[00:00:14]Today we are going to see the service of a China made record player. Normally these China record players are usant throw models. Most of them do not have serviceable parts inside. In this player, whatever speed we select, it always plays at 33 RPM speed. This may be a board complaint.

[00:00:35]There are two boards in this player. One is the speed control board and the other one is the amplifier board. This audio board is working properly. In the speed control board, there are a few dry solder connections. That means there is an improper connection between the PCB and the components. I have cleared all the dry solder connections. We cannot do any further service on this board. This preset is used for speed adjustment. We can increase or decrease the speed using this preset.

[00:01:17]Now it is rotating at 33 RPM.

[00:01:21]Now 45 RPN.

[00:01:23]Now 78 RPM.

[00:01:26]Now the speed control is working nicely.

[00:01:44]33 RPM is playing correctly. moving to 45 RPM.

[00:02:08]45 RPM is also playing correctly.

[00:02:12]Normally this China cartridge is not suitable for 78 RPM records but I am showing it only for demonstration.

[00:02:39]78 RPM is also working good. But please avoid using 78 RPM. There was only a small problem in this layer. Dry soldering. Now it is cleared and the player is working nicely.
