Health essentials, chiropractic and living longer

[00:00:00]Hey there, Dr. James Sefcik. I spent a medical conference over the weekend and learned a little something interesting, explain what we do here and what about chiropractic and health and thought that was pretty kind of neat. So, what is chiropractic and health care really all about? It's really one simple word, longevity.

[00:00:16]So, what does that mean? It means, you know, to live longer and be able to do the things that you want to do, live a longer full life. Tell a story of a patient who's uh lives in Florida a lot of the years, comes up here, 80 years old. He came in and just recently said, "Doc, hurry up and fix me, I got a tee time next week." And he wants to go golf and he's playing tennis. And I asked him, I said, "You know, a lot of people my age are playing pickleball now. Do you What do you think about pickleball?"

[00:00:35]I asked him about pickleball and he said, "Uh I don't play pickleball.

[00:00:38]That's for old people." And he's 80 years old, still playing tennis and golf. And so, that's what life's really about. So, the good way to explain this is this little chart here.

[00:00:45]This is kind of our health over here and this is time.

[00:00:48]So, I tell people this There's a lot of ways it relates to chiropractic. So, we're born really healthy, hopefully.

[00:00:54]Now, as we get older, we're all getting a little less healthy till eventually we meet our end right here, right? We want this date to be as far back as possible.

[00:01:01]We take care of ourselves, especially going to the chiropractor. Really, what our main goal we want you feeling better and all that stuff, but here's the main goal with chiropractic care, right?

[00:01:09]We're going down there. So, we're going to live a longer, healthier life. And this span, you know, you think, "What's a one extra year of your life worth?

[00:01:16]Five extra years? 10 years?" Most people have a relative or friend or even a pet they wish were around for just a year more. But if we take care of ourselves and be able to get these extra years near the end, that's what it's all about. And using those years wisely, being able to do stuff, play with your grandkids, play football, play golf, doing all those things, making life a little bit longer. And this goes with our treatment here, too. A lot of people think they're going to come in and and they're up here. A lot of times with regular chiropractic care, we're doing this. Now, if we didn't go to the chiropractor, we'd be doing that. If we go to the chiropractor once a week instead of every couple weeks, you might be doing that. So, really a lot of what we're doing is prolonging life, giving longevity, and letting us live a happier, healthier, longer life, and being able to do things in those last years that we might not be able to do.

[00:01:57]So, really a lot of what we do here with chiropractic is about a longevity, helping you live longer, having a fuller end of your life, being able to do all the things that you always want to do like golfing, playing with your grandkids, etc. So, just a little bit about longevity.
