A tumor is an abnormal mass of tissue with uncontrolled growth, but not all tumors are cancerous; tumors are classified as benign (non-cancerous, slow-growing, well-differentiated, encapsulated, no invasion or metastasis, good prognosis) or malignant (cancerous, rapid uncontrolled growth, poorly differentiated, invasive, metastasizes to distant organs, poor prognosis). Cancer specifically refers to malignant tumors that invade surrounding tissues and spread to other organs.

B.Sc Nursing 3rd Sem: Pathology-1 Rapid Revision | क्या हर Tumor Cancer होता है? | Bhushan Science
Added:So friends, I have a question. The question is, is every tumor cancerous? No, right? Or do you also think that every tumor means cancer? So let me tell you whether every tumor is cancer or not. Please see the full content.
You will have a complete understanding of whether each tumor is cancerous or not. So hello friends, I Kabir once again welcome you all to Bhushan Science YouTube channel. Where today we are going to do rapid revision of pathology. In which I will tell you what is benign and malignant tumor.
Ok? Come on kids, yes this is your topic, tumor and cancer.
Brother, what is tumor and what is cancer?
Many people say that brother, it is the same tumor, the same cancer. Same tumor, same cancer. Or what do many children do? We go to the exam centre and the question is asked in the exam centre. Has the question been asked?
What did you come up with after writing the type of cancer? Type of tumor. He came back after writing about this tumor. So he said, Sir, your answer is wrong because you have written the wrong thing, right? So you got it wrong. Isn't it? So he asked, Sir, what should I do for this? For this it is very important for you to have correct information. And I am going to give you the correct information.
So brother, the first thing that comes to mind is tumor. Whose name comes first, sir? of the tumor. Brother, what is a tumor? What is a tumor? Look kids, look carefully at a tissue called a tumor.
What is written in it? A tumor is an abnormal mass of tissue. What happens? Abnormal mass. I am speaking. I am not speaking normally.
An abnormal mass made up of tissue whose growth is greater than normal tissue and is uncoordinated. Meaning all the tissues are organized. So this is disorganized or should I say brother, they will live in a slightly different type of way and it has uncontrolled growth. What did I say to him, sir? He said tumor. He said, Sir, this growth continues in the same aggressive manner even after the stimulus is removed.
Meaning, this continuous growth of the tumor is a factor, let's say it happened due to radiation, then even after the radiation is removed, this process continues. Isn't it? So he said something like this happens. Meaning, what are you trying to say here? This growth is autonomous. It happens automatically. It is purposeless. They are without any purpose.
Tell me son, about the shape of our nose, suppose the nose gets hurt or the hand gets hurt, the skin gets hurt, anywhere gets hurt, then there will be cell growth to recover the damaged cells there.
This has become a normal thing. He became purposeful. But there is no need here. There is no need of any kind.
Cell growth is not required. Still, if it is growing then it is purposeless, right? It was purposeless. And becomes a parasitic growth for the host. Parasitic means we don't need it son. It will remain in our body. It will be formed from the nutrition we take in our body, the diet we take, whatever we eat and drink. So tell me, it is made without any meaning. That happened like a parasite, right?
Parasite means a parasite that goes into someone's body and lives there is called a parasite.
Just like that, there is no parasite actually but they are speaking like parasites. Isn't it? So something like that happens.
What do we call him? Tumors speak. Now here I have not said anywhere that this tumor is not cancer or this tumor is cancer. Did I ever say that this tumor is cancer or this tumor is not cancer?
I have neither called a tumor cancerous nor have I called a tumor non-cancerous yet.
What does this mean? This means that brother, the tumor is not any type of cancer. The literal meaning of tumor is swelling.
What does tumor mean, son? Swelling. Another meaning is swelling of the tumor. So what is the exact swelling? Swelling means that due to the growth of the cell tissue, there is swelling there.
What happened there? It became like an ass.
That is a tumor.
You said, Sir, it's okay, you have told me about the tumor.
So how many types of tumors are there?
Sir, there are two types of tumors. Sir, how many types of tumors are there? There are two types of tumors.
He asked, Sir, which one? One is benign tumor.
And one more is called malignant tumor.
Malignant Tumor: Okay, so he said, Sir, please tell me what is this, Vine and what is Malignant?
What is this vine and what is this melancholic? He said, Sir, what does benign mean? I said, Sir, this is non-cancerous. [sound of clearing throat] It's non-cancerous.
He said, Sir, Magnificent means malignant, which means it is cancerous, son. What happened? Cancerous.
Meaning, brother, what it means is that a tumor can be non-cancerous and a tumor can also be cancerous. So yes, this is what I wanted to tell you that when there is uncontrolled growth of cell or tissue, it is called tumor and this tumor can be non-cancerous or cancerous. If it is cancerous, we will call it malignant and if it is non-cancerous, what will we call it? We will call it a benign tumor. clear?
Is this clear to everyone? Ok. Let's move ahead.
Now let's talk about cancer.
What is cancer, sir? What is cancer? He said, Sir, cancer is the same tumor. It is just a tumor.
But a tumor that is growing uncontrollably. Isn't it? Cancer is a common term.
Cancer is a common term used for all malignant tumors. I just told you what a malignant tumor is? Cancerous tumors are called malignant tumors. So he said that all the malignant tumors that exist. Now what is a malignant tumor? I will tell you further. Pay attention here. Isn't it? He said, Sir, what did we say about all the malignant tumors? Cancer said it.
Cancer said it. Now what happens in this? In this, there is uncontrolled growth of cells in an autonomous manner and they continue to grow and at the same time they invade the surrounding tissue. What it means is that Sir, this is a tissue, so this growth is taking place in this tissue.
This growth is happening in this tissue and it also goes into the adjacent tissue. It invades.
I will call that sir cancer. What should I say? cancer. Whereas this invasion capability is not present in tumors or benign tumors. This occurs only in malignant tumors. Where does this happen? Only in malignant tumors do we see what the cancerous cells or the abnormal growth that is taking place do to other tissues? He damages it or he goes there. So I will call it a cancerous condition, sir.
Ok? Good. Now it's sending to other tissues, so it will send to further tissues. Will go to the next tissue. Will go to the next tissue.
What does he do while doing this? It goes to distant organs. And when it goes to a distant organ, I tell it, Sir, what?
Metastasis. What should I say, sir?
Metastasis. What I mean, Sir, is that the cancerous cell or the cancerous tumor metastasizes. Yes, it absolutely does. Whereas a tumor that is benign does not metastasize at all. Ok? After this, I would like to tell you some more points.
I would like to tell you three features of a cancerous cell or what I call a malignant tumor, first of all it grows uncontrolled. Uncontrolled means it keeps growing continuously brother. It keeps happening.
No cycle with any regulation etc. works in this. Meaning, suppose you get injured here, then son, the cell growth will happen in the area corresponding to the shape of the nose.
After that, the reshaping of the nose, eyes, ears, any other body part, after it is reshaped, there is no cell growth there. It stops. Then it will die and a new cell will be formed. But in cases of cancer, this growth keeps increasing. Now the growth will continue to increase.
Suppose it is happening in the nose or anywhere else, then there will be a lump like abnormal growth on top, that is a tumor. Isn't it? Now this is uncontrolled growth. First point.
Second point local invasion. Now this is a local invasion. Meaning, if it is in the nose, then what will it do to all the tissues around the nose, whatever organs there are like liver, kidney, wherever they are?
Will invade. Now it is invading the surrounding tissue up to there. Correct? He asked, what else does he do? It metastasizes to distant organs.
Meaning, if it is in the liver, then from the liver it goes to the lungs, to the brain, to the bones. What all does it do in other organs? He goes away. What do we call that? They speak of metastasis. So you get to see these three main features in cancer cells. While what happens to tumors in children? In a way, I can say that the growth that occurs in a tumor is uncontrolled. Let 's say uncontrolled growth happens but it never spreads to other tissues.
He lives inside a tissue.
It never metastasizes to the distant organ. Did you understand? He said, Sir, please understand the example. What are conditions like sarcoma, carcinoma, leukemia, and lymphoma? There are cancerous conditions. He said, Sir, let's go to the next slide.
Let's go. He said, see the next slide.
This is the golden notes of the golden batch. Look kids, the golden batch has arrived for you. Isn't it? He said, Sir, what is this golden batch? This Golden Batch is this Golden Batch, in this all the subjects of the third semester, whether we call it infection control, microbiology, pharma, pharma one, pathology, all the subjects, adult health nursing one, we are going to discuss all the subjects here.
We are going to study all the subjects here. All the children who want to do their preparation in a better way, they should immediately install the Science Plus app and after installing it immediately, what you can do is, children, you can join our course and along with that, you can see these notes, you can order these notes here and see that brother, how are these notes, are they beneficial for you or not, you can see all these things here, okay, okay let's move ahead.
Next up is benign tumors.
Now let's talk about what is benign tumor?
Totally about him. First of all, the growth that takes place in it is slow. It does not become completely uncontrolled. There is growth but it is slow and there is study growth. Steady means it happens slowly, gradually, which sometimes stops and sometimes what happens? It keeps growing slowly. Isn't it? So this is how growth happens. He said second differentiation. He said, Sir, well differentiate means that we can differentiate the cell tissues in it well by saying that yes brother, this is this tissue. Isn't it? This is such and such tissue or such and such tissue.
Whatever the tissue is, whatever size of tissue will be safe, we can find out that. In case of benign tumor. He asked, how does the next capsule remain in it? Sir, the capsule in it remains present. Isn't it? Meaning well encapsulated what will you get to see?
Tissue will be visible. He said, Sir, there is potential for the next invention. Absolutely not sir, it cannot go from one tissue to another.
Never invades the surrounding tissue.
Here we can say that the tissue here is growing uncontrolled, so when its size increases here, it can definitely compress the next tissue but it does not invade. He said there is no metastasis. Meaning there is no metastasis in it.
It does not go to other organs.
Talking about prognosis, it has a good prognosis. Meaning, if you do treatment, surgery, there is a good prognosis. This gets cured quickly. It gets better quickly. So this is a benign tumor. Now comes the matter of malignant tumor. Sir, malignant tumor means one whose growth is rapid or should I say it is uncontrolled brother. Uncontrolled type of cell growth occurs. What should I tell him, sir? Should I call it malignant tumor or should I call it cancer, sir? What should I say, sir? If I call it cancer, then tell me sir. The second point is differentiation, that is, purely differentiated, meaning that you will not be able to differentiate the cells and tissues of this tumor. It becomes completely disorganized and it becomes difficult to understand which tissue is this, which cell is this. Sir, next is the matter of capsule, the capsule in it is absent or is incomplete, the capsule is also damaged. He said, Sir, next comes the ability of invasion.
I just made it and told you that brother, it goes from one tissue to another and at the same time it also goes to other organs. So it metasterizes as well. If I talk about prognosis, then if comparison has to be made, with whom should it be made, sir?
Its prognosis is much lower than that of a benign tumor. Isn't it? And everyone must have heard that the third stage of cancer has gone to the fourth stage. So he said, Sir, there is another problem. Isn't it? Everyone knows this. So he said, Sir, what is this? Melaginous tumors. Now Sir, please see the difference between benign tumor and malignant tumor.
See the difference between the two. Feature benign tumors and malignant tumors. The first feature is the matter of rate and growth. So he said, Sir, first of all I told you in the beginning that the growth of a benign tumor is slow to some extent. It is slow.
This also stops and regresses again. He said, Sir, next here the melagen tumor grows rapidly and is progressive. It keeps increasing continuously. It keeps increasing. It keeps increasing. It grows so much that it moves from one organ to another. If I talk about differentiation, you can differentiate benign tumors and you will be able to fully differentiate malignancies.
He said Sir, if I talk about mitotic figure, then here you will get to see normal figure and normal appearance and here you will get to see abnormal and atypical type.
How will the nuclear feature be? Normally, its ratio etc. will remain almost normal and you will see a uniform type of nucleus. Whereas in this you will see pleomorphic and also the ratio which is highly differentiated. If we talk about capsules, then your wine is well encapsulated and the capsule in it is incomplete or absent. If we talk about the mode of growth, here push tissue aside means it pushes the tissue that is next to it.
applies pressure. Whereas this one invades. Destroys other tissues.
Metastasis is absent in VIN and present in MELGAN. He said, Sir, if I talk about necrosis, it is rare.
When will necrosis occur? When this continues to put pressure on other tissues, necrosis will occur. And he said, Sir, malignant keeps growing continuously. So there is something common in this. He said, Sir, the chances of recurrence are rare, it can happen in benign cases, it can happen again.
But brother, it is common in malignant.
Chances of recurrence are high. Get surgery done, it happens again. Everyone knows this. Isn't it? He said, Sir, what is next? Effect on host: Usually harmless and local pressure only. Meaning, if it happens here, there will be problems here. If it is here then there will be problems here. She will not come here. But brother, if I talk about cancer, malignant tumor, then there are complications like CKG, anemia and different types of problems and if it spreads to other organs then more problems arise. He said, Sir, next I will talk about [nasal sound] ah lemniscation, here the word for the venous tumor is mostly oma. Isn't it? Oma Word sounds.
What does it look like for malignant tumors in children? Carcinoma or sarcoma seem to be such words.
Ok? So remember, here I have told you what is Vinayan and malignant tumor.
Okay, now look at another banner here, the banner is of the complete course of B.Sc. Nursing third semester, children, I would like to tell you once again.
In this complete course, you will get a free trial of 7 days.
Kids are going to get a free trial of Days.
Clearly, yes, you will get a free trial of seven days and in this, whatever subjects there are, whatever subjects there are, I am saying that all the subjects are in IAC syllabus, be it Microbiology, Pharma, Pathology, Adult Health Nursing, we will teach you all the subjects here. I'm going to take your microbiology and pathology one.
Ok?
So just like we studied, we are going to study there also.
We have done all the preparation for you in an even better way. Isn't it? And you will get these classes inside the app. He asked, which app sir? So you will get this only on Bhushan Science Plus app and if you want our notes, you want us to have notes also, then tell us sir, here is our contact number, you can get more information about the notes, along with this, if you want the course or not, sir, we want this course, we want this course, then tell us sir, you dial this number, dial this number 8602802923 and you can get more information about it.
