This video presents a dramatized account of a mother's experience with conjoined twins, where doctors initially warned of high risks including miscarriage or stillbirth, but the mother chose to continue the pregnancy, resulting in a C-section delivery at 32 weeks where the twins lived briefly before passing away, demonstrating the emotional and medical complexities of conjoined twin pregnancies.

>> Why would we kill our babies? They're alive. We see them jumping on the ultrasound screen because they're going to die anyways. Why would we make that process go faster? If they're going to miscarry, just let that happen naturally. I was pregnant with conjoined twins October 2022 when I found out I was pregnant for the first time. Super super nauseous. And I always saw in the back of my head, oh my gosh, what if it's twins? But this pregnancy would present more challenges than she could ever imagine.
>> I had really really bad abdominal pain around 10 weeks. So we decided to go to the ER. They did emergency ultrasound ran to go grab my husband. You are pregnant with twins but your twins are very special because they are conjoined and looks like they can't be separated.
Most likely you are going to have a miscarriage and if you don't have a miscarriage be still born.
>> She's facing every mother's worst nightmare and is forced to make a heartbreaking decision.
>> Basically they were telling me do you want to have an abortion or not? And to me that was like a slap in the face. I had three different doctors come in and ask me the same question. How do you want to proceed? Let God be God. The doctors don't have the final say. Only God had the final say. So you do make it to the term. You will need to have a C-section to deliver the babies. We live in the time of modern medicine. We're just going to continue.
>> But her brave decision would reignite her excitement and led to something beautiful.
>> Found out that they were two little girls. This is Maria TZ. She's baby A and then Rachel is baby B. Rachel Cla.
We had ultrasounds just to check for um signs of heart failure. Their heart is starting to fail. They're seeing early signs of heart failure and their single umbilical cord was starting to not supply enough nutrients, oxygen, whatever they needed for both of them.
They said, "We need a deliver um with within the next few days."
>> It was finally time for her to meet her conjoined twins in a moment that would last a lifetime.
>> I had a classical C-section uh to deliver the twins and the babies were born. Maria TZ and Rachel Cla were born alive at 32 weeks. They allowed my husband in the O, my mom was in the O, a priest was in there, and a photographer to um capture their their moments. And what was really important for us was for them to be baptized and confirmed immediately. So they uh put them directly right on my chest. Maria had her eyes open. She even cried really loud and the priest was there and he immediately uh baptized them in Latin, Maria and Rachel and then confirmed them in Latin as well. My husband held them and together they breathed them together and then they exhaled together and then they passed away um in his arms.
>> And two years later after having a miracle rainbow baby, they will always take their baby to visit her older sisters, making sure that they are never forgotten.
>> We have to give our children back to God. Ultimately, our children are not for us. They're gifts, but ultimately we all go back to the father. So that's what I tried to do for the girls and that's what I hope that my message can be for for others.
