Transformers are REAL: Meet the Unitree GD01 Manned Mecha!

[00:00:00]Science fiction is officially crossing over into reality. Unitree Robotics has just unveiled the GD01, which they are calling the world's first mass-produced manned mecha.

It weighs approximately 500 kg with a pilot on board and features a torso-mounted cockpit where human operator can take full control. The standout feature is its transformable chassis.

During a recent demonstration, Unitree CEO Wang Xingxing personally piloted the robot to show it walking through a workshop and even knocking over a brick wall with its hands. Constructed from high-strength alloy, this machine is a serious piece of engineering. However, owning one will cost you. The starting price is set at 3.9 [music] million yuan, which is roughly $650,000.
