[00:00:02]Hello everybody. New traffic signals ahead. Yes, I'm standing by a road and over the other side of the road is a place called the uh Harefield Rehoming Centre.

[00:00:17]Now, this is not a place where they send people like me when I lose my marbles, but it's a Dogs Trust uh place. So, I presume it's for dogs to be rehomed.

[00:00:28]Kind of a Battersea Dogs Home for Harefield or similar. So, if you have a dog you don't like, you know where to bring it.

[00:00:38]Anyway, the main point of this video is not to do with dogs or homeless people or dogs.

[00:00:44]It's the Colne Valley uh HS2 Viaduct, which is just through the fence there. You can see it just above the the trees.

[00:00:55]It's got the parapets are up. That's the soundproof uh to stop uh people who live locally being annoyed.

[00:01:05]And as you can imagine, it just isn't anybody locally, but they're within a mile. There's a house around the corner there, about half mile up.

[00:01:13]Um so, that's looking after the environment. I haven't been here for a oh, many months.

[00:01:20]So, I want to see what they're doing, what progress has been made. It's a Sunday.

[00:01:26]They probably won't be any working today.

[00:01:29]Excuse me, it's the 3rd of May.

[00:01:31]But, uh you can just get a general gist. All around here, fields have been flattened, leveled, and uh uh not plowed, but made available for grass to grow. Vast fields, actually. I haven't filmed them because uh nothing more boring than filming a brown field and try to think of something to say. Anyway, this is Harvil Road, and you can see how it climbs up over the HS2 route. It's a new road.

[00:02:04]It was put in uh because uh of the construction schedule, really.

[00:02:09]It had to be the road had to be moved.

[00:02:12]There are over there there are some uh huts where the workers uh work work out of.

[00:02:20]I think there are fewer than they used to be.

[00:02:23]And right in the middle of the picture, there's a famous hill, artificial hill, over the Copthall Tunnel.

[00:02:31]And uh right at the top, you can see a little sort of ventilation building. Because you've got to have ventilation in a tunnel. Let's look at these signs. Warning, security officers.

[00:02:45]Uh construction area, keep out. Caution, CCTV in operation. There's a wonderful Big Brother uh podium there with cameras pointing in every direction.

[00:02:58]So uh uh they don't really want people breaking in. And well, why not? Would you break into something? Nothing to steal.

[00:03:06]Uh so let's have a look see what we can see in detail of the HS2 construction. I shall get close to this fence.

[00:03:14]And we can see uh quite a good section of uh the viaduct there. That was put together with uh Dominic two years ago.

[00:03:26]And uh it's all very neat and clean and tidy, and there's nothing much going on. You can see where the new grass has been planted because it's fresher. It's more of a lime green than uh than the sort of dull gray green uh of the weeds in front of me. There's a 30 mph limit on this road uh because it's tempting for for speed speed addicts, junkies, whatever, to come along here quite fast. It's quite a quite a good road.

[00:04:01]It's an entire wood being planted.

[00:04:04]People walking with a dog.

[00:04:06]Perhaps that's something to do with the homeless dog thing. Somebody beeped.

[00:04:13]I'm not sure if he recognizes me.

[00:04:16]This is SCS gate 3.5. I rather like that. It's nice to have a gate number over the decimal afterwards.

[00:04:28]So, there we are. This not nothing going on at the moment.
