The Celestial Gift artifact set provides Mona with a 40% DMG bonus and 20% Energy Recharge, solving her previous artifact problems and making her a viable support for Arlecchino teams. Two competitive team options exist: Sucrose (with or without Burst infusion) and Fischl (with C6 providing 45% ATK and 180 EM). The Sucrose team requires careful rotation management to maximize Vaporize reactions, while the Fischl team offers a simpler rotation with higher DPS. Mona's constellations up to C4 significantly impact performance, with C4 providing 15% Crit Rate that can change crit circlet strategy.

Arlecchino can't stop getting NEW TEAMS!
Added:Hello everyone! Over the past few weeks I’ve been able to farm a good amount of artifacts and talent materials and so I’ve been able to test more Arlecchino teams and there is a lot to talk about. The new big hit is Celestial Gift Mona.
Before this patch Mona always had the problem of artifact sets. She didn’t really have any good, proper support set, like yeah you could have used Scroll I guess but you would never get the full buff from it, you could do Noblesse but Bennett was usually already on that, and you could have kinda used Tenacity but the uptime on it was not good and it was clunky. But all of that is now fixed because Celestial Gift gives a whopping 40% DMG bonus, which is almost an entire goblet’s worth, and it also gives Mona an extra 20% ER on the 2-piece which is actually quite helpful. So today we’re gonna look at Mona teams and how to play them and where to use them.
I’ve also done some more general testing for Durin across many teams, now that I have his Burst crowned and I’m not struggling with energy. He turned out to be a fair amount better than the video from 3 weeks ago, and I’ve also tried some of his teams from the comment section in that video AND even did a little signature weapon simulation testing, since we can roughly do that now. Alright then before we get started, we have the usual disclaimers. All my testing was done on my account with my builds, my weapons, artifacts, my playstyle and your results may vary. We can still extrapolate valuable conclusions from it but it’s something to keep in mind. Okay, let’s talk about Mona. She now has the new Celestial Gift set, and she is actually very strong now, especially with constellations.
You don’t need to have any of them, as you’ll see in my example she is C0, as unfortunately my standard pulls went into Jean. One thing that you do need however is another Hexerei character in the team. Both to enable the new artifact set and her buffs. And we really only have 2 of them that are competitive with the other Arle teams, and that's Sucrose and Fischl. Like yeah you could maybe do some quirky stuff with Venti or Prune or possibly even Albedo which I don’t have and can’t test unfortunately, but Sucrose and Fischl are actually serious options and today we’re gonna be looking at them. The constellations for Sucrose don’t matter at all, but for Fischl they do matter very much. Her C6 is not only a huge personal damage increase but will also double her Hexerei passive and we will be triggering both of them.
Lemme also quickly cover the builds, Sucrose you wanna have on VV with as much EM and Energy Recharge as you can get. You can also skip using her Burst entirely as it’s not gonna be a significant difference as I’ll explain later and you wanna have her on Wandering Evenstar or A Thousand Floating Dreams or anything with a lot of EM. My Fischl was on Golden Troupe and First Great Magic. I did find that she works best with a DPS set, and I’ll get more into that later.
Mona of course you wanna have on the new Celestial Gift set and Favonious Codex. And before you ask, no you cannot use TTDS. And lastly Bennett and Arlecchino are on their normal builds.
So, let’s talk Mona. I, on my account, and my skill issue, my builds bla bla bla bla bla I ended up getting around 127k with Sucrose and 130k with Fischl. I HATE comparing DPSes but if we were to compare it to my outdated Melt setup from the Nicole video I was hovering around 150k. Like that’s pretty good right? C0 Mona and we’re within 15% of Melt? With all 1.0 characters? I would say that’s pretty good and definitely a nice budget option that a lot of people will have available. Like sure, C6 Bennett, C6 Fischl, expensive, woo wee, but a lot of people might already have this team and you never know when it could potentially come in clutch in some random Stygian rotation. Before we get into the team and how to play it we need to first talk about Mona’s constellations. Because all of her Constellations up to C4 do make a difference. Her C1 increases the damage from Vapes. Pretty self-explanatory. C2 is a bit RNG but we will be doing a decent amount of Normal Attacks on Mona so more often than not we are gonna be triggering this effect and getting that additional Hydro application for even more Vapes.
C3 is the weakest one since you don’t get any additional DMG% from the talent level increases above 10 but it does let you save materials if you haven’t already crowned her Burst. And C4 is the big one, giving you just raw 15% Crit Rate. Something else to point out is that this is the constellation that usually makes you change your Crit Rate circlet into Crit Damage, and since we’re already getting 15%, we can actually leave our Crit Rate in the 70-80% range and do a bit of Crit fishing. I know it may sound stupid to do that on Arlecchino since her damage is spread across 18 to 21 individual hits but this is a legitimate strategy that speedrunners use and it could just be the difference between being able to clear a Stygian boss or not.
Ok so, how do you play the team? Let’s start with Sucrose first. There are two ways to play the Sucrose team. One is where you don’t use her Burst and the other is when you use the Burst every other rotation. Her Burst does have a 20 second cooldown and therefore we can’t use it every rotation. So let’s do the non-Sucrose Burst first. The rotation is very simple. You do Arlecchino Skill, then Bennett Skill and Burst, then Sucrose Skill, then Mona Skill and Burst and 2 Normal Attacks, then back to Arlecchino, Charged Attack, N3D, N3D, N3, then swap back to Mona, do 2 more Normal Attacks, swap back to Arlecchino, N3D, N4. And then repeat. This is the rotation that I found to be most consistent. It’s probably not the best one because I have seen speedruns where people played this team and did walk cancels and speedrunners are obviously better at the game than me, but again, this is the rotation I found to be most consistent. Anyways, the problem with this rotation is that Mona’s Skill and Burst don’t apply enough Hydro for Arlecchino to Vape every hit. That’s why we swap back to Mona to apply more Hydro once the aura is spent. But that’s not all. Because of the Mona swap we also let the, what I assume to be the 2.5s ICD, we let it tick down as we’re on-fielding Mona so that when we swap back to Arlecchino we end up vaping 2 Normal Attacks in a row because of how ICD works. Or at least, that’s what I think is going on, I’m not 100% sure. But it works.
However, you will notice that even after we swap back into Mona and re-apply hydro, we still end up with a couple un-vaped attacks near the end. If we wanna vape every hit we are going to need to infuse Sucrose’s Burst with Hydro. There is a setup with Sucrose where we can swirl Pyro with her skill and then infuse Hydro with her Burst. But her Burst, is what we in the industry like to call (rock clip here). To get it to infuse Hydro it needs to be literally touching the enemy, and not just touching it anywhere, it needs to be touching it very close to the center of the Burst’s hitbox. (play the clip of it not working) We start with Arlecchino into Bennett into Sucrose as usual, but instead of switching into Mona after we use Sucrose’s Skill, we will dash in the opposite direction on Sucrose and then use her Burst, which will make it land (hopefully) on top of the enemy rather than behind it.
Then we swap to Mona and then use her Skill, 1 Normal Attack, Burst and then 2 more Normal Attacks. We need to do that 1 Normal Attack in between the Skill and Burst to make sure that Sucrose’s Burst doesn’t infuse with Pyro. Then we swap back to Arlecchino, Charged Attack, N3D, N3D, N3D, N3, then swap back to Mona, 2 Normal attacks, swap back to Arlecchino, N3D, and then N1 or N2 or N3, depending on when your Skill is back on cooldown. As soon as it’s ready you re-cast her Skill and then start the next rotation, but this time you’re gonna do the normal rotation without Sucrose’s Burst, like I showed earlier. Then for the third rotation you infuse it again, then on the next on you don’t and then on the next on you do and you just keep going like that.
If you do the rotation right you will end up vaping all the vapeable hits on Arlecchino.
Now the question is, should you be doing this, is it worth it? And honestly no, probably not. The difference for me between doing it and not doing it was less than 2K DPS, so it’s really nothing crazy, and if you mess up the timing it can end up infusing Pyro which will ruin your whole rotation. But if you do have C1 or C2 or just a really strong build on your Arlecchino then by all means, go have fun. The rotation is really not that hard, it’s just that the hitbox of the butterfly is bullshit. So yea you can see how having C4 Mona here could make this team competitive with Melt. And you would get the bonus of having extra Fav particles.
But you would lose the shield. So, eh. Alright let’s do Fischl now. The Fischl variant is a lot more simple. You go Arlecchino into Bennett as usual, then from Bennett you go to Fischl and use either her Burst or Skill. You’re gonna have to alternate between those 2 every rotation. Then swap to Mona, Skill, Burst and 3 Normal Attacks, then back to Arlecchino, Charged Attack and do 6 N3Ds. And that’s it. No need to do any quirky swaps back and forth. We won’t have nearly as many vapes but that's okay. How did this team end up being 3K DPS higher than Sucrose? I have no idea. Maybe it’s that my Arlecchino’s build and combos are outdated, maybe it's cuz my Mona is C0 and the extra Vape damage and application don’t matter as much, and maybe it’s that Fischl gives us 45% ATK and 180 EM at C6. Maybe it’s a combination of all those things. I tried a couple different variations, I tried giving Fischl Elegy instead of First Great Magic and the results were roughly the same. I tried putting her on Tenacity and tweaking her build slightly in the substats editor but the DPS was just worse. I tried putting Fischl on the new set and Mona on Instructor but that was way worse.
Fischl is just not a good carrier of that set. Yeah idk, Fischl on a DPS build just ended up giving me the best results. Again, your results may vary, especially if you have cons on Arlecchino. And I did also try being funny with using Prune instead of Sucrose and it was almost really good. Sadly her Burst doesn’t infuse the same element throughout its duration, so halfway through it just starts applying Pyro. I also tried Venti and Nicole and it’s just… Just use Fischl/Sucrose. Anyway, that was it for Mona, hopefully you learned something useful and hey, you never know when it might come in clutch.
Now let’s move on to Durin, and if you’re enjoying the video so far leave a like, or I will heat the other side of your pillow this summer. Durin surprised me a bit, and he seems even more versatile than I thought. I re-tested him in Overload and Monopyro and got some interesting results. So what I did was I put him on Wolf-Fang on Celestial Gift and I equalized his build to be 32 substats, because I didn’t get that many good pieces on the new set.
First I tried using him to replace the Nicole or Bennett slot, so the team would be Arlecchino / Chevvy / Fischl / Durin and he performed really well. Since his Burst cooldown is 18 seconds, the amount of rotations you do won’t end up lining up to the ones in the last video so it won’t be a fair comparison but overall, within 5 rotations I ended up getting 151k, which was about the same as my Bennett team, and within 6 rotations I ended up getting 156k, which was just barely under my Nicole team. Again, his 6 rotations will be longer and therefore they might not fit in specific endgame scenarios with timers but still, those are some pretty impressive numbers. And I’m pretty sure if I put Noblesse on Chevreuse it could be even higher.
One other thing to mention is that he was on R5 Wolf-Fang which is I believe better than all the other 4 star weapons, and as good as some of the 5 stars, but not as good as the top 5 star options.
So you might have some upgrade potential. I would say right now he is definitely an upgrade over Bennett, as not only is the DPS similar but it’s also not circle impact.
As for Nicole I would say she is still better as she provides a very strong shield. I think by now we all understand that the quality of life Nicole brings translates better into actual practice. But that’s not to say that Durin does not have his advantages. First being that he is an additional source of Pyro application, so for content where you need as much Pyro application as you can get like the current Abyss bosses or the Lava-Dragon Statue or even the Glacial Wolf that appreciates off-field Pyro, he’s definitely a worthy contender. And of course if you already have his signature then he will be better than Nicole without her signature. I did a rough simulation of his signature in the attributes modifier and got 165k which was pretty cool.
I also tried replacing Chevreuse herself and adding Bennett and Nicole in the last slot and it turned out not as bad as I thought. 142k with Bennett and 140k with Nicole. Genuinely not bad but C6 Chevreuse just does too much. I have no idea how I calculated him to be a sidegrade when he came out. But yeah overall, Durin is a great option in Arlecchino Overload teams but also any Overload team. And he does have a great signature weapon as well as good early Constellations so that’s something else to keep in mind.
And lastly I did re-test the Monopyro team, and like I said in the video, leveling up his talents did end up making the new team pull ahead, now with a 10k DPS lead.
I still haven’t fully finished building Prune so it could be even higher. And also like I said he will have the advantage of the additional Pyro application for where it's needed, but he might struggle more in AoE and in terms of vertically investing in your Arlecchino.
Alright that's about it, I hope you enjoyed, I hope you learned something useful, if you did then please leave a like, comment, subscribe, all that stuff, and until next time, cya!
