[00:00:00]Let's get into the third mechanism where we talk about NSAIDs. And again, these are commonly you know, you can get those anywhere over the counter and your doctor may not even know that you're taking them and now you've got the triple whammy all set up and again potentially leading you into acute kidney injury. So let's talk about NSAIDs. I mean these are so common, right? We can get them at the grocery store. So we're talking about ibuprofen, naproxen and higher doses of even aspirin can cause this issue. So NSAIDs, again that stands for non-steroidal anti-inflammatories.

They're great at knocking down inflammation and and helping with pain and so forth and the issue here though, specifically as it relates to kidney issues is the problem here is that NSAIDs also block something called prostaglandins. And I'm not going to get deep into this, but just know what prostaglandin prostaglandins are doing when it relates to kidneys. So we already talked about how the uh ACE inhibitors, they open up the pipe or the valve if you will exiting the kidneys, right? And that could be a problem with hyper hypo perfusion of the filters.
