[00:00:36]So, I'll turn around turn the camera around and show you what we've been doing today. So, as on the previous video, working down here.

[00:00:48]Um, nothing more to show you really there.

[00:00:59]The incinerator was full nearly to the top with tin cans and clumps of plastic which had burnt through. And as you can see the iron mesh is all burnt away. So I I I won't bother with iron mesh on the bottom again. And I'll get some couple of bits of Rio bar across and leave big holes in the bottom. And the iron mesh is burnt away on the sides.

[00:01:31]So maybe do it do iron mesh on the sides as well.

[00:01:35]Um yeah, so the septic truck is due in tomorrow for riding the mended repair it and I imagined a vacuum truck with an 8 8 in pipe coming out the back end and to suck the septic tank out. But no, it's a Philippines.

[00:02:06]So they've got a truck with a tank on the back, a 2-in pipe, and a pump.

[00:02:14]I don't know if it's a pump what they put put down the well. uh put down the septic tank or a pump what sucks it on the front of the tub which sucks it out the septic tank. Um if the pump's on the truck, it'll be just sucking out water.

[00:02:34]If the pump loaded into the tank, unless it's a slurry pump, it'll just be sucking out water as well. So you won't remove any sludge.

[00:02:48]Um, but that's how it how it's going to be done. That's how they do it here. So, there's a lot to wait it up.

[00:02:59]Now, I was saying yesterday the vents on the septic tank had all been plugged up solid with uh rolled up feed bags.

[00:03:12]Um, and that would prevent evaporation from the tanks. I looked at them earlier on and we've been washing out today.

[00:03:29]Um, and I think the water in the bottom the last two tanks has dropped by 2 3 in, but I didn't measure it, so I can't be 100% certain.

[00:03:43]Then thinking about it a bit more, with them vents plugged, the seepage from the tank will also be restricted.

[00:03:54]So, I got a straw and a cup of water and I I got win over and I dip the straw in the cup of water and put my thumb on top of the straw and explained to him.

[00:04:10]I said, "The straw is a septic tank."

[00:04:13]I say, "There's water in it. It's not going anywhere. You take your come off the top and the water falls out.

[00:04:23]I says the vents have all been plugged up. So it won't probably won't stop the seepage fully, but it will restrict [laughter] the seepage. So not only have you lost the evaporation rate, you've lost lowered the seepage rate.

[00:04:43]And I think he's finally understands.

[00:04:46][laughter] Uh hopefully I said don't ever plug them bloody vents up again cuz I I've never asked them who plugged them up.

[00:05:01]I don't want to know who plugged him up.

[00:05:03]Um it's not it's not a big issue and I don't want to make anybody feel responsible.

[00:05:13]These things happen. It may be that there's just [laughter] it's not after three years. It may be that it's just full and would needed pumped out anyway.

[00:05:28]Um if that's the case, we'll we'll pump all three tanks out. If if the level doesn't lower by itself, I'll get the truck back in and we'll keep pumping until we empty it.

[00:05:47]I'll do a clip when the uh ses pit truck comes and um I don't think there's anything else happening tomorrow other than digging what what we're doing now. Um and then I'll do a concluding video this time tomorrow evening.

[00:06:20]You maybe see that corner now's leveled up with dirt. Just centered it.

[00:06:29]They've done about half down the bottom and half to go. And we're digging away.

[00:06:33]Oh, we can see the road now.

[00:06:38]>> [snorts] >> They're digging away steadily, exposing the roadway. So, we'll probably put a concrete wall there just to make sure it doesn't move if we have an earthquake, which we have all the time.

[00:07:02]Um, yeah.

[00:07:07]Maybe just enough dirt. Maybe not enough. I don't know.

[00:07:13]Now I went down the ces bit this morning.

[00:07:20]Um and yes, definitely that ces bit was drained [sighs] overnight by 3 in.

[00:07:28]So with the vents being plugged up, uh it's defin definitely stopped the seepage from the cespit.

[00:07:39]Now 3 in overnight then the ces pit is about 10 ft maybe 12 ft deep.

[00:07:49]Um so um 40 days it would drip or thereabouts it would drain empty at that rate.

[00:08:09]Um because the fuller the tank is the more pressure you've got the more seepage you will have I imagine.

[00:08:18]Um, when it's a third full, you got less pressure, so you'll have less seage, you would think. But we're waiting now for the uh septic tank truck to come.

[00:08:32]He's due this afternoon. He rang up this morning to say he would be here this afternoon.

[00:08:38]So, just wait for him coming.

[00:08:42]It's uh Monday morning, half 9.

[00:08:48]I'll do a concluding video for the video that I started Friday uh with one man on site this morning.

[00:08:58]Winds down the city. He might be in this afternoon. He might not.

[00:09:04]So Raml's by himself. He's down the pig at the minute feeding the piglets.

[00:09:09]Um he's been up digging for an hour after he fed the pigs and cleaned them out this morning.

[00:09:15]And we've just that little bit there if you can see it on the camera. And then it's more or less level.

[00:09:25]So we'll be putting gravel down next tomorrow for definite. Maybe this afternoon if wind gets in.

[00:09:33]Yeah. So the septic truck came uh yesterday morning close to lunchtime.

[00:09:44]We were out the front. selling pork. I never had chance to pick up the camera.

[00:09:51]So, he went down there and he they pumped out uh 6 cubic meters, all liquid. There was no slurry or sludge. It was all water. And initially was it was pumping from all three tanks because the water level was that high.

[00:10:13]Um, so the first tank now is dropped below the overspill level and it's maybe 18 in off the top.

[00:10:24]Um, he barely touched the surface with the the amount it pumped out. If I got him in to empty that first tank, he'd probably need four trips. It's 6,000 pesos a trip.

[00:10:42]maybe five trips. I don't know.

[00:10:45]So, I went down this morning and I reckon I never measured it with a stick, [clears throat] but I reckon in the two secondary tanks, the water level has dropped by about 14 in.

[00:11:04]Now, that's entirely evaporation and um seepage, I would think.

[00:11:13]Um, the first tank I can't see the water level. So, uh, I don't know how much that's dropped. But what I've done this morning, I've been down there, I've measured them with a stick, marked the stick. So, tomorrow morning, I'll know exactly how much they've dropped in the 24hour period. But, it seems to me that uh, it's been a problem of a zone making And um the problem will be solved. Now the first tank there will be sludge in the bottom, but I've no idea how deep the sludge is because they never touched the bottom. They just sucked off the top. But they went down with a tube maybe 3 4t and it was all water.

[00:12:04]So I don't think there's a lot of sludge in it. Um, it's a big, very big tank.
