Now this particular video is about the African-American African Caribbeans [music] and some foreigners who came to grace the occasion who came to celebrate the aquis with the king of the asant kingdom for the second [music] Trade slave trade coast [music] foreign minister pushing for a UN resolution said transatlantic [music] slave trade is the grievest uh crime or I mean the gravest crime [music] committed against humanity.

[00:02:40]their generation [music] from Africanameans and African Caribbeans [music] America Africanameans Caribbean Haiti you know Panama those countries those Caribbean countries Jamaica [music] from African Caribbeans They try to learn and then immerse, you know, themselves into it.

[00:03:26]>> [music] >> Now, another interesting thing that I also saw about I mean apart from these African-Americans is also the fact that um Ghanaians who have children or [music] who have given birth abroad also normally uh come back and there was one man who brought the whole family uh back home. he's [music] a Ghanaian living in the states and he brought all of them back home to actually come and also learn about uh their root or the asante uh about the asanti kingdom and so it's very very interesting and touching and I will use this medium to urge all Ghanaians who are [music] living in the diaspora uh to not forget their root and to try and you know as much as possible embibed in in your in our children the culture of their roots. If you are santi, you teach them asanti history.

[00:04:30]You teach them asanti customs. If he's from another tribe in Ghana, you teach them their language, their music, their food, and all of that. Their names, especially their names.
