LIVE: Trump IN COLLAPSE…SAYS OPEN GATES OF HELL on IRAN!!

[00:00:00]This is a special edition of Ben on breaking news. I'm Ben Marcelis and this is your breaking news. Moments ago, Donald Trump posted the following. A photo of himself making a deranged and lunatic-like face. And it says, "Trump orders Sentcom to open the gates of hell after US troops killed launches strikes on Iran." Open the gates of hell. Now, when that statement was made a few days back, it wasn't actually attributed directly from Trump's White House or no one heard Donald Trump say that. And so, it was seen that maybe Israeli media or someone else claimed that Trump said that, but there was no statement anywhere of him actually using those words. But now, he's certainly endorsing the open the gates of hell. Now he's posting this while at the dignified transfer in Dover, Delaware, where four of our service members have returned as uh they were killed in this catastrophic and unlawful war that Donald Trump and Netanyahu got the United States into and that Donald Trump is escalating.

[00:01:16]Caroline Levit, Donald Trump's propagandist, reposted the message, "Open the gates of hell." And earlier today, Donald Trump discussed blowing up Iranian bridges and other civilian infrastructure near Thrron. That was one of Donald Trump's earlier posts. To which Iran responded, "We're not scared.

[00:01:40]We will be prepared in that case to blow up all of the infrastructure in the Middle East. Iran has already shown a remarkable ability to target the United States bases in the Middle East. one by one, picking off early detection radar systems, picking off the interceptor launchers, picking off the barracks, picking off the hangers where American planes are, picking off MQ9 Reapers, and the United States security umbrella in the region appears to not be working at all. Iran hasn't even launched any massive ballistic missile salvos yet.

[00:02:21]They've been doing them in clusters of 8 to 12 ballistics at a time with some Shahid drones and the US interception rate has only been about 20%. You contrast that to what's going on in Ukraine where it is about a uh 90% interception rate of the Russian uh ballistics. So, as Donald Trump escalates and threatens civilian infrastructure in Iran, MB Galabaf, Iran's parliament leader, posted the following. The equation of this war is clear. Either all or none. In a region where we do not sell oil, no one will sell oil. If our security is not insured, no infrastructure will be safe.

[00:03:03]And the security of the strait is in the absence of America forces. We have repeatedly said that the situation of the strait will not return to pre-war conditions. That's MB Galabaf, Iran's parliament leader, the lead negotiator uh with the United States in theou making it very clear Donald Trump's statements do not scare Iran at all.

[00:03:25]Iran's IRGC aerospace commander has also warned Iran is prepared to cut off all electricity of US regional allies if the United States strikes bridges or power plants in Iran. Uh the uh someone by the name of Professor Mandi who's on the Iranian negotiating team or was on the team also said if you do this Donald it's time to evacuate Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE.

[00:03:54]Earlier today we've seen the Houthis in Yemen um continue to enforce its blockade against Saudi tankers in the Red Sea effectively blockading the Babel Mandab Strait. We've seen uh oil prices now above $94 a barrel that will soon be hitting $100 a barrel. Military sources have told Taznim, that's the Iran State Agency, Iran will not abandon its firm resolve to control the strait, considers this control essential to its long-term safety of the strait. If the Americans target a bridge or a power plant in Iran, Iran will in turn strike infrastructure and bridges in the region, including energy facilities where the United States has interest.

[00:04:38]The American should have become fully aware in the past 10 days that Iran will target whatever it chooses. Therefore, any potential gamble by Trump will once again lead to uh disgrace. the US evacuating air bases in the region like in Aluded. The US is moving troops over to well, not moving troops, moving our equipment, military equipment, reapers, uh, airplanes to Israel because they have the Iron Dome that works there. But our troops remain sitting targets in these other Arab nation bases. The troops have not been moved to Israel.

[00:05:14]Trump has moved our equipment there because it's protected by the Iron Dome.

[00:05:18]and our troops appear to be in serious danger right now. Um, you take a look at the Aluded base in Qatar. It looks basically um abandoned uh right now from equipment. Um I I have I have some guests I want to bring in. First, I want to bring in Senator Tammy Baldwin, the great state of Wisconsin. I want to ask her about her reaction to all of this.

[00:05:47]I want to bring in Senator Tammy Baldwin to discuss these breaking news developments. Senator Baldwin, great to see you as always. So, >> it's good to be with you.

[00:05:57]>> The Americans do not want to be in this catastrophic war. Americans are suffering right now here at home. The cost of living is getting worse and worse by the day. And Donald Trump, while he's in Dover, Delaware, supposed to be the dignified transfer. First off, he lies and says that the service members said this is what they wanted that they wanted to make sure that Iran didn't have nuclear weapons. I mean, how do you I mean, it almost made me cry, you know, when I when I heard about it, thinking about their family members that saying that this is what they wanted. I mean, what sick human being says that?

[00:06:37]And then while he's there, Senator, in do while he's at the dignified transfer, he posts an image of himself that says, "Open the gates of hell. Trump will open the gates of hell on Iran." And I'm thinking to myself, what in the world is happening? I want to get I want to get your reaction to that.

[00:06:59]Well, there's so much uh to react to there, but let's just start with Trump in his first presidency ripped up an agreement that constrained Iran's nuclear ambitions with intrusive international inspections. We had them in check. and Trump comes into office and rips it up and they restart their nuclear program. He brought this upon the world with his actions and then he starts a war on February 28th with Israel. And it is a war that nobody asked for. It is a war of choice. We weren't under any imminent threat.

[00:07:52]Uh Trump actually claimed that last summer he obliterated Iran's nuclear program and yet he insists that we go to war. We've lost 17 service members. It's cost $ 37 billion and it is my constituents and all of America that is paying for this. Whether that's through higher uh fuel prices, grocery prices, my farmers are struggling so much this spring planting season. 70% of the farmers I represent could not afford the fertilizer they needed. And those tractors, those combines require a lot of diesel. and it reached the highest uh price point that it's ever reached earlier this spring in Wisconsin. So, we are bearing the price.

[00:08:53]Nobody wants it. And then he has to lie, which is so uh so tragic. Uh so, uh much a lack of leadership. Um but that's what this president does. Here we are now about five months into this catastrophic and unlawful war. A so-calledou that he held up in Versailles really lasted no days. Um but you know if you want to give it an end date probably around day 20 but it really was never being implemented at at at all.

[00:09:31]And then Trump escalates. And by the way, during the brief time that thatou existed, there was a brief period short where some of the ships were leaving.

[00:09:41]The prices were not better than they were when Trump took office. He creates the problem and then wants credit for the problems that he creates. But at least last month, you looked at an inflation report and said, "Okay, that's better than the month before." Okay, we we could acknowledge that's that's but then he then escalates this catastrophic war. The price of diesel, the price of gas back up. You look at what's happening. The straight of Haboo is closed. Bob El Mandab straight.

[00:10:10]Effectively Saudi tankers are being blockaded there. There's allout war. And when Americans are looking for stability, predictability, understanding, someone explaining why we're experiencing this trauma, the guy says, "I'm opening the gates of hell."

[00:10:30]And the idea of a United States president using the language of a war criminal while traumatizing the United States, someone who's already killed little girls in Man. I'm opening the gates of hell. And I'm just thinking, what's more hor horrific than saying that? And it puts >> And he's asking Congress to fund it. He came yesterday, his chairman of the joint chiefs and uh Secretary Hegsth came before a Senate committee yesterday that I'm on to ask for $87 billion to fund what he's describing right now.

[00:11:14]And you know what? They're casting it as uh you know, you got to support the troops. The biggest thing we could do to support our troops is to get out of this war. And it is going to end through diplomacy with a political solution, not by doing what Donald Trump is saying so disrespectfully on the day uh that our fallen are coming back for the dignified transfer through Delver.

[00:11:46]>> You know, I want to talk too about the numbers that the Trump regime is saying because we know Donald Trump's whole life is making up numbers. He'll either inflate or deflate as it suits him.

[00:11:57]There's a lot of red flags regarding this request by Hexith for the 70 plus billion dollars. There's $75 billion already in unrestricted funds that he has available when they were funded $1.1 trillion. So if you're saying in 5 months that the war costs 37 billion which is a lot of money why do you now need an additional 70 plus billion if you already have 70 billion when you take a look at the weapons that the United States has been using those PAC 3 interceptors the THAADS and all of these you just add them up and tally them just these those alone to me I add up close to $30 billion and I'm not even getting into the damage that's being caused to the bases or some of the consequential damages. And then they're calling the injuries when our bases get hit and people suffer traumatic brain injuries.

[00:12:52]They're saying minor concussions, which is not a thing. There's no such thing as a minor concussion when when that happens. So, I you know, I don't want to veer into the world senator being conspiratorial, but I don't buy their 37 billion. I don't buy their injury. I don't buy what they're selling at all about any of this. Well, they've hidden a lot uh with from the American people since the very beginning of this war.

[00:13:16]Remember, it took till May for them to come to Congress in a public setting to brief Congress on the state of the war with cameras rolling. Some of us got classified briefings before that, but we weren't allowed to come out and talk about what we were told. And that is disgraceful, especially when we're talking about an illegal war of choice. And you know, for for the very basics, the commanderin-chief has authority to defend this nation when we're under attack or imminent threat of attack. But neither of those conditions were present here. And yet, we don't get told about the injuries, the casualties. We don't get told about the fact that uh there were soldiers deployed asking for adequate defenses of the places that they were being deployed to, asking for adequate uh medical facilities to be proximate to the places that they were stationed.

[00:14:24]They were asking these things of the Department of Defense prior to the commencement of the war. You're putting us over here. Well, there aren't any defenses over here. There aren't any medical facilities over here. Can you get those? No, we can't. And then covering that up until recently when soldiers started talking to reporters and reporters started writing stories.

[00:14:51]Yeah. I mean, when you see even where the service members are being put in, there are these containerized prefab barracks. It looks like they're being put in the back of like a a container truck that you almost see. And they're all there kind of lined up like sitting ducks as Iran is picking off our early radar detection. And you take a look at what Iran is striking. They're striking early radar detection. They're striking the intercept. They're striking all of the surveillance. And Donald Trump's out there so we obliterated their military.

[00:15:24]But that I want to talk about this though, which is as the US security umbrella in the region has failed everywhere other than Israel, the Iron Dome, that's why Iran's not striking there. The Iron Dome's working over there, but in the other Arab nations where our troops are um where Trump did all of these quid proquo quit proquo, that's where we're seeing lots and lots of vulnerabilities. It seems maybe that whole iron dome was a broader iron dome and these Arab nations further to protect is you know to protect Israel also with the radar to systems there.

[00:15:55]But it seems like now in the art of the deal, I say that sarcastically, Trump now has to make good on some of these quid proquo. UAE, you get our semiconductor technology and yeah, you may give it to China, but we'll give you unrestricted license-free access to the most classified semiconductors and Saudi Arabia. So, sorry about that. We know we got you. You know, your tankers are we'll give you nuclear material. How?

[00:16:23]And then you could enrich. I believe that this is causally related. What What What do you make of this whole dynamic taking place? Well, I think it's making a much more dangerous world. And if you look at uh some of our allies in the region and who they consider friends and who they consider adversaries, um these uh sort of deals uh are are uh potentially going to uh cause greater harm in in the future. Um, you know, I don't want to get into all the global conflicts that are occurring right now, but UAE is involved in some of the worst. And we have seen in the past uh who Saudi Arabia is allied with and who they are adversaries with. And so these set dangerous precedents. We need to be most cautious and most careful. And the other thing I would say is that Congress is absent from these deals. Congress is absent from authorizing this war. That's why we've been bringing war power resolution after war power resolution to the floor demanding a vote demanding that my Republicans get put on record.

[00:17:39]Are you with this president and his illegal war of choice or are you for ending it until Congress has been consulted and authorizes it? But, you know, with arm sales, um, there is a congressional notification that's supposed to happen and Congress then has the right to bring up for a vote whether those should go through. It's a resolution of disapproval. I've not seen uh whether this president and his new deals will have a chance to be scrutinized by Congress before they uh go through to completion.

[00:18:22]>> And that brings me to one more point I want to talk about before we um before we head out here, which is then Trump holds this press conference, right? And he says China has interfered.

[00:18:36]China has, you know, done all these things. Okay, Donald. Well, so what you going to take steps against China? No, it happened a long time ago. So, I'm not going to do anything at all while he posts these love photos of him and Xi Jinping. And it's, you know, one, embarrassing the photos that he's posting. Two, this incoherent, deranged national address that he gave seems so utterly dangerous and filled with lies.

[00:19:01]And then even his team around him was like, "Yeah, it didn't we we don't know what no one seemed to even know what this was." But it just to me lowers the United States of America standing to have this is where we started this interview. Open the gates of hell.

[00:19:16]You know, the damage that something like that does beyond is generational. And then a national address. I was like, "What? What was that? What was It just it just shows the misplaced priorities Americans right now are really struggling. I cannot emphasize that enough. And it's not just struggling with filling up the gas tank. It is everything all at once. It is I can't afford my groceries. I can't afford my rent. I can't afford the child care. My insurance, my health insurance uh has $10,000 deductibles and doesn't cover much. um help me. And then they see the president take to the airways, not to address the war that he got us into, but to address an election that happened six years ago as he obsesses about how he wants to interfere with the one that is happening in just a few months.

Um, I want to bring you uh an address because as of right now, MAGA Mike, the Republicans want 70 plus billion dollars more to go to fund this uh catastrophic war. And that's the vote that's taking place right now. I want to bring in exclusively for you, the Midas Mighty uh here on the Midas Touch Network, uh Congress member Bole. And I want to bring in Congress member Amma. Let's play this clip.

[00:21:32]>> Well, thank you, Ben, and thank you to everyone watching on Midas Touch. I'm Congressman Brendan Bole, proud to represent the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and be the ranking member or senior Democrat on the House Budget Committee. And I'm joined here by my colleague in Congress as well as my colleague on the budget committee, Representative Gabe Amo from Rhode Island. We are both here because unbelievably Republicans are at it again. They are pushing something that they are calling reconciliation 3.0. Now, I'm going to speak about that in a minute, but let me remind everyone how we got here over the last 18 months. In 2024, Donald Trump campaigned throughout America, especially the battleground states. And indeed, more in my home state of Pennsylvania than any other state in the union. He campaigned more than anything else on his promise, and here are his exact words. I will lower your costs on day one. What a croc. In 18 months in office, he hasn't lowered costs. He has only raised them. Make no mistake about it. This did not happen by accident.

[00:22:45]First, it started off with the Trump tariff taxes, which raise costs an average of $1,800 per year for your average family. Then, he doubled down on it through what he absurdly called his big, beautiful bill, which really became the big ugly law for the American people. That's the one they passed a year ago. and Trump signed on the 4th of July from the White House South Lawn. It included more than $5 trillion worth of [snorts] tax cuts, mostly for billionaires and big corporations, and it was paid for in part by the single biggest cuts to health care in American history. As a result of that, at least 15 million Americans will lose their healthc care coverage as a result of that law.

[00:23:37]Now, here we are a year after that.

[00:23:40]Costs are higher than ever because of Trump's policies. And oh, by the way, waging a war in Iran, which has made gas prices go through the roof. And by the way, he has absolutely no idea how to end it or get out of it. And so with all of this, you would think that Republicans would be pushing their latest reconciliation bill with this great plan, this great agenda to bring down costs for the American people. You would think that because you're a logical person. Unfortunately, you would be wrong. Reconciliation 3.0 is 47 pages, 6560 words. You know how many words in that bill are about affordability or lowering costs?

[00:24:28]Zero. That's right. The Republicans reconciliation 3.0 bill doesn't even spend one word about bringing down costs for the American people. Instead, it is mostly defense funding to pay for Donald Trump's war in Iran.

[00:24:49]Their priorities are screwed up.

[00:24:52]They just don't care that costs are through the roof. They don't care that they have raised costs first through their tariff taxes, then through their original big ugly law. And now here is the latest. More money in order to further this reckless Iran war, which has only made prices sore even more.

[00:25:13]Still, we can do far better. I will be leading the flight the fight rather on the House floor to make sure this bill is defeated and I hope every American speaks out against it. With that, I'm happy to bring up my colleague and good friend, Representative Gabe Amo.

[00:25:35]Thank you, Congressman Bole, for your leadership as the ranking member of the House Budget Committee and for highlighting the Republicans's latest bad budget. And thank you to the Midas Touch Network for giving us the opportunity to speak directly to the American people about what is at stake.

[00:25:50]Right now, Republicans are trying to force through another bad budget. They are choosing to do nothing to address the high costs that they've created and instead are choosing to fund Trump's illegal war of choice with Iran. And this is not the first time. Over and over, Republicans have made their priorities clear. more money for war, less money for health care and housing costs, and indifference to skyrocketing gas and grocery prices. In their first bad budget, Trump and Republicans chose to slash $1 trillion from our health care system, jeopardizing care for millions of Americans, making it harder for thousands of Rhode Islanders to put food on the table and endow a slush fund for ICE and Border Patrol while giving a tax break to billionaires. In their second bad budget, Trump and Republicans chose to double down on the chaos and cruelty in our communities, dumping $70 billion dollar more into DHS, ICE, and the Border Patrol slush fund. And in this, their third bad budget, Trump and Republicans are choosing to give Trump $60 billion for his illegal war of choice in Iran that is driving up gas and grocery prices for the American people even more. And to make matters worse, like a lot of bad choices, they are running up this debt on America's credit card, Americans are cutting back at the grocery store and at the gas station, eating and driving less to fund Republicans spending spree. Their bad choices mean Americans are forced to mortgage our future and the future of our grandkids by exploding the national debt to pay for war and tax breaks for the ultra wealthy. In baseball terms, this would be three strikes and you're out. But under Trump, the game is rigged. Republicans in Congress are refusing to act as umpire and are instead letting Trump take swing after swing at the American people. They'd rather write a blank check for war, chaos, cruelty, and high costs than strike out Trump. Americans deserve better. You deserve better. It's time to end this rigged game. We need to get down to the real business of lowering everyday costs for Americans, funding health care, housing, and education, and stopping forever wars in the Middle East. And with that, I turn back to Congressman Bole.

[00:28:07]Thank you. And very well said, Gabe, although I wish the the facts were different. It is such a tragedy that Donald Trump is the single greatest con man in American history. It is such a tragedy that so many people in my beloved Pennsylvania believed his lies.

[00:28:28]They sadly believed him and voted for him when he won my state by 1% in 2024.

[00:28:36]They believed he would lower their costs. He has failed. Even worse, he hasn't even tried to lower costs. All of his actions have been to do the exact opposite.

[00:28:51]So make no mistake about it. House Democrats are a strong, unified, united no on reconciliation 3.0.

[00:29:03]The Republican rubber stamp Congress will give this president everything he wants. No matter how many griffs Donald Trump engages in, no matter how many billions he's lined his pocket with, more money for him, higher costs for you, this bill is a disgrace, and we're doing everything we can to defeat it.

[00:29:34]Now, I want to bring in right now uh Democratic leader Hakee Jeff. One of the things I want to ask leader Jeff about is that the injuries right now that are being reported by the Trump regime seem to be underplaying, downplaying the extent of the injuries, the amount of the injuries. And I think the amount that they're saying this war is costing. I believe the Trump regime is providing phony numbers. I want to get to the bottom of this. Let me bring in Democratic leader Jeff. I want to bring in Democratic leader Hakee Jeff.

[00:30:13]Now, earlier this morning, Donald Trump posting that he will be attacking more bridges near Thrron if Iran strikes ships and that uh you haven't seen nothing yet is what he said. said the other day, we're just getting started.

[00:30:29]Uh the American people want none of this unlawful and catastrophic war in Iran.

[00:30:35]But today, there is this uh vote that the MAGA Republicans are pushing where they want over $70 billion more for this unlawful and catastrophic war. I want to get your reaction to what's going on today.

[00:30:49]>> Donald Trump is filled with bluster.

[00:30:52]He's bluffing. Uh and the reality is this whole entire adventure has been a major blunder uh for the American people. And Donald Trump promised that he wasn't going to start endless wars in the Middle East. He was going to stop them. And then he turned around and got us involved in this reckless and costly war of choice in Iran. Uh that has made the American people economically weaker, particularly as it relates to the high gas prices. and Iran is actually in a stronger position. So our view is that Republicans should not uh be allowed to give Donald Trump a single dime more to fund Operation Epic Failure in the Middle East. We need to end this war and we need Republicans to actually join us in that effort so we can actually move the country in a better direction. You know, and leader Jeff, one of the things also that the American people are deeply concerned about is that a lot appears to be being covered up. We don't seem to be getting accurate numbers in terms of the actual cost of the war in terms of dollars. I don't think anybody believed what Pete Exith was telling the Senate yesterday. And then also just in terms of the injuries, you know, that that that are out there right now. And so I I want to get your take on that because it just seems that we know Donald Trump lies about everything, but it seems that every aspect of this is not only being done in a non-transparent way, but they're lying about every aspect of this war. Pete Hexath is a complete and total disgrace. He came to Capitol Hill and I believe lied under oath with respect to the actual cost of the war. Now, he claimed that we've spent about $35 billion. That's $35 billion too much.

[00:32:44]Even if that was true, the reality we believe objectively is that this war has cost the American taxpayer over $100 billion and counting without yielding any benefit, any strategic outcome to serve our national security interest. And in fact, it's caused economic pain on the American people in terms of gas prices, food prices, and inflation. With respect to the question about casualties and serious injuries, we need need a complete and thorough independent congressional investigation to actually get to the truth because the level of information being communicated to Congress and to the American people is shaky at best. And there's real reasons to question the validity and accuracy of what's being communicated relative to the actual harm being done to our troops over in the Middle East.

[00:33:44]>> I'll give you one example that I want to get your reaction to. Even if you just accept the statements being made by Trump and his regime right now where they'll say that a lot of these injuries that have taken place recently in Jordan and in some of our other bases they say are nonserious minor concussions resulting from Iranian shahid drones or ballistic missiles. minor concussions even in and it of itself seems to me to be contradictory. A concussion is a serious thing and when there is a shahid drone or a ballistic missile that is smashing into and blowing up one of these uh containerized barracks, a concussion caused by that to me raises deep concerns of traumatic brain injury which is not minor. Now, I believe the cover up by the Trump regime goes beyond that. But let's just even take that issue right there alone. A minor concussion is what they're saying are these injuries. What What's your reaction to when they say these are minor concussions?

[00:34:59]>> It's a nonsensical statement and claim that's being made by Donald Trump and his administration.

[00:35:05]There is no such thing as a minor concussion, particularly when it results from a serious drone or missile attack in a theater of war. And concussions are incredibly serious in and of themselves and of course can lead uh to serious and traumatic brain injury that can have lifelong consequences.

[00:35:33]And the fact that these injuries are being dismissed is consistent with the arrogance that we've seen from Donald Trump and Pete Hexath connected to this reckless war of choice in Iran from the very beginning. Let's recall that it was Donald Trump who bombed Iran last year and said that Iran's nuclear program has been completely and totally obliterated, but then launches this war this year because it's clear that their nuclear program has not been completely and totally obliterated. They've been lying to the American people from the very beginning, but now they are breaking a sacred trust by apparently lying to the American people about the injuries being experienced by our patriotic, heroic service men and women in the Middle East.

[00:36:27]Look, I think that when it comes to patriotic Americans, we always want to make sure our military is adequately funded. But this military got previously over a trillion dollar. And there's already $75 billion that apparently remain in these kind of unrestricted funds that they already have currently in their disposal. We know that they've ran through all of this money. We don't want the money to be spent on catastrophic and unlawful wars. Let me be very clear, you know, about that about that as well. But they've run through this money. Trump has handled the defense department like he has Trump businesses. He gave it a new name and then he bankrupted it. And now they're coming back from they want more money for a war that no American wants to be, you know, in in involved in. It just seems like, you know, part of this ongoing kind of Trump can't run thing.

[00:37:26]They can't run. They can't even run it efficiently. Now they want more of our money from and just just pissing people off. Trump can't organize a twocar parade if he tried. And unfortunately, the American people are experiencing the adverse consequences of his inability to lead anything anywhere other than to destruction. And that of course is what's happening. House and Senate Democrats are united. We're not going to give this Trump war machine a dime to continue to waste in this reckless and costly failed war of choice in Iran.

[00:38:07]Taxpayer dollars should be used to actually make life more affordable for the American people in a Trump economy where people are drowning in the high cost of living. And Donald Trump promised to address this issue on day one, but costs haven't gone down. Costs have gone up because of failed policies being jammed down our throats by Donald Trump and Republicans, including this war and including the Trump tariffs, which have actually cost the American people thousands of additional dollars in expense per year.

[00:38:40]I looked at the calendar this morning and I see we're almost a hundred days out from from the midterms. But before we go, Leader Jeff, I know it's a busy day on your end. Where are we right now?

[00:38:52]What what what what do you make of this kind of moment?

[00:38:54]>> So on Sunday, we'll be 100 days out and the good news for the American people has been that the marathon phase of the first two years of the Trump regime unleashing this extremism on the American people is over. and we're at the sprint phase and we've got to continue to run toward the finish line.

[00:39:14]And as House Democrats, we're going to make clear, look, we need affordability in this country as a primary focus and there has to also be accountability in terms of the corruption that has been unleashed on the American people by the Trump cartel. And as long as there are people in this country, in government, high positions, who are actually more focused on enriching themselves, their family, their friends, and their donors, that's what the Donald Trump administration is all about, then people are actually not focused on solving problems for the American people. We will need to drive down the high cost of living. That's in housing and gas and goods and groceries and utilities. We certainly need to fix our broken health care system and make sure that health care is made available and affordable for all Americans. And we actually have to change direction and hold some of these wrongdoers accountable for ripping off the American people as opposed to making their life better.
