Prostate cancer treatment decisions involve weighing the benefits and side effects of different approaches; active surveillance is suitable for low-risk cases, while treatment options like prostatectomy or radiation therapy carry specific side effects such as erectile dysfunction or urinary incontinence that patients must consider when making healthcare decisions.

My Cancer Diagnosis
Added:Hey, what's up guys? It's Crash Power and uh it's been a long time since I've uh had anything out or seen you all or talked to you all and I just wanted to say hi and give you an update on what's going on right now in my life.
Um I'm feeling fine, but uh obviously by the title of this video you can tell I have cancer.
I've had cancer um for about two about two years ago we [snorts] discovered I had prostate cancer. But uh we did some tests and um you know, you're kind of in denial when you get the news.
Uh but we did some tests and um it didn't come back high risk.
We did another out-of-pocket test and um they deemed it low intermediate grade uh prostate cancer.
There's it's a longer title, but that that's low to intermediate low to intermediate grade risk. It has to do with the survivability and the chance of it spreading. It it I'll spare you the details.
>> [cough] >> But what we did then is uh active surveillance, which is basically I'm young, I'm 55.
And uh we can keep an eye on it, check up on it every so often.
And if it doesn't grow, then everything's fine and we you know, you you know, there's a 2% chance I think I had 10 years uh of it uh spreading.
A very small chance and I'm very young, so I'm fortunate that I caught it early.
But a year ago um we found out that it grew.
And, uh, so we did some more tests and, uh, I I'm going to have to actively do something about it. And, um, this is the embarrassing part that I can't believe I'm putting on YouTube.
My The two choices, um, are either a what do you call it?
prostatectomy, where they remove the prostate entirely, which is where the cancer is, or, um, radiation beads inserted inside the cancer cells to, uh, treat.
So, >> [cough] >> since I'm so young and we caught it early and it's early, I thought, well, you know, well, there are some side effects to having your prostate removed.
Um, you could have erectile dysfunction.
Uh, you could, uh, have other things.
But, because of my weight, uh, because of my weight, God, I'm going on and on.
The The surgeon or the urologist explained that, uh, it will require them to shorten my penis, and I'm not joking.
Um, the because, uh, of I used to weigh 650 lb.
Uh, they say everything's pushed down and when you remove the prostate, you have to make up for that missed area and but that's a small price to pay when it comes to, you know, being scared about cancer.
And I was going to still do that.
But, then I found out I also have to wear a diaper.
That'll be a high probability for urinary incontinence.
And I didn't I'm just not ready to wear a diaper.
And starting to So, I chose to get the radiation bleeds beads.
They're little radiation seeds.
Uh And as part of the procedure of getting ready for that, they do a what they call PET scan, which is a full body. They really look for everything.
And now they found something on my kidney.
A 1.7 cm mass, solid mass.
Um which is good cuz it's not huge.
But, um now we're in the process of scans of finding out if it's cancerous. I've had two scans. I got one more scan, and then they're going to do a biopsy. I don't know why they can't just do the biopsy, but they say insurance wants scans.
Uh >> [snorts] >> and it's kind of getting scary.
I'm still very fortunate, very young.
I'm very lucky we caught it early.
Uh it could have been fatal when we found it.
But, uh once we do the radiation, I can't go and get the prostate removed. They can say I'm kind of painting myself in a corner.
I don't know.
I just thought for some stupid reason it would be interesting to share this.
And maybe any of you all out there uh having some experience with this.
Most of you probably don't. You're probably at high school or 13 when you saw my videos and then now you're in college.
Too young for cancer.
But uh good news is I feel good. I got I had another test today uh part of second part of a stress test for cardiology. Uh getting my heart tested.
Uh sometimes when I get up I pass I feel like I'm about to pass out.
>> [snorts] >> I don't know.
It's you know, I I I'm I'm it's not scary. I'm not worried because I'm fortunate. I'm slow risk and uh I'm hoping that the thing on my kidney is benign.
We find out uh in a couple weeks.
And that is about all I can think to say about this. It's not funny. It's not a joke.
I'm just publicly saying I I I don't make jokes about penis reduction surgery. Yeah, baby.
I got some to spare, baby.
Uh it's good talking to y'all. I'm sorry I haven't been putting zombie content out.
Bye.
