[00:00:07]This is the Humble Hauler, a fully autonomous electric freight truck from a startup that just came out of stealth.

[00:00:12]San Francisco-based Humble Robotics unveiled it on April 21st, backed by $24 million in seed funding. The specs: 200 miles of range, 55 mph top speed, zero emissions, built for Class 8 freight.

[00:00:27]No cabin means more payload and a full 360 degree sensor suite. Cameras, lidar, and radar wrapping the entire body. It moves 40 and 53-foot shipping containers dock to dock, full unload at destination, not just dropping trailers.

The founder helped build Otto, the company behind the world's first autonomous freight delivery back in 2016. The team, alumni from Tesla, Waymo, Cruise, Apple, and Uber. The target market, a $900 billion US [music] freight industry facing a chronic driver shortage. Pilots start in controlled environments first, public roads come next.
