this was going to be a good move.
And it would have paid out a lot. It uh 12 to 1.
But uh got stopped out and I didn't see notice there's no real rejection coming out of uh coming out of this demand zone, so I'm not wouldn't put very much strength in it.
Still exists. It hasn't been invalidated yet. But you want to see some sort of action coming out of it and we did not get that.
All right, so let's go ahead and move to the ledger. We can look at the uh the SAG play.
I got my uh first profit target hit.
And I stopped moving up to my entry point. So if I do get stopped out, I won't I won't lose anything on this one. I have zero risk in this trade anymore.
And if my second one hits, I'll start netting a little bit more profit off of it.
I'm seeing this is uh Malays play. If I got in on this one at $2 with a 180 stop or uh Let's see. $2 with a 180.
I don't want to get a little under 200 shares.
And it it would end end being a good play if it hits and it works out perfectly, but very rarely do the trades work out perfectly, so I'm not I'm not going to take the 200.
If I could get my full account deployed towards it, I could make some good amount off of just one or two profit targets, but it I don't personally it's not going to be worth it for me to uh just take the 200 shares.
So, we're still up a nice 30 plus percent in the foreign lands account, and uh we'll see if we can hit some more targets on SEG tomorrow.
But, for now we can close out the session.
And uh please remember to smash that like button, ring the closing bell, subscribe to the channel, join the watch, follow along with the lady and myself as we journey through the foreign lands.
Drop me some comments below, let me know what you think about the potential of the bottom, and uh anything else that might be on your mind. If you got any questions, you can pop into the Discord. We got the free Discord. The link is in the description.
And uh yeah, until the end of all things, as always, the Night Watch stands forever.
