[00:01:12]We, the advocates in Kenya, have declared this boycott.

[00:01:20]It's a single-day boycott for a specific purpose. It is for the greater good.

[00:01:26]We want accountability and integrity in the delivery of the services.

[00:01:34]You may find it convenient and comfortable today to insist that your matter proceeds.

[00:01:42]But what we are asking, you need to look at the greater good.

[00:01:49]The need for us to ensure that there is accountability and integrity. But fundamentally, access to justice in a manner that is effective and efficient.

[00:01:59]It is for that reason that we have therefore come to ask this court to heed the call to the boycott.

[00:02:08]And uh Your honor, this will not [snorts] have come to where it is right now, but for certain inabilities occasioned by the leadership of the judiciary, which have quite a number of them.

[00:03:46]Your honor, an hour ago, I was before honorable Gamara, your sister, and she was also proceeding with a hearing, and I had to make the same request for her to down her tools and for the advocates to show solidarity with the other advocates in the other case. The court is not proceeding and I'm not able to proceed.

[00:04:08]We also understand that the Chief Justice gave orders that we proceed with the court proceedings. But now we are coming from the law society to show solidarity with our colleagues.
