[00:00:09][music] [music] >> Deadlock continues to persist in the Indian Parliament. Opposition lawmakers are protesting against police action during the cockroach movement Parliament March. The first 2 days of the monsoon session are washed out already. And today, after repeated adjournments, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha adjourned for the day without any legislative business. Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, addressed a press conference today and expressed his full support to the protesting students. He called India's education system rigged and reiterated demands of education minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, prime minister's apology, and justice for students who face police crackdown.

[00:02:06]>> Union Minister JP Nadda also held a press conference where he addressed the paper leaks claiming that the leaks are reported in Congress ruled states. He also added that the BJP [music] is ready to discuss the issue in detail in Parliament.

[00:02:42]>> Finally, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju took the floor in the Rajya Sabha. He said the government is ready to discuss the issue of paper leak or NEET paper leak in Parliament.

[00:02:53][music] >> Our government is ready to hold discussion on NEET exam paper leak for the future of students. It is our duty to inform people of India about the decisions and steps we have taken to curb paper leak.

[00:03:10]>> Earlier, Nadda and Union Minister Jitendra Singh paid a visit to activist Sonam Wangchuk who is currently admitted at Medanta Hospital. Following the meeting, Wangchuk wrote a fresh letter saying that the central government has agreed to give compensation to the kin [music] of students who committed suicide, hold a meaningful discussion in Parliament, and give an assurance of the consideration of Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation. Sonam Wangchuk has agreed to end his hunger strike if the government promises that no legal action will be taken against the protesters. A delegation of opposition members of Parliament also reached at Medanta Hospital carrying a letter asking Wangchuk to end his hunger strike. Onechuk's wife received a letter outside the hospital premise as leaders were not allowed to enter the hospital and meet Onechuk.
